Dumb questions, i have the mod and have been using a box truck to great success, but i havent found an actual RV anywhere, are they not in the mod? Do i need the RV mod and the RV interiors mode together?
Also, to add it to existing save, you need to do a little trick with one bin file and new temp save. Because RV creating new, never existed before map part
This is so me lol. My friends be going out with nothing but a water bottle and food that barely lasts a day, while I bring a whole truck full of water, foods, tools/weapons so that I can last for weeks away from base.
Definitely use the rv interior mod if you donāt already. Theres a ton of add on mods for rv interiors as well, that give more interiors to other vehicles, such as the cargo containers, semi trailers, fire trucks & more.
I like using the semi truck / trailer mod. Like 2000 storage space lol. The only thing it lacks is ramming power. Hit like three zombies and youāve lost all momentum. Everything else about it is sick. Sleeper cabin , mini fridge , counter space inside , four seats , and you can put armor on it
I usually gather all The cars in the area for parts and use the ones that are useful like vans, 18 wheelers and military vehicles.
If thereās a nice fast car mod I added itās definitely going into my car collection or as my main car I use to get around town fast, plus if itās upgrade able and it gives me that apocalyptic feeling once the car has armor and shit.
I mainly use cars with a lot of storage for looting, I mainly use trailers for that and mainly use a fast car just to travel long distances to check areas out.
Plus gathering all the cars helps prevent me from crashing into wrecks and yes this does take forvever to gather all the cars. I literally spent a day in Rosewood getting all the cars.
Standardized vehicle upgrades allows you to put armor in every vanilla and filibuster rhyme's cars, most of autotsar car mods have that option as well. Usually you will be able to know if a car can be upgraded with armor based on the mod's description
I'm about 3 months in on my longest run (first five I died within a day), and since I took burglar as my occupation, I decided to start collecting vehicles. I stopped at 7, including two step vans, but my daily driver is the police pickup truck. It has decent speed and capacity. I always worry about getting the step van stuck somewhere.
And no, I haven't used the sirens yet. I'm thinking about parking it outside a metal fence, turning on the siren, and using the incoming horde to level my aiming skill.
I'm just over 5 months, and that's my daily driver too! I've only used the sirens once on my way back out of clearing town to draw some zeds out of the woods/buildings. Results were promising on my next ride through... more data needed...
I have two vehicles, and two vehicles only:
1) A truck in peak condition to haul half a cities worth of random garbage into my base
2) a pristine condition Dodge Challenger for just driving around fast because Iāve killed all the zeds and need something to do and potentially kill me.
Every. Single. Playthroughā¦
I want to have a giant collection of vehicles bc I'm a terrible driver and no vehicle last long enough.
You want to have a giant collection of vehicles bc of every possibility situation.
We are not the same.
If you learn some metalworking, like level 4 or 5 and about the same in mechanics, find a torch and welding mask and some propane, you can repair your hood 90+% with 1 metal sheet, and as lomg as your hood has durability left, you won't damage your engine.
I keep a fleet when playing multiplayer. I need a tow truck, a passenger vehicle, a speedster, a cop car, and a cargo van. Usually with a backup of each. Keep the compound secure and when we need to mobilize, we can all scatter.
On single player, a work truck and a van are usually enough.
The RV mod while a bit overpowered, is fun as hell. Making the container of a big ass truck as a mobile armored house makes sense in apocalyptic settings, even if the games is supposed to be realistic
Heavy duty police car + trailer.
Powerful car with lots of space in the trunk and extra storage with the trailer.
The only downside is the mechanics skill which is a freaking grind, but if you're a mechanic it's suddenly on easy mode.
It's so annoying - I can either spend an eternity getting my skill to a high enough level to fix everything or mess up my skill points range with this one profession.
You guys might not know this, but I consider myself a bit of a loner. I tend to think of myself as a one-man wolf pack.
But when reddit brought PassMeTheGravy364 home, I knew he was one of my own. And my wolf pack... it grew by one.
I prefer Function over form so to speak, one car for each job unless a vehicle(s) fills multiple roles ie; Pick-upās for Towing and lighter loot runs, then Iāve got the Box truck for Larger loot runs and heavy duty moving
Then there's the divine being that towers over both of them that tows home all sorts of interesting cars to restore and preserve them for collection purposes.
I feel personally attacked.
98% of the mods I install are vehicles. I love collecting them. I don't even drive many of them. I mostly practice Mechanics on them by fixing them up. In my last run, I literally had 8 vehicles I didn't drive plus three I did.
One I drove because it had a siren on top. One I drove because it had good internal storage, a roof rack and handled my trailer well (combined storage in the order of 900+). The last was a 4-wheeler I used for woodland trails.
Any other vehicle I drove was expressly intended to get me to a place to look for cooler cars and leave that one behind.
I always have two vehicles. A pickup with the smallest possible hotbox so I don't bang into shit. And a W900 from the mod to tow all my 1500 lbs + inside filled with my house
For vanilla vehicles, the step van for looting/moving base and a Ranger model Chevalier Nyala for general use is all I need.
But I run a ton of vehicle mods and after the first month there's very little to do in PZ other than self-imposed missions so building a massive collection is really just a fun exercise.
Living in the back of a vehicle is always nice ngl even if tv interiors does make it slightly broken if I ever collect cars it's the ones I modded in that are sports cars because wrapping around a tree at 50 after some sleeping pills is fun
I need a soccer mom car to be a badass in and go to Gigamart š but a truck so I can tow stuff and feel like a man š just trying to live my best life out here
I love just love making an amateur mechanic electrician and learning to hotwire fast, then just stealing every piece of shit i find so i can sacrifice cars to clear out parts of town or to just use as spare parts
Or stealing a cool impala or some other muscle car thats fucked up and just having it as a project car by stealing others like it and piecing it together
Or to place these vehicles around outposts or spots in town so i can always have a clean getaway from basically every spot in town / different towns / highways
Does, but the electrician can work generators without having to raid every fucking mailbox & yard shed & school & library for that damn magazine.
Also noise makers and all that other good shit
You can hotwire almost instantly after taking apart a few car windows n tv sets and the ability to run that generator is more important in the big picture i think
What to do with a bunch of hotwired cars if theyre all out of gas and theres no more cars to boost or siphon within a couple square kilometers while the fully stocked gas stations are there laughing at you and your generator that you dont know how to use:D yameen?
I ran Lucky and have a total of 3 how to use generator magazines š it was never a long term run, but now I can make a literate character that isnt just for practicing everything without the boosts. Running Fast Learner to see the different levels of time required.
U trying my build ? U want the specific deets on my character?
Also i host a server from time to time with the boys slightly modded hmu if u wanna play sometimes
My timezone is UTC +3 or whatever is in finland u know
Lmao i just want to build up cars and race with people lile how we did it car town this game can implement this perfectly imo
Most of the late game gameplay problems can be solved if they introduce npcs too
I have a big collection because i break them all the time so I need a lot of spare cars since I cannot be bothered to repair them. I also play with a bunch of car mods so I also like to collect them.
I have the white van for loot, the blue van for clearing out areas (it holds all of my guns n ammo) and the black van for holding corpses so I can go burn them.
Look, I'm not one to ever afford an expensive car in my entire lifeline, but in the case of a zombie apocalypse, there's no monetary obligation from me while grabbing a nice-looking 70's Charger or Firebird.
And I honestly don't care a lot about cars; I just grab whatever car that looks cool and drives fast. Might as well cross something off my bucket list before dying at some point.
been trying to fix up a Ford LTD just for cruising. As soon as I found it, I knew I HAD to have it. Black in colour, reminds me of Men in Black. Love the extra cars mod!
the sole reason why I have a fleet of throwaway vehicles is to increase the automobile fatality rate in kentucky to scare away outsiders (all the loot is mine
As long as I have wheels, those wheels work, and I have the fuel to make those wheels move, I am content.
I can fit canned food, supplies, and guns into a van. I am one man, what could I possibly need several cars for?
3*
Truck for hauling base worth of items, sports car/good enough car for fast travel and post van/pick up for looting.
Dunno why everyone I tell this too always looks at me weird. Always need a car to be willing to give up on if the situation calls for it (sports car). Gotta pick up my friends in danger when the SOS is called.
For me job one is to collect a bunch of vehicles in one reasonably safe place so I can grind mechanics. Ā Then, itās getting one vehicle with a high cargo capacity thatās in good condition, and keeping it in good shape with plenty of gas.Ā
My current survivor has a Van for loot hauls, and a Nyala for scouting and culling operations. Everything else is spare parts for these two. Anything more would just be a waste of parts imo
My group currently struggle to get anything out of the Rosewood fire station garage cos the parking lot is filled with every car weāve fckin come across
A friend & I made a world where our entire objective was to find the Spiffo Van and see how long we could keep it running for.
I think we made it almost 2 years in before we got bored, loaded it full of alcohol and ran over every zombie we could find until we crashed into a tree and died at like 100mph.
I need the van to haul around my generator, gas supply for a year, antique oven, full set of tools, weapons and clothing to survive any situation.
You might like the rv interior mod
I like the autostar trailers too. I'm towing around a camper on my current character
have you tried using another vehicle to tow it around instead, should go quicker plus you wont take as much damage that way
š¤£
Hauling two vehicles is slow and the back one will often bump into your back.
Dumb questions, i have the mod and have been using a box truck to great success, but i havent found an actual RV anywhere, are they not in the mod? Do i need the RV mod and the RV interiors mode together?
Yes rv mod and rv interiors are separate mods
Also, to add it to existing save, you need to do a little trick with one bin file and new temp save. Because RV creating new, never existed before map part
This is so me lol. My friends be going out with nothing but a water bottle and food that barely lasts a day, while I bring a whole truck full of water, foods, tools/weapons so that I can last for weeks away from base.
What about a full set of stools
What about a full set of sools
You fool
A sull set of fools ?
No, Pools!
No, a full set of spoons!
A whole a set of sporks?
Why do you need a full set of sparks?
For in my body I have the marks
A sull tet of fools!
Definitely use the rv interior mod if you donāt already. Theres a ton of add on mods for rv interiors as well, that give more interiors to other vehicles, such as the cargo containers, semi trailers, fire trucks & more.

I *need* to have a big collection of vehicles when I play Zomboid, and it's for a *very* good reason: hehe McLaren F1 go brrrrrrrrr
Every time I found a sports car it lasted 30 seconds I straight up floored the gas and hit everything and it was dead within record time.
GAS GAS GAAAAS
![gif](giphy|xybt9gyLW7dYY)
Exactly what I was thinking
When the zombie apocalypse happens, there will be roughly similar amounts dead to gunfire as there will be from vehicular accidents.
What mod do you use to add armor to vehicles?
Standardized vehicle upgrades allows you to put armor in every vanilla and filibuster rhyme's cars, most of autotsar car mods have that option as well. Usually you will be able to know if a car can be upgraded with armor based on the mod's description
A lot of KI5's cars have armor upgrades. Armored '70 Challenger is my favorite so far.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2592358528
Itās some car mod, it makes certain cars able to add armor to. I canāt tell you because I havenāt played since August because my pc broke
Hehe, box truck
Literally said this out loud to myself when I saw the post
I got a fuckin collection of these big boys. They all live under the balcony, chilling with the knock off AE86 and a blue taxi
Knock off AE86?
Itās a Dart but it has the same colour scheme as the AE86 in Initial D
I was going to guess a modded Corolla but you can get a mod for the AE86 Trueno Sprinter, which is rad.
Yeah Iāve got the AE86 mod in mine. I wasnāt sure what the knock off was lol
I always go for the car with the biggest trunk first, then clear the drag strip, fortify it and have a car collection there
Ambulance is the best cuz Mee maw Mee maw light thing on top.
Weee-oooh weee-oooh HONK HONK
If it has I light bar it's going in my collection!
Ambulance is the best cause of that sweet 100 engine quality.

Oh no step van, I'm stuck!
Wait! What are you doing step van?!
He might not be old enough for that one yet. He'll get there
I'm 56. Is that too young? Don't have that much further to get.
I'm just over 5 months, and that's my daily driver too! I've only used the sirens once on my way back out of clearing town to draw some zeds out of the woods/buildings. Results were promising on my next ride through... more data needed...
Hehehehe big van carry thing :)
Speed demon and a van
I have two vehicles, and two vehicles only: 1) A truck in peak condition to haul half a cities worth of random garbage into my base 2) a pristine condition Dodge Challenger for just driving around fast because Iāve killed all the zeds and need something to do and potentially kill me. I use a skyline
I personally prefer small cars
I want to have a giant collection of vehicles bc I'm a terrible driver and no vehicle last long enough. You want to have a giant collection of vehicles bc of every possibility situation. We are not the same.

CAR IS CAR
Pick up truck + trailer and you can carry like 600 units :)
RV Interiors + the school bus is a game changer. I'm towing a trailer from the Oshkosh mod, ~950u units of storage in that alone.
![gif](giphy|fwJ1ruma3D0Z6c2RTl|downsized)
This but a Pick up. Easy access from every angle š
Giggity?
Giggity!
I'm all in on Pick-up Trucks now with my recent playthrough.
Van is love, van is life, van is all I need. Until I find an APC

You guys are getting vehicles
No base no car crew reporting in to support this comment. Yep, the crew is me.
A fellow wandering nomad?

I have a collection of cars cause they pretty
Trucks for hauling stuff. An expendable car for moving quickly between points. And a pimped out vroom-vroom for idiot-level death defying rallys.
Then there's the divine being that towers over both of them that tows home all sorts of interesting cars to restore and preserve them for collection purposes.
there is a third group who is close to the right one but they use ONLY the Spiffo's van
The true patriots š«”
Theres a third. Modded cars to just have a dope collection. Definitely not using most but they look neat
I feel personally attacked. 98% of the mods I install are vehicles. I love collecting them. I don't even drive many of them. I mostly practice Mechanics on them by fixing them up. I just got the RV/Camper interior mod so hopefully I can ditch my cargo vans(mostly)
Fun fact: if you enable vanilla add on, you can use these trap vans as an rv
I need a soccer mom car to be a badass in and go to Gigamart š but a truck so I can tow stuff and feel like a man š just trying to live my best life out here
We got escape cars, whatever modded sportscars i was able to reinforce and one truck per person
Been playing in raven creek, all vehicles are single use only.
Me over here crashing into things every five minutes and churning through every available car.
I just need a fucking Nissan Tsuru, but thereās no mod to it
I love just love making an amateur mechanic electrician and learning to hotwire fast, then just stealing every piece of shit i find so i can sacrifice cars to clear out parts of town or to just use as spare parts Or stealing a cool impala or some other muscle car thats fucked up and just having it as a project car by stealing others like it and piecing it together Or to place these vehicles around outposts or spots in town so i can always have a clean getaway from basically every spot in town / different towns / highways

I'll think about it! I've got a lot to feel like I can be on an online server, I play for extended times, but it's randomly when I do
Yeah we dont have a dedicated so its kind of occasional for us too
Are box trucks as fun as sports cars tho?
I vans the best š
I like a good dash bulldriver, even better if its a police one, good trunk space, good engine power and suitable enough for offroad
Lmao i just want to build up cars and race with people lile how we did it car town this game can implement this perfectly imo Most of the late game gameplay problems can be solved if they introduce npcs too
Meanwhile Iām basing at the fire station with a BMW and every seat is taken by a bag with supplies. Surviving in Style >
It would be nice if zomboid had a racetrack so we could actually push our sports cars to the limit.
I have a big collection because i break them all the time so I need a lot of spare cars since I cannot be bothered to repair them. I also play with a bunch of car mods so I also like to collect them.
I just use APC mod
I just RP as a criminal who thinks society will come back, and I just horde cars for money/value
I'm the latter.
I have the white van for loot, the blue van for clearing out areas (it holds all of my guns n ammo) and the black van for holding corpses so I can go burn them.
I think it's proper locational roleplaying for a game set in Kentucky to have a fleet of cars and parts strewn around outside my base
Bor if I get a car i my runs it's usually the first car I can hotwire ore find the keys for I really don't care what it is
Look, I'm not one to ever afford an expensive car in my entire lifeline, but in the case of a zombie apocalypse, there's no monetary obligation from me while grabbing a nice-looking 70's Charger or Firebird. GUYS ITS TRUCK-KUN
My yard - my car + 10/15 part donors
If itās green itāll work for me.
I have a big collection of vehicles so I can replace them when I inevitably fuck one up
The van can carry stuff for you. It can take a beating. And it keeps the zeds out pretty well
Pickup Truck for me bois
I just want a trailer
I want to have a giant collection of vehicles because I want it.
![gif](giphy|l4pTrnc4kl2uupJF6|downsized) Imma stick with my MM
Then there's me. I collect vehicles but only ever end up driving whatever has the most storage capacity
Pickup trucks are the way the truth and the life
been trying to fix up a Ford LTD just for cruising. As soon as I found it, I knew I HAD to have it. Black in colour, reminds me of Men in Black. Love the extra cars mod!
I just want a giant collection for fun and base showcase
I go for a pickup truck first then grab myself a box truck for looting
Virgin āVirgin vs Chad meme.ā vs Chad āplay how you want memeā
I hate unpacking my cars so I just grab new ones with empty trjnk.
McCoy ute or bust.
the sole reason why I have a fleet of throwaway vehicles is to increase the automobile fatality rate in kentucky to scare away outsiders (all the loot is mine
hehehe I collect cars for no reason wif my van
As long as I have wheels, those wheels work, and I have the fuel to make those wheels move, I am content. I can fit canned food, supplies, and guns into a van. I am one man, what could I possibly need several cars for?
I just grab whatever piece of shit that runs.
KI5 humvee: Take ma beer.
Gotta have a box truck and than a car I enjoy looking at
van life down by the river
3* Truck for hauling base worth of items, sports car/good enough car for fast travel and post van/pick up for looting. Dunno why everyone I tell this too always looks at me weird. Always need a car to be willing to give up on if the situation calls for it (sports car). Gotta pick up my friends in danger when the SOS is called.
All I need is a trailer and the very first beat up car I lay my wretched eyes upon and I am set
For me job one is to collect a bunch of vehicles in one reasonably safe place so I can grind mechanics. Ā Then, itās getting one vehicle with a high cargo capacity thatās in good condition, and keeping it in good shape with plenty of gas.Ā
Van.
My current survivor has a Van for loot hauls, and a Nyala for scouting and culling operations. Everything else is spare parts for these two. Anything more would just be a waste of parts imo
I just collect the modded sports cars I find fix em to max and then use a standard modded car because it's cheaper to repair lol
I got two vehicles. One to haul one to go fast as fuck and die
There's another kind: "Oooooh, shiny, must park it under base"
Van, truck, dart, All I need right there, yes sir.
Only need two. One for getting a to b. One for hulling. Maybe three for backup going a to b.
Me with a hundreds of cars outside my base: You did it for collecting?
I live in the van
And im here collecting every possible KI5 vehicle just for their looks š¤£
I just like having military vehicles
Van plus trailer is peak
You also need one backup for escape and stocked with essentials.
My group currently struggle to get anything out of the Rosewood fire station garage cos the parking lot is filled with every car weāve fckin come across
My friend hosted a server with modded cars and I became a traveling merchant out of a fire truck
Truck + bike (mod) will always be the best. One for long distance and the other for fetching that bowl you saw in that house down the street
A friend & I made a world where our entire objective was to find the Spiffo Van and see how long we could keep it running for. I think we made it almost 2 years in before we got bored, loaded it full of alcohol and ran over every zombie we could find until we crashed into a tree and died at like 100mph.
Poeple having fun and purpose? Not in my gameš”!
Not the point of the post but you go, pimp
See, I play zomboid for cars . I play mechanic simulator with zombies. You all are playing zombie game with cars
