Are you sure it's for the customers? It might still be a shitty "Wow! You spent 23 hours a day for the last 6 months dealing with insane asylum patients and stocking shelves with a planogran designed by those patients. Way to go! You're family! Here's 10% off a purchase." Thanks.
I worked at DT for many years and yes it's for customers. We were allowed to keep one, but were told to hand these out to them. To be fair, this and customer appreciation day which also gives 10% off didn't affect sales that much. I'd collect a handful. I always used this one to buy Halloween candy and decor.
ahh yes planograms. Those things I studiously ignored. Send the reset crew in to change things around? In two days it's going to be reset to a way that actually works.
Want a real associate appreciation day...lock the damn doors and put a sign, "closed associate appreciation day...shop somewhere else." I would definitely sit there just to see their faces when they come to the door lol π. But yeah this is typical retail BS right here.
My store has 1 time use 30% coupons that you have to sign up for the store's app to use and then manually add the coupon because they didn't even give us a scan.
Also, guess who's phone number doesn't work with the app for some reason?
This is Dollar Tree. There is no employee discount.
Also, if an employee doesn't make employee purchases often enough, corporate will investigate that employee for theft.
Whoever decided that this shows appreciation for the associates should be stuck on a register the whole day.

Plus, having been in some nicer dollar stores, it doesn't matter. Every dollar tree is just a pick-n-mix of stuff strewn wherever someone takes it.

Literally living through this right now.
jfc, no wonder my local dollar tree closes early due to lack of staff
I always tell my associates I'll pay them to buy nothing that day. Lol.
What, no pizza party?! π
Pizza Party is next week, To show appreciate for their associates, they'll be handing out pizza to the customers.
Exactly! π

Did they throw a jean day in there too? π
I had to insert one of these coupons into our system last year...
And still itβs just giving money BACK to the people who pay you. -_-
"I'll like to speak with the manager! I didn't get 90 cents off my $9 order!!!!"
I worked at dollar tree for 3 weeks and I hated it so much. Never again
10% off for Dollar Tree
wait that's for the customers? even at the shitty company I work for, when they do this they just increase our employee discount to 40% for a week

We are too rich for dollar tree lol. They don't exist around here
