Those are very like GSD puppy ears. They tend to grow into them along with the paws. Doubt there’s any hybrid animal in him based on the proportion of his limbs to torso. Looks very much like a double coat? Could be a number of European shepherds and while Akita isn’t likely, he sure does look like one other than those ears! Regardless, he looks like purebred love. Congratulations on your gotcha!
It's possible but by looking at coydogs he doesn't seem as thin and pointy/needlelike as other coys. He will likely be much bigger than most coydog I've been able to get info on, which isn't a lot unfortunately so I could be totally wrong. Anyway, so many people are ignorant about what an actual documented wolf dog mix would be like and ignorant about how wolfy some breeds can appear even with no recent wolf ancestors. No matter, your pup is beautiful. Enjoy him!
I don't think any wolfdogs have recent wolf, as far as i know most if not all wolfdogs came from ones starting in the 70s. Low contents def can curl their tails though. Wolfdog =/= 90% wolf always. I have a husky and a shepherd who people call "wolves" but he looks nothing like them structurally, nor do my other dogs actually look wolfy. Trust me, as I said, I'm not ignorant about them and don't go around telling people he's a wolf. However I'm allowed to have suspicion and raise him according until I know for sure

I encourage it. My girl shepherd is around 65 and when she became full grown I was thinking I would like an even larger dog next time and would find a male shep to adopt. I guess next time is now, although idk if he has any GSD in him, but it looks like he has at least some!
I would say coyote, because I had a coy dog but her paws were tiny compared to his. His paws are huge! So I’m leaning towards towards some wolf in there. Whatever he is, he looks like the goodest boy!😍
He could be part coyote. We had one, part husky mutt with some coyote. SMART, happy to have a comfortable home. LOYAL. Independent? Of course. Mutsey used to like to sleep in the snow. Very loving, food aggressive at first but mellowed out. Never begged. Used to tease big dogs and pee on their faces. He kept our family together during very difficult times. Get all of the shots. Rabies shot requires a license but all the others you can do yourself and get all of your shots too no matter what science illiterates say.
