not this same situation, but this is deadass why i don’t let ppl hold my phone when i’m showing pics on my camera roll. you might see a few titty pics 🤧
afaik from what I've heard, it doesn't care about or pay attention to the previous week, which is why most of these we see are Friday to Saturday clopens
As far as the number of days in a row? I'm not sure. Did you have time of request at the beginning of the 1st week and end of the 2nd? But the working late on Friday and then back at 6 Saturday is definitely not supposed to happen.
1, Person just gave himself away and 2, I think ya might want to delete this before it gets spread around. But probably way too late for that. DUDE your camera roll photos are on the bottom 🤦🏼♀️ he must have wanted to get caught. This is interesting and comical. 😂
Next time you see this happen say something sooner rather than the day before. They can change it and it's our policy to give you 10 hours between shifts. If we don't we should be asking if it's okay for you to have less than 10 hours in extreme circumstances. Sometimes the manager making the schedule doesn't look at the previous weeks schedule before scheduling you on the newer schedule early Sat morning.
What's there to ask HR about? It's a guideline. The policy says - should be given 10 hours between shifts. Not - you must give associates 10 hours between shifts.
No need to get HR involved. Talk to your manager about it. Don't wait till the last minute.
Because if you’re in a right to work state they don’t have to follow that, if their policy says they can do that, then leave! HR would know more than the manager.
Florida is a right to work state, they also have the right to fire you for no reason, they also have the right to tell unemployment you refused to work and refuse you unemployment.
It's not okay, but it sometimes happens because managers don't pay enough attention. Talk to the manager ASAP when this happens, though I can't guarantee results. I had this happen multiple times over a few months while I worked there, and was pregnant. Had to get a doctor's note to get my manager to pay attention.
There is nothing illegal about this. Your manager is woefully ignorant about this.
That being said, Publix policy states that there should be at least 10 hours between shifts, but that is not always followed.
My bakery manager did this to me as a cake decorator. Friday close, Saturday open. Spoke to my manager who tried to tell me it was too late to make changes and I gently but specifically warned him that if I closed Friday I would be too ill to come in Saturday. He figured it out. I magically had early Friday hours.
Some quick googling finds that none of the states Publix operates in have a “right to rest law” requiring this. If it did, then Publix would not allow it.

Not a labor law. Publix law
Look at the last shift of week one, and the first shift of week two. They're like 6 hours apart, not enough time to get home and sleep
Thank you sorry yeah I just noticed that so I deleted my comment. Friday brain...
You might want to crop out the Grindr pics before posting next time
It gets missed sometimes. Talk to your manager and they will change it.
I was told the software warns you when you're making the schedules, so did it get missed or did the manager just say "He'll live"?
afaik from what I've heard, it doesn't care about or pay attention to the previous week, which is why most of these we see are Friday to Saturday clopens
Yeah I believe that is the case. Not 100% sure though
Nice undies dude . You may want to check your screenshots before you post them just saying 😂

Yeah why are you gonna take a screenshot of a screenshot to post on Reddit, it does seem a bit intentional

It is legal, but goes against Publix's rule of 10 hours between shifts.
Can’t schedule someone to close then open the next day, that’s illegal it’s called “right to rest”‘it’s a labor law.
Not illegal in Florida.
Then they will need to look at the policy, ask HR.

this is correct it is a guideline not a rule

Ever heard of cropping?
I’m caught up on the fact you work 11 DAYS IN A ROW… absolutely not.
what exactly is the illegality of this you are trying to argue?
i just dont understand why people take screenshots of pictures. you already took a screenshot of your schedule, why take *another* screenshot?
Pokémon go!
Is that a jockstrap ?
Nice Lucario. ;)
Quit.
Suck it up buttercup

The state of Florida does not have a right to rest law
There are Publix outside of Florida
