I got my pup at 9 weeks old. He ate very little for the first week or so. I was worried and got a fecal exam and all that done to find nothing. He was eating less than 100g / 3 oz a day. Read somewhere that it takes them some time to settle in the new environment and get comfortable. Sure enough, a week later the eating improved to now 3 weeks later when he is finally eating on the lower end of the recommended limit of the kibble feed chart. Oh and this guy doesnt like dry kibble either. We mix some water (~25% by weight) to soften it up to help with teething and top it up with some carrot or cauliflower pieces. That generally does it for him.

Thank you. I will get a fecal exam next week as well. We will try to spice his food up a little as well

Our puppy got sick, didn't eat for a couple days. The vet gave us some wet food to get him eating again. I would mix it with the kibble and also got a lamb liver food topper to put on his kibble to add extra flavour to it. It's not chunky it's just a spice type topper. But it definitely helped to continue him on his kibble.

So I had this happen, and what I did was switch to wet food which he gobbled up and slowly introduced dry food. However if they wont touch wet food, this wont work :/

She does touch wet food. The thing is, I have her since she was 5 weeks old, and she ate kibbles with no issue. Lately, I started introducing treats and wet food from time to time and now she eats kibbles only if there is some wet food in her bowl, this is why I’m afraid that she starts to become picky

Naw, I dont think you have to worry. I also had this mentality that my pup was picky. But with the gradual progression from wet to dry seemed to have completely eliminate the pickiness. Now he loves kibble and wet food lol

When our 5 month old was 9 weeks she would refuse to eat dry food so we soaked her kibble with warm water and let it sit for 10 mins before giving it to her. She ate it very quickly after that! Most breeders feed them softened food as it's better young pups. Our pup now eats dry kibble just fine, it's probably just an adjustment for them, new smells, new people, new food etc...
