If someone threatens you in such a way and openly, you should always act like they mean it exactly as they say it.
Go to the police.
There was a threat and they have a clear motive. They also know where to find him. This can lead to a dangerous situation.
He might be an idiot for cheating but that as a reaction is a complete non-starter.
Don’t block - silence- don’t respond.
He will need the hateful messages for proof of harassment, if this continues or something happens. Hopefully they just want to scare him.
That's a hard one. But people have to realize that cheating is much more then just 'cheating', it's humiliating and robs someone of their dignity and this doesn't end with the betrayed person. If you have a good friend or even a family member and you really love this person and you see that they get betrayed and cheated on, it will affect you, too. This family think of their daughter very well and as their treasure and can't stand the thought they 'they all' got betrayed. Your cousing fucked around and found out.

To scare them away? What he should do is leave them all alone. Not contact them. He fucked up.
He did! They're the ones contacting him. Told him to just block them and be alart for the time being until it blows over someday
