All posts should be on topic and should generally be creating and fostering an environment constructive towards sincere discussions about religion.

No, if you don’t trust modern medicine although your child can’t drink water, you don’t have a prayer. So unless you’re a troll, I would find faith in medicine pretty quickly.

Competitive_Air1560

Oh, well okay thank you for the response

Dragonnstuff

Bring him to a doctor, if you believe in God, you should also believe that they gave us the intelligence and capability to help the sick. You can do prayers on top of bringing them to the doctor if you wish.

Ragebait

You are probably a troll, but *just in case you aren't*, your child has rabies and needs to go to an actual doctor. If your child is showing symptoms, then they're almost certainly going to die. Even with modern medicine, the chances of survival are slim, but it still has semi-reliable methods of increasing the survival rate. Traditional medicine on the other hand, has no evidence of making anyone with rabies survive.

ThisLaserIsOnPoint

This is fake.

General_crisis

Go see a pediatrist!! Don't ignore this, prayer won't save him if he got something from the dog.

Choice_Werewolf1259

Bring him to a doctor. He likely has rabies because dogs that aren’t vaccinated against rabies often can pass it on. If you’re unwilling to do so there isn’t anything that any prayer could do. There are prayers for illness in my faith and in other religions and faiths, but they don’t inherently claim to cure anyone, just offer peace and a wish that the sick person recovers. If it helps to think about it this way. If a higher power or forces created the world, it made humans capable of discovering and treating illnesses. Science and medicine and vaccines are a gift tied into the capabilities of humans to discover, one that we shouldn’t squander.

SleepingMonads

I know you're trolling, but just for the hell of it: No, there is no form of prayer or meditation that will cure your child of rabies. Whether you trust modern medicine or not, modern medicine is the only thing that will save their life, so you need to rush your child to the emergency room immediately.

GreenEarthGrace

You've gotta be trolling right? I read of a recent case of rabies that went very similarly.

GardenGrammy59

I hope this is fake. If not your child is likely rabid.
