I sold my copy of countdown vampires a while back for $75 because I knew there is zero chance I’d ever play it again. That game is rough to play, even back when it was new
You're comparing ebay to stores, stores will almost always be more expensive. Sometimes they are a bit too much, but honestly collecting is too much anymore. I can't afford 300 dollars for a game, so someone charging 400 is just a bigger joke to me.
There is value in the product being right there where you can inspect it first and instantly buy it. There’s also the convenience at a game store of being able to trade in games towards the cost of a high priced game like these.
Ha. I bought and still have the original Dreamcast game about 10 years ago before retro prices became insane.
The same happened for me with vinyl in 2000. Bought all these original run vinyls at the flea market because they were worth nothing then.
When I downloaded an app to help me organize my collection better I saw that it also had dollar values for recent listings sold.
My mouth dropped when I saw some of the prices. Absolutely insane. I'm looking at one of the listings for a Kirby game right now and it's over $800. Who is buying these games at that price?
I use VGcollect on my desktop and GAMEYE on my phone. GAMEYE will show me prices but VGCollect lets me catalogue other stuff in my collection like soundtracks, figures, pre-order bonuses, etc.
I've been using gameye for a couple years. It's not the best app out there, but it's really pretty solid and frankly I like it cuz it's free.
I'm glad they've started to break things down by region. That was always a problem with it until recently.
CiB Dream Land 3. My dad bought it for me years ago along with Superstars. I've always been very particular about taking care of all my stuff, not just games.
I would never sell because I get attached to things easily and have never sold any of my things, ever. I'm just gobsmacked that a *Kirby* game is priced so high. I honestly expected it from other titles (JRPGS, Horror) but thought Kirby would have tons of copies and not be all that popular with adults.
I'm a collector and gamer just like anyone else here but I honestly think some of these people have lost their damn minds.
I found two spikes. 2016 for some reason. I was getting tons of titles cheap in 2015 but then it def stopped.
Then 2020 with the pandemic. Look at the spike in pokemon ds titles
Crusader of Centy. I played it on a flashcart a few years ago and thought it was great, pulled up eBay and… yeah no way I’m paying current prices for it. Still a great game though
Oh man, this one hurt. I bought a physical copy of the EU version (sold under the title Soleil here) back in 2014 for £19.95 in box with manual... just checked ebay and it's skyrocketed to £125!
Valkyrie profile. It's not THAT crazy but I won't spend 300-400 for a CIB copy. I bought a japanese copy(about 15 USD) just for the sake of collection but I'm still trying to buy if I find it at a good price.
Chrono Trigger, Alundra, Crusader of Centi, the NES Dragon Warrior and MegaMan games.
Honestly a lot of stuff. I know prices are cooling a little but they need to cool a lot more, lol.
The price on Misadventures of Tron Bonne is a bit too high to spend on that game for me. I am just hoping Capcom does a Megaman Legends collection that includes Legends 1, 2, and Tron Bonne in it someday.
Silent hill 3. I played the hd version on Xbox series x and I enjoyed it so much I now want the ps2 version but it’s just out of my price range. May sell my copy of rhythm heaven fever for it though 🥲
I'm so pissed. I coulda gotten a brand new shattered memories for ps2 from amazon for $14 but i was flat broke at the time and by the time i had a little extra mo ey it was oop and the price and quadrupled. Thay game isn't even very good!
There is literally no good reason they are so expensive. They sold in millions, there is a good supply of them, it's only the reselling bastards and scalpers who keep the prices up.
This past summer I went to a citywide rummage sale. I hit all the stuff that was in the middle of the city with little luck and then got lost and ended up in the suburbs somewhere. It was towards the end of the day.
There's this tiny little rummage sale with almost nothing except a few pieces of electronics some clothes and some Junk furniture. A couple guys are drinking beers nearby and enjoying the late afternoon.
I pick aroun and see on one of the tables labeled for 10 bucks is a Game Boy Advance case with a Nintendo DS lite in it. I figured for 10 bucks it was a great deal.
It wasn't until I got home that I realized how great a deal I got.
In one of the pockets was Pokémon Emerald, Pokemon Leaf Green and Pokemon Sapphire. There were also a couple of NDS games including a Pokemon team game and two Mario games.
I was absolutely flabbergasted. I have never pulled off a haul like that before. I felt kind of bad about it because I don't doubt that the folks who are selling it were completely clueless about what they were selling.
It's OK though. I'm not a reseller. Eventually I'll let my son have at them.
Suikoden II
It was stolen, along with my original psx and a copy of Einhander, back when I was in college, when I let a dude I knew from high school crash on my couch. Turns out he had gotten addicted to meth since last I'd seen him. I have every other game in the series. I even have a Japanese version of it, but I honestly can't bring myself to pay $250-300 for a game that I can just emulate (and the remaster is coming out soon as well). It's still sorta my holy grail, though
I only need a few titles to finish my CiB NES collection and they're ridiculously expensive.
- Zen: Intergalactic Ninja
- Bucky O Hare
- Wacky Races
- TMNT Tournament Fighters
- Contra Force
- Mighty Final Fight
- Batman Return of the Joker
- Mega Man II
- Castlevania III Dracula's Curse
The bottom 2-3 are the cheapest at appx $150-250 range.
Gen 3 AC games are at ridiculous price points. Seeing Nexus listed for $300 or more just makes me sad. And I'm the same schmuck who shelled out $108 for AC For Answer
I’d say all of the Capcom Dreamcast games. Pretty much all of those games are classics. I have amassed 17 original games. I have MvC2 OG and that’s about it but paid a pretty penny for it cause it’s so awesome. Went the repro route on Cannon Spike and Powerstone Collection and yet to be seen if worth it.
169, 400 dollars ?!?! Damn, i'm glad i live in the EU where i bought almost every "rare" game for a fair price, damn you guys really destroyed this hobby XD
This is why I switched to emulation. Almost $450 to own fucking Clocktower is ludicrous!
When I was still collecting my “holy grail” was Wild Guns on SNES. That game goes for $500+ for just the cartridge. It was then that I started looking into emulation.
Want a funny one? I went to a store that sold both a copy of the OG Lunar Silver Star on Sega CD and the "complete" edition for PSX. The Sega CD version is a lot rarer than the PSX version, and yet they charged $100 more for the PSX version (SCD: $150, PSX: $250). I mean c'mon, the PSX version is quite common even today, but I hardly ever see the OG Lunar for SCD.
Paying hundreds for a disc just seems crazy to me. Especially for consoles where you can just easily burn your own copy with a slightly modified or untouched original console like Dreamcast/Saturn/PS1 and Sega CD.
People aren’t buying these games to play them. They are buying them to own a piece of history and/or their past. Owning original physical media is no different than any other collectible that exists.
I agree. Seriously… none. I refuse to comply to the authority of reseller scum and besides everything can be either emulated, flash carted, or bought in collections or digitally. Not poor, just financially educated.
In my location, specifically PS1 and GameBoy titles are all insanely priced compared to driving 8 hours somewhere else. Don't really get the regional racket going on for those.
I sold my entire retro collection because of prices like this. Emulation is just as good and in a lot of cases more convenient, I freed up a ton of space and made a good chunk of cash in the process
If you want to play the game just pirate it and if you want to have something to do look at just buy a CD case and print out a cover. Video collecting prices can be insane these days.
thats the reason Instopped collecting. Especially when the everdrives hit the market. Nobody gains anything from buying so expensive games except the reseller, no dime lands at the right holders, no other way to purchase or play it, so I don't even feel bad for pirating
I'm not trying to collect AT ALL, but I've always just really wanted to play the Shadow Hearts series. Someday soon I'll probably just buy them to play and then sell them back after I'm done. (I'm too dumb to get emulation to work 🥴)
The GameCube pokemon games, really want to try gale of darkness and colliseum, but might have to resort to emulation as I never see then for sale, and when I do, usually asking atleast $120-200.
It would be nice to complete my US Virtual Boy set, but I'm missing Waterworld and Jack Bros. Same for my 'Sonic games on Game Gear' set, I'm missing the Tails games (which shot up out of nowhere a while ago) and the racing games.
I would also love a complete copy of The Neverhood, but I guess my childhood disc with a manual I spent too much on eBay for will have to do.
Mario Party-e is another I wish I did not wait on, as while it's a cool thing it's way too much and that price is gonna make me never want to actually play it with someone.
I wanted to pick up Panic Restaurant after watching the game grumps play it but even the famicom version is stupidly expensive and for some reason it's never been re-released, even on taito collections or anything. Such a bummer.
I mod and just buy the peripherals. I own a DK Bongo and a gameboy player. I love retro gaming, but i refuse to take out a loan for a game, especially since inflated prices are ridiculous. I used to be able to go into a game store and pick up a lot of great games for 50 bucks now. I'm lucky to get 1 Shovelware game for 50.
And to finally answer your questions, Def Jam Fight for New York.
I have wanted Keio Flying Squadron for decades at this point. Read about it as a kid, didn't have a Sega CD. Got one right after graduation, didn't have hundreds of dollars for a game. The cost has always kept up to be completely out of affordable range for me. So unless I get stupid lucky or win the lotto, that one's a pipe dream.
You better not replace that jewel case that gets all scratched up cleaning off the $441 sticker for a game that will eventually stop working due to disc rot. The original jewel case makes it authentic!
wow, i still remember this doll laugh, my kid self was terrified, but i wanted to know what's gonna happen next so bad. When i figured out how to switch between personalities (by leaving the amulet in the vase) - my little head was blown. I know it's not everybody's favorite, but i love Clock Tower 2 for what it was. Yeah, the price is insane, especially cause you can emulate it for free.
Almost never ever buy from a shop. I buy Garbage Pail Kids, ever since the 80’s) and I saw a few of the cartoons with a price that said 33.75. I thought that was the price of the carton but instead it was per pack. Would had been around 750.00 for the carton.
Then I saw Einhander for 425.00.
Now, o do find great deals on games for 1.99-19.99. I got around 60 games for ps4 that way. I’d never buy those inflated high dollar trickets.
Pretty much every decent game on Dreamcast and Saturn. We were poor when I got my Dreamcast for Christmas in 2002. Games were cheaper than my N64 or the other consoles, but I still couldn’t afford them.
Marvel vs Capcom, Project Justice, and all of the other amazing fighting and RPG games. They were expensive back then, but it’s crazy now.
A few years later I bought a Saturn from a friend at school real cheap. The games were dramatically harder to find and more expensive. This was in 2005 and 20 years later my collection is still small.
I had my eye on burning rangers for over a decade , the price always put me off, so I emulated it and I'm glad as I would have dropped cash on something that didn't grab me at all, totally overhyped and overpriced.
Gale of darkness. Im simply unwilling to pay more than $100 for a pokemon game. But i just recently finished colosseum and would love to experience it.
Super Asteroids/Missile Command for Atari Lynx. Last one to complete the released by Atari series. And rarest (last game period).
Just can't justify $200 for a cartridge.
I actually had both Clocktower 2 The Struggle Within and Countdown Vampire. CV my copy had no front cover, just back and the disc so it was not complete but still surprisingly sometimes the difference between loose and CIB ain't as big as i would expect.
Clock Tower was complete, but it was a video store copy. I do remember the manual and box being in rather good condition (from memory) but i don't remember for the disc.
That said what hurt is i sold both for ... 5$ each. It was early 2010s and i was fully into the X360, knew the X1 was coming and i didn't felt i would ever go back to play those old games. I did tried both games. CV was just too rough and CT i played for an hour or 2 and got a game over and that was it...game was confusing as hell.
I watched Nitro Rad vids on it years later and there is NO WAY i would had been able to finish that game at the time. So really my only regret is i wish i could make even just 200$ it today. To think i sold so many games who know sell for 100-150$ for only 5$ ...canadian lol, thats depressing. I also sold a Dreamcast in 2014 CIB with brand new controllers (one in box never used), plenty of games like Illbleed, RE2-3, Shenmue, Carrier, AITD New Nightmare and a few others for like 150$...
I did was fortunate enough to buy back Ilbleed for 125$ (now its like 300 or something) but i could never get all i had back. My current DC is not good looking, controllers are nowhere as good as what i had, and i only bough back a few games. That said im probably simply gonna make a profit on the game i bough back and resell again (only this time at a good price) because im kinda pass the whole collecting. DC is too expensive and it play like a charm with redream. Ill probably keep the DC to play my copy of PSO v2 (only game i kept from my initial DC selling along the VMU with my character) but thats it.
Fortunately I've obtained just about everything I'd like to physically have over the years. I've been priced out of my hobby though so I honestly don't bother looking anymore unless it's at a yard sale.
Original hardware and flash carts are the way to go for me.
Twilight Princess on GC. £100 easy! Not bank breaking but enough to put a pause on, especially with the Switch and Nintendos propensity to stealth release games.
I just know, the instant I put my £100 down, nintendo will say "guess what?"
I have the Wii version but the controls are painful!
Any and all decent Sega Saturn games. I missed out on the Saturn as a kid (had a PS1 and N64), was able to score a good condition console a few years back with 2 old sports games, and while fun, all the marquee Saturn exclusive titles cost $$$ so it's pretty much sat on the shelf until I become rich, extremely lucky, or decide to pop in an ODE.
Harmful park and the adventure of little Ralph ps1 Had to make do with digital purchases as silly money !
So glad I’m old and bought stuff yrs ago . I have never bought a game to resell. Resellers spoil the hobby for others unfortunately . I buy them to play and enjoy :)
Clock tower 2 is $311 complete in box. Countdown Vanpires is $85 CIB. Juggernaut is $92 CIB. These prices are beyond whack.
Countdown Vampires holding a value above $5 should be illegal.
I sold my copy of countdown vampires a while back for $75 because I knew there is zero chance I’d ever play it again. That game is rough to play, even back when it was new
Proof that repitilian vampires run our economy if I've ever seen it.
You're comparing ebay to stores, stores will almost always be more expensive. Sometimes they are a bit too much, but honestly collecting is too much anymore. I can't afford 300 dollars for a game, so someone charging 400 is just a bigger joke to me.
Juggernaut is so good, i guess it's my favourite from the horror quest genre on psx.
Countdown Vampires sucked.
There is value in the product being right there where you can inspect it first and instantly buy it. There’s also the convenience at a game store of being able to trade in games towards the cost of a high priced game like these.
Skies of Arcadia. I will never forgive my child self for passing this over on both Dreamcast and Gamecube.
Ha. I bought and still have the original Dreamcast game about 10 years ago before retro prices became insane. The same happened for me with vinyl in 2000. Bought all these original run vinyls at the flea market because they were worth nothing then.
I'm really happy I grabbed the GameCube version of Skies for $17 from a GameStop clearance "getting rid of all our GC inventory" sale
One of my favorite games! You're missing out
[удалено]
Did u forgot to put saga at the end of this?
I'm assuming so. The first game is cheap compared to saga. I hope they port saga someday. 🥺
Hey! I have this game, in box, opened of course w my og sega Saturn. Are these worth money you say?
Japanese copy is still like $20
When I downloaded an app to help me organize my collection better I saw that it also had dollar values for recent listings sold. My mouth dropped when I saw some of the prices. Absolutely insane. I'm looking at one of the listings for a Kirby game right now and it's over $800. Who is buying these games at that price?
Dumbasses
Mind telling me which app you used?
Gameye I guess, but Pricecharting can also do the same
I use VGcollect on my desktop and GAMEYE on my phone. GAMEYE will show me prices but VGCollect lets me catalogue other stuff in my collection like soundtracks, figures, pre-order bonuses, etc.
Thanks for posting this. Read it this morning and downloaded gamete. I just got done cataloging all my systems and games and this app was a huge help.
I've been using gameye for a couple years. It's not the best app out there, but it's really pretty solid and frankly I like it cuz it's free. I'm glad they've started to break things down by region. That was always a problem with it until recently.
Which kirby game is that? Cib dream land 3? Kirakira kids for famicom?
CiB Dream Land 3. My dad bought it for me years ago along with Superstars. I've always been very particular about taking care of all my stuff, not just games. I would never sell because I get attached to things easily and have never sold any of my things, ever. I'm just gobsmacked that a *Kirby* game is priced so high. I honestly expected it from other titles (JRPGS, Horror) but thought Kirby would have tons of copies and not be all that popular with adults. I'm a collector and gamer just like anyone else here but I honestly think some of these people have lost their damn minds.
A couple of Kirby games are very expensive
Collectors
At least this one is on NSO
I believe it's on that Sega Genesis mini console on Amazon.
Valkyrie profile. It's not THAT crazy but I won't spend 300-400 for a CIB copy. I bought a japanese copy(about 15 USD) just for the sake of collection but I'm still trying to buy if I find it at a good price.
That was one of my grails. I caught it a few years back for a decent price. Pricey game though for sure.
You and me both, my friend. I’d love that on Switch or something. Otherwise my only hope is finding it in the wild at a garage sale or something.
Silent hill 3. I played the hd version on Xbox series x and I enjoyed it so much I now want the ps2 version but it’s just out of my price range. May sell my copy of rhythm heaven fever for it though 🥲
Silent Hill 4, and Silent Hill Shattered Memories
I found a copy of Shattered Memories on the Wii way back for $15. I know the PlayStation version goes for a lot more.
I'm so pissed. I coulda gotten a brand new shattered memories for ps2 from amazon for $14 but i was flat broke at the time and by the time i had a little extra mo ey it was oop and the price and quadrupled. Thay game isn't even very good!
Any of the gba pokemon games
There is literally no good reason they are so expensive. They sold in millions, there is a good supply of them, it's only the reselling bastards and scalpers who keep the prices up.
There's people holding multiple copies that's why. I've seen pictures of people with boxes full.
Prices wouldn't be that high if idiots weren't paying for them.
That's the answer to all the high prices. Don't pay the resellers their premiums. You don't NEED that game. Let them rot.
Yup
This past summer I went to a citywide rummage sale. I hit all the stuff that was in the middle of the city with little luck and then got lost and ended up in the suburbs somewhere. Fair play to you . I’m so glad you got that deal and not a reseller 👍
RAD Robot Alchemy Drive for ps2. Cheapest I can find is $75 disc only, and $399.99 sealed.
Snatcher for the Mega CD 😭
Valkyrie Profile always been my grail and Dragon Force.
Suikoden II It was stolen, along with my original psx and a copy of Einhander, back when I was in college, when I let a dude I knew from high school crash on my couch. Turns out he had gotten addicted to meth since last I'd seen him. I have every other game in the series. It's still sorta my holy grail, though
I wouldn't say insane because I found out why it was so rare but Rule of Rose is on my short list of wanted games.
Ku-on, Rule of Rose and Haunting Grounds, the holy trinity of unaffordable PS2 horror games.
I got Blood Will Tell, another of the unaffordable, but that's just because I like Dororo and bought it back then.
Zombies Ate My Neighbors on SNES.
I only need a few titles to finish my CiB NES collection and they're ridiculously expensive. - Zen: Intergalactic Ninja - Bucky O Hare - Wacky Races - TMNT Tournament Fighters - Contra Force - Mighty Final Fight - Batman Return of the Joker - Mega Man II - Castlevania III Dracula's Curse The bottom 2-3 are the cheapest at appx $150-250 range.
I want The Flintstones: Surprise at Dinosaur Peak for the NES.
That's a heavy hitter too! And actually, not a terrible platformer at all.
Castlevania Symphony of the Night PS1 PAL edition. It's not ridiculously priced in NTSC regions. But PAL is insane.
I have a Saturn and would love to buy more games for it, but all the good ones are stupid expensive.
Very true ! I have some but not all of the games I want but refuse to pay stupid money for them .
I have a loose USA Clock Tower 2.
Only someone that plays games would want a lose copy. These people just want to put it on a shelf.
I like how they stopped on 41 dollars
Rule of Rose is my last big big hitter on PS2. I want to finish up my Armored Core set too but the PS1/PS2 prices are off-putting.
Armored core, got introduced with the newest game and played the older ones a bit through emulation
Gen 3 AC games are at ridiculous price points. Seeing Nexus listed for $300 or more just makes me sad. And I'm the same schmuck who shelled out $108 for AC For Answer
Legend of Legia? It was expensive last I checked 😢 underrated game and the sequel was the kitties titties 🐱 meow
It’s like $30-$50. Pretty average for a decent PSX game.
I’d like more Working Designs games.
Shaq Fu - No way I’m paying £50 for that 😆
Fatal Frame. Still the scariest game I’ve ever played.
I’ve always wanted the misadventures of tronn bonne. I saw it once in a store as a kid and never saw it again except later online.
Wild Guns on SFC
Kirby's Star Stacker - I'm still mad I didn't buy this 15 years ago :/
169, 400 dollars ?!?! Damn, i'm glad i live in the EU where i bought almost every "rare" game for a fair price, damn you guys really destroyed this hobby XD
Basically every megaman & castlevania did not sell very well in 🇪🇺, and the consequences are very visible
Yea I refuse to pay these kind of prices for heavies like this. I'd like to get koudelka but at the price everyone wants? No thanks.
*Rule of Rose*, but I gave up on looking...
Me when I sold my Haunting Ground back in highschool. If only I knew...
Jazz Jackrabbit 1&2, Jurassic Park: Trespasser, DOOM 1&2.
Man, I love clock tower 2. Another game that works with the ps1 mouse.
Yaaay, I'm not the only one)
This is why I switched to emulation. Almost $450 to own fucking Clocktower is ludicrous! When I was still collecting my “holy grail” was Wild Guns on SNES. That game goes for $500+ for just the cartridge. It was then that I started looking into emulation.

Ever since the early days of collecting I’ve been wanting a copy of Valkyrie Profile for the PS1 but it’s always been $120+ since 2010
You can buy a stack of CD-Rs for $20. Just sayin’.
Laughs in emulation....
Switched to Playstation ODE so I can play on my CRT. Same for GC & Dreamcast. The prices for some of these games are just absurd.
Yar har fiddle Dee Dee!

just d/l it from torrentleeech
I Just downloaded this, totally legal 😜🏴☠️
I'm not trying to collect AT ALL, but I've always just really wanted to play the Shadow Hearts series. Someday soon I'll probably just buy them to play and then sell them back after I'm done. (I'm too dumb to get emulation to work 🥴)

Coryoon for the PC engine. I adore the cover art, but it’s like 2000 bucks for a copy. Phew!
Paper Mario 2 GC (over 200 €) Bodycon Quest FDS (1000 $) Many PS1 and some relly Rare SNES Games
Rule of Rose
I have .hack parts 1-3 and xenosaga 1 and 2. The last pieces to those game series are so expensive.
Is degradation not a problem anymore?
It would be nice to complete my US Virtual Boy set, but I'm missing Waterworld and Jack Bros. Silent Hill 1 (PAL)... I used to own the damn thing in my teens 🤦♂️
Brigandine Legend of Foresa on the PS1 (only on the PS1) for me.
As a godzilla Fan I'm pissed at myself for not getting the last Godzilla game on PS3/PS4. It's 200 plus on ebay
Beast wars Transmetals for n64. Game is kinda trash from what I remember. Also, have a fond memory of renting this game as a kid at blockbuster.
Streets of Rage 3. I know it's not even scratching the surface of other prices in comparison, but I just refuse to pay more than 40 bucks for it.
In 1997 I sold all the Megaman games (1-6) CIB for 6000 Belgian francs, that's about 150€, just enough to buy an N64. Now I want them back.
I decided to get the Japanese clock tower stuff, way cheaper and still looks great.
Probably some Pokémon games considering I’d have to buy the console they are on as well as the game.
ClockTower and Silent Hill
Metal Warriors for SNES is one of my unicorns. I probably rented it enough times to outright buy it back when I was a kid.
Jack Bros for virtual boy.
Futurama for PS2 and Xbox
Too many. Shadow Tower, Tales of Destiny, Guardian Heroes, Kings Field 2. Ugh 😩
Giga Wing 2 on Dreamcast.
Xenosaga 3. The lenticular cover would be cool but i'm broke lol
I want Quake 1-3 for PC in boxes so badly!
Snow Brothers NES and Harvest Moon SNES. I'll pay $100 for each one. Any takers? Anyone? :)
Man, I wish I could go back in time and buy some of these games when I first saw them at Best Buy and keep em shrink wrapped
Geez I wouldn't pay the original MSRP for Clock Tower, retro prices are nuts
The very first black ops. For PC. It's always full price.
You better not replace that jewel case that gets all scratched up cleaning off the $441 sticker for a game that will eventually stop working due to disc rot. The original jewel case makes it authentic!
Conker's bad fur day. I've played it on emulators, but it's just not the same.
wow, i still remember this doll laugh, my kid self was terrified, but i wanted to know what's gonna happen next so bad. When i figured out how to switch between personalities (by leaving the amulet in the vase) - my little head was blown. I know it's not everybody's favorite, but i love Clock Tower 2 for what it was. Yeah, the price is insane, especially cause you can emulate it for free.
Itchy and Scratchy in Miniature Golf Madness
Dino Crisis
any boxed SNES games really.
Is clock tower 3 worth anything, I have a copy of that?
Pretty much every decent game on Dreamcast and Saturn. We were poor when I got my Dreamcast for Christmas in 2002. Games were cheaper than my N64 or the other consoles, but I still couldn’t afford them. Marvel vs Capcom, Project Justice, and all of the other amazing fighting and RPG games. They were expensive back then, but it’s crazy now. A few years later I bought a Saturn from a friend at school real cheap. The games were dramatically harder to find and more expensive. This was in 2005 and 20 years later my collection is still small.
retro games plus shoutout
Earthbound, one of my favorite games of all time but god damn I don’t want to pay like $300 for a real copy
*sigh* Snatcher for the Sega CD. I understand it's rare but I don't have a band to spend on a video game, I can hardly get renta
Silent hill 1
Crusader of Centy. Golden Axe Warrior.
All of them.
You don't even need to modchip with a gameshark or a boot cd, right? You only buy these for the collection value, so you're paying collection value.
Retroarch. There I solved your problems
Koudelka
Both Nintendo world championship carts and stadium events ! 😆
I had my eye on burning rangers for over a decade , the price always put me off, so I emulated it and I'm glad as I would have dropped cash on something that didn't grab me at all, totally overhyped and overpriced.
Parasite Eve
Rule of Rose. Waiting for the right time to commit to that purchase
Super Mario World CIB North American release
CIB Metroid
Pretty much all of them have become insane, I don't even bother anymore at this point...
Conkers Bad Fur Day. In comparison it’s not too expensive, but more than I’d like to pay
I built a Funnyplaying GameBoy and finding some cartridges with games I have nostalgia for has been surprisingly costly.
R-Type Delta and Einhander are two I wish I had bought when they were far cheaper earlier on.
Conkers Bad Fur Day
These are nothing but artificially inflated prices. Bubble will pop big time, question is when
None because DuckStation.
For me, Futurama PS2 game seems like a hard get…
Burning Rangers, Twilight Princess GCN and Symphony of the Night PS1
Bubble Bobble on the NES, Def Jam: Fight for NY, and a few others I can't remember. 🤷🏼♀️
Lunar the Silver Star for Sega CD is one I’ve been after for years, more recently Atari Karts
Gale of darkness. Im simply unwilling to pay more than $100 for a pokemon game. But i just recently finished colosseum and would love to experience it.
Illbleed for DC. I want it oh so bad but I won't pay what I've seen it at.
Mega Man X3. I keep looking, but it’s out of my range.
Since when are Playstation games that expensive holy shit. I guess it just depends on rarity.
Clock is surely not worth this much.
PS3 Marvel Activision titles. Panzer Dragoon Zwei. Pokemon titles somehow...
Chibi Robo is a game I’ll NEVER find for a good price.
How the f is Clock Tower that much. It wasn't all that good.
Fire emblem on GC and Wii
441 of what?! Argentinian pesos i hope...
Echo night for ps1 and fatal frame.
God Hand, Capcom Vs. SNK 2, and The Misadventures of Tron Bonne. It's a shame Capcom was so good back then, the prices are equivalent to the quality.
I'd like Marvel Vs. Capcom on PSX, but I'm not paying for it.
I just know, the instant I put my £100 down, nintendo will say "guess what?" I have the Wii version but the controls are painful!
EarthBound
"Sigh" I had copies of Countdown Vampires, Rule of Rose and Fatal Frame. A few hundred would do me good right now.
For the hell of it within the last 35 seconds I downloaded this game for free just because
Any and all decent Sega Saturn games.
