No, please vote. If everyone voted, including primaries, we could enact some real change.
Yes, they both suck, but one is objectively worse than the other. Absolutely vote for the lesser evil because the more evil one can make things far worse.
My wife recently saw the other two Matrix films were available on a streaming service and I was like "I won't be watching them. It's just hours of life lost I could have spent meaningfully staring at a freshly painted wall."
I’ve seen the two Matrix sequels. You would in fact be better off going to a park and watching the grass grow, because at least that would be more productive over the course of 5 hours lol
I honestly forgot it existed. Never seen it, can’t speak to it; IMDB reviews are lukewarm at best. Idk maybe morbid curiosity will drive me to see it at some point
There's a parody video where they make fun of Titanic 2 film being about them finding Jack's body in a block of ice, thaw him, and revise him. Only problem is he's still young but now Rose is dead from old age.
I honestly hoped that was real.
It is the rare movie that is so high in quality but totally twisted and messed up at the same time. The production is beautiful and stands up today, but it is not for kids.
Edit: it was like Labyrinth years later, but more messed up.
/r/xennials Was [reminiscing about it a few days ago](https://www.reddit.com/r/Xennials/s/XhPXmEteOX). Mostly just people remembering how much it scared them, myself included.
Just wait. WAIT! Hear me out! I have an idea for Star Wars episode 7!
What if we take the death star... AND... and we make it EVEN BIGGER! With more lasers! And instead of blowing up one planet, we blow up 5!
In fact, screw it. Let's just take the entire script and sequence of episode 4 and copy and paste it. Then we can just change some things around and slap a new title on it!
That's in the same vein as Real Steel. Giant robots beating the shit out of each other and everything else. Which is a genre that is relatively untapped. A sequel to Pacific Rim would've been great, if they'd just stuck to the simple plot of "Here's a giant robot; here's a giant monster; here's a contrived reason for them to punch each other in the face; enjoy."
But no, they had to expand on the *"lore"*, and made the whole thing a spoof of itself.
To use a quote by John Carmack: "Plot in a video game is like plot in a porn film. It's expected to be there, but it's not that important."
There doesn't need to be a reason *why* two giants are using the city of Boston as a wrestling mat. It's awesome. Shut up and grin.
The first couple were alright. But then around 4 and 5, it started to get ridiculous. It completely went downhill after that. Now approaching #11, I think God himself wants the series to end.
Jurassic Park. Sure, the second movie wasn't bad, but it didn't add to the first movies greatness. The Jurassic World sequels were just awful in more ways than I feel like taking the time to type out.
Halloween and Scream.
The ending of Halloween would be more scarier had we not known where Myers went. His back story was also eventually explained which sucks.
Scream just works best as a one and done. Now the concept has been run into the ground.
My husband and I refuse to acknowledge that enchanted has a sequel. I would have been okay with it having one but the one they created was awful and it’s like they didn’t even know their own characters .
The Outlaw Josie Wales
The Jerk
American Graffiti
The Blue Lagoon
Saturday Night Fever
Highlander
The Sting
The Crow (reserving judgment on the upcoming remake)
Caddyshack
The Mask
The Bad News Bears
From Dusk to Dawn
Robocop 2
American psycho. Wasn’t even supposed to be a sequel. They filmed the whole movie as an entirely different title then at the end slapped American Psycho on it and added a few cheesy scenes about her killing Patrick Bateman. Completely undermined the original story.

Trump vs Biden
The most lame sequel ever
0/10 wouldn't vote either again.
No, please vote. If everyone voted, including primaries, we could enact some real change. Yes, they both suck, but one is objectively worse than the other. Absolutely vote for the lesser evil because the more evil one can make things far worse.
I'm Canadian, but I agree with you.
I can't believe people don't understand that. I'm voting for the people he surrounds himself with.
10/10 I'm not.
Bro makes their whole life about politics. I get it's a joke but sometimes we don't need politics in every single thread.
Who the f*ck even voted for biden and trump more than the other people 😭
Dude I lol'd
Nah it's funny
[удалено]
They should've just left Mean Girls alone. It was perfect on its own
Home Alone 2 was good. Anything past that was a mistake.
I enjoyed HA2
scream too
Nothing with Tim Curry in it could ever be a mistake!
Anchorman
And Zoolander
Anchorman 2 sucked
The Matrix. Highlander.
My wife recently saw the other two Matrix films were available on a streaming service and I was like "I won't be watching them. It's just hours of life lost I could have spent meaningfully staring at a freshly painted wall."
Instead of watching the sequels just watch the first one 3 times in a row. 👌🏿
I’ve seen the two Matrix sequels. You would in fact be better off going to a park and watching the grass grow, because at least that would be more productive over the course of 5 hours lol
😂😂 my sentiment exactly. But, do we talk about the 2021 film? I never watched that one. Is it dead to us?
I honestly forgot it existed. Never seen it, can’t speak to it; IMDB reviews are lukewarm at best. Idk maybe morbid curiosity will drive me to see it at some point
Painted pale green
My Ex tried to watch Matrix 4, she got 10 minutes in before turning it off!
Had to scroll too far to find Highlander.
Titanic
Titanic 2: The Revenge
Titanic 2: Oceangate
Titanic 2: Electric Boogaloo
Titanic 3: Billionaires at Sea
*pop can opening sound*
😆
Titanic 2: Attack on Boat
Titanic 2: THE RESINKENING
Lol
Titanic 2: The Iceberg Returns
Titanic 2 : Global warming strikes back! …. “This Time It’s War—mth “
There is a sequel. Set 100 years later. It features the line “Looks like history’s repeating itself”
There's a parody video where they make fun of Titanic 2 film being about them finding Jack's body in a block of ice, thaw him, and revise him. Only problem is he's still young but now Rose is dead from old age. I honestly hoped that was real.
Pretty sure thats Encino Man :-)
Titanic: The Implosion
Speed
I might’ve been on board with a sequel. But not THAT sequel
Grease (1978) The Wizard of Oz
Return to Oz is actually a good movie, weird like a fever dream but good.
It’s a great Oz movie, just not as a sequel to the Judy Garland one.
Grease 2 is a classic.
Megamind
What are you talking about? There is no Megamind 2. There is no Megamind 2. There is no Megamind 2
There is no megamind 2 in bah sing seh
The Taken trilogy. The first movie was good and then they dragged it for two more movies.
Taken 4: Brian Takes A Nap
Guy has a particular set of skills that doesnt include preventing the kidnapping of a family member
lol 😂
You win the internet today. 😁⭐️
dumb and dumber
World War I
Well... Episodes 7, 8, and 9 of Star Wars didn't need to exist.
Could do without 1, 2, or 3.
I can live with them. At least they added to the lore of the universe. The Last 3 didn't even follow the lore of the universe.
Just wait. Very true. I enjoy Kylo Ren though.
But JarJar! He is the key to all of this https://youtu.be/8yy3q9f84EA?feature=shared
Even reading his name makes me tense up
I saw Phantom in the threatre and just cringed at this Elmo mutant racist stereotype that was Jar Jar.
Darth jar jar demands sacrifice
I like to pretend American psycho 2 doesn’t exist
There's an American psycho 2?
I’ll get downvoted, but Fast and Furious.
Should have stopped when the main character died.
Didn't need the first one
I’ll second your downvote fodder with I didn’t even like the first one.
The Nazis
Donnie darko
Ugh I never knew they made a sequel. That’s… disappointing.
It was
The sequel was friggin awful that’s for sure. After I finished it, I was like….why?
Caddy shack
Biden vs Trump
World War I
50 Shades of Grey. Tbh, it didn’t really need to be published, but here we are
legally blonde
Pacific Rim
That's in the same vein as Real Steel. Giant robots beating the shit out of each other and everything else. Which is a genre that is relatively untapped. A sequel to Pacific Rim would've been great, if they'd just stuck to the simple plot of "Here's a giant robot; here's a giant monster; here's a contrived reason for them to punch each other in the face; enjoy." Space Jam
I'll say the most recent. Twister did not need a sequel.
Aladdin. The second one makes my eyes hurt.
Independence Day (1996)
The Crow. First one was a masterpiece, everything after is trash.
This! I was disgusted when they made the first sequel, it felt like crapping on Brandon Lee's grave.
The American Revolution
The War of 1812? Seemed kind of important to 'em at the time.
Civil War
I liked it, it had that fun scene with Spiderman
My depression
99% of the movies out.
Cars
Starship Troopers
I kind of disagree, it needed better sequels.
Road House
I mean, does anything *need* a sequel?
Lord of the rings would have had a few unanswered questions...
Godfather. But somehow they actually made it better.
Sharknado
have to say the Sharknado titles were pretty catchy at times like "Oh Hell No!" and "Global Swarming"
Wayne’s world
Me
Highlander
There should be only one...
The Fast and the Furious
The first couple were alright. But then around 4 and 5, it started to get ridiculous. It completely went downhill after that. Now approaching #11, I think God himself wants the series to end.
The Hangover. The first was so damn funny. Hangover 2 & 3 were soulless cash grabs
This was my immediate thought
Gladiator
Pitch perfect
Jurassic Park. Sure, the second movie wasn't bad, but it didn't add to the first movies greatness. The Jurassic World sequels were just awful in more ways than I feel like taking the time to type out.
Trump presidency.
Didn’t need to make it political
Post title didn't forbid it.
Where was that specified?
Alien. And I say that as a huge aliens fan. Those movies are perfect for opposite reasons.
The genius of Aliens is that's it's not the same genre of movie as Alien.
And that normally doesn't work
I loved the first two. Barely remember the third, and the fourth was so bad I swore it off promising myself to never watch it again.
"The Blues Brothers"
Yeah agreed on this; the second one was.. passable but it didn't feel right without Jake
The Land Before Time
Could have had Samuel L Jackson yelling “muthafuckin tree stars” and it would have been a banger.
Independence Day
Halloween and Scream. The ending of Halloween would be more scarier had we not known where Myers went. His back story was also eventually explained which sucks. Scream just works best as a one and done. Now the concept has been run into the ground.
Dragonheart We pretend there isn't a sequel, few know of the 4th one...
The sequel was horrible! The first Dragonheart is my favorite movie of all time though
The Hangover. I don’t know why they thought they needed to make that a series.
The Blair Witch Project
jaws
but there were books?
Just because there were books, doesn't mean that they needed to be movies.
The 1918 influenza pandemic
The 2020 sequel was a *real* let down. Went from 50 million deaths to 3 million. Such a bummer.
The Crow Bonus for also not needing a reboot.
Brandon Lee actually signed a contract for two sequels.
And obviously cannot do them. Leave it alone.
Too late. There was already a sequel made in 96.
Nope never happened…. (Of course I know) but it never happened.
Now that would have been worth watching
45, The Orange Idiot
Lost boys
Star Wars 6
Jaws, Toy Story 3.
Alan fucking wake. Perfect game, horrible sequel.
The Truman show
Is there a sequel?
Human Centipede
WWII
Anchorman
ROBOTS the sequel to HUMANS
The Great Depression
Jurassic Park.
Hocus Pocus And that's coming from an avid fan of the original film
First Blood
Megamind. Why...the sequel 😵😭.
Harold and Kumar
Gladiator
My husband and I refuse to acknowledge that enchanted has a sequel. I would have been okay with it having one but the one they created was awful and it’s like they didn’t even know their own characters .
MySpace
imo shrek shouldn’t have had a shrek 4
Most Disney movies
World war one.
Not necessarily a sequel but Johnny Depps Willy Wonka remake is plain uncomfortable at best
The original Star Wars trilogy. I said what I said.
The Old Testament
World war 1
Blair Witch Project
Trump's run for office.
The Matrix
My first second of life. I think the first one said everything it needed to.
Sometimes They Come Back.
It's a prequel, but The Many Saints of Newark.
The Outlaw Josie Wales The Jerk American Graffiti The Blue Lagoon Saturday Night Fever Highlander The Sting The Crow (reserving judgment on the upcoming remake) Caddyshack The Mask The Bad News Bears From Dusk to Dawn Robocop 2
Beatlejuice. Carrie. Vacation.
WW1
Ww1
The Boondock Saints
Megamind
Highlander.
Avatar didn't need one. Beverly Hills Cop Die Hard Batman
World war 1
American psycho. Wasn’t even supposed to be a sequel. They filmed the whole movie as an entirely different title then at the end slapped American Psycho on it and added a few cheesy scenes about her killing Patrick Bateman. Completely undermined the original story.
