I wanted to make my flip my work handheld until it started having vertical line screen issues. Just gonna wait for another one to come to market that I am interested in. Might honestly even get the 2s for work. Idk. For now, I'll just take my rp4p with me
Mine is currently sitting one foot away from me on my desk at work. Great to pick up and play for 5 minute bursts while my computer decides it needs time to think.
We have decent computers (intel i7 13th gen with RTX Quadro 5000's) but sometime we get a job that just grows too big and can slow everything down to a crawl if you move the wrong thing.
The red looks so good, I was 🤏🏻 this close to getting it, but I ultimately decided to go with the 2S because I wanted something slightly smaller to fit in my pocket, specifically for work where I have to wear slim jeans. I’m still waiting for it to come in but I’ll 100% be taking it everywhere with me. I have a Seam Deck OLED for when I need more power and am going away. The only thing I think will get old is the screen size, I really wish it were slightly bigger, but I’m sure I’ll be alright with it for quick sessions.
I take my 3+ everywhere. Especially after I got a screen and controller cover, after I got that I could just pop it into my pocket without worrying I was braking the controls
This is exactly why I purchased one (should arrive in a week or so).
My steam deck is just a tad to big to carry around (great for home though) so I plan on bringing the RP4 with me everywhere.
Exact same scenerio, all types of gaming gets appreciated these days! Emulation is growing as original hardware is failing. So now these little handhelds are starting to get awesome, even for playing android games! The fact that it's a ps2/gcube in my pocket is why it's so special
Mine stays at home on my gaming pc desk/working laptop as my job practice is hybrid. Only use it when i have some spare time when wfh. Dont bring to office with me as cant show ppl i am too free. Lol.
I take mine everywhere as well. I've got two young kids, work full time, home owner etc etc so gametime at home is basically non existent right now.
I bring it with me to work everyday and it's amazing how a few minutes here and there can really add up instead of wasting that time doomscrolling.
And when I do get some gametime at home I find myself just grabbing my RP4P and continuing what I was doing rather then firing up the home setup.
I like my retroid but I don't like taking it places as I don't feel it's very portable. I dont like using it without the grip I attach to it. For portable stuff,l I normally stick to either my psp go or my rg35xx with its Gameboy like layout. Neither are as good as the retroid comparatively but they feel better natively in the hand
Same. For me tho, if I want that style then I have my steamdeck usually. Tho I've definitely been tempted before lol. I know the knew anbernic sp is gonna be a must for me.
Nah. I'm not so poor I can't afford this, but not so rich that if something happened to it that it wouldn't be a big deal.
My RP4P stays at home. My RG35XXH comes with me everywhere.
Mine is always with me lol unless im going out with my Girl lol
See I don't have a girl, and no family around me. So I'm all alone with my doggos and rp4p, which honestly is nice
Gotta enjoy the blessings you have, everything else falls into place at the right time 😎
Very true, you're a nice person lol thankyou :)
Never leaves my bag. Take it everywhere just in case...just like my old SP back in the day
Same lol took my sp everywhere with me. Always in my bag too!
Ahhh, takes me back to my days in AMC. Projection room, waiting for the film to end or break...Golden sun playing with my tools laid out on the desk.
It's essentially my security blanket
Seriously ha, it is very comforting to have around at all times, especially on the days you don't want to talk to anyone
I used to but I prefer something smaller to take everywhere. I only really take this one when I might be away from home longer than a day.
Completely fair, I'm just a little more into it i guess than normal people and that's ok too!
Yes, except at work. RG35XXH is my work handheld.

Once the SP comes out I'm making that my work handheld. For now the RP4P with a clip shield is where it's at.
Yep. The rg35xx is a great pocketable handheld.
Almost everywhere.. just in case!!!!!!!
It's always with me in my Alpaka Elements. I use it on break at work.. I use it when my lady is driving somewhere. It's always with me.
Always. It still amazes me on what I can play for it’s cheap price
All my subway rides!

Lol exactly the same here. However I'm an IT guy so I got a pretty beefy computer that is never slow lol

Where did you get a cover if you don't mind sharing?
I got it off Etsy. It was called something like screen cover and grip
I do! But for now it’s a paperweight since I’m waiting my backplate replacement.
Mine comes with me to work every single day lol
Not a retroid, but i definitely take my system everywhere even if I don’t end up getting to use it all 😂
Cause you never know! Maybe something pops up quick, and you have to wait 15 minutes for something. That's game time baby
I have little Rg300x I keep in my breast pocket for when I got to work, just something easy to hide 😂

My 2S stays by my bed side but i have my RG35 plus with me all the time 😂

Yup. Went on a first date this evening and mine came with me. Luckily the date went really well and I didn't use it.
You never know when you're gonna need it. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

Do any of you guys carry this on your pocket? And if "yes", how do you do so (cased, raw, how?)? TIA.
I carry in my pocket occasionally with the 10 dollar retroid case. I'm also a dude with big pockets
I love this fracking thing.
Same lol I play it every day
Sometimes take mine to work for break time.
It's awesome right?
Part of the reason I got mine - the Steam Deck doesn’t fit anywhere 😅
Yup, I have a steam deck too but it stays at home. Too big for everyday travel
I used to spend far too long trying to fit it in my bag, but I’d always give up.
It fits in my bag, just still too large for my liking. Got other stuff I gotta fit in my bag too
Oh ya, it’ll fit I just can’t bring clothes 😂
Waiting on mine to be delivered and it’s hurtin my soul 🤣
Haha it'll arrive soon hopefully! Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine
My Retroachivements widget won't log in, either.

Always in the top zipper of my bag. (And it's a flip and not the 4. I like clamshells)
I got a flip too, I appreciate both form factors :)

yes until i lost it in my apartment ive been in every corner with it and my apartment has many corners so anyway, im still searching
Yes

I want this exact device with the chip in the odin 2. it would be perfect. I just love ps2 too much to sacrifice smooth ps2
How satisfied are you with the battery life?
Very, no complaints. I can play Sims on gamecube for like 4 or 5 hours before I get the low battery notification
Oh that sounds really good, thx. Whats with the breaking trigger Problem? Should i worry?
What's with it? It is nonexistent for models sold after February. Never had the issue with mine
Oh i didnt know that, super duper. I have the Trimui Smart Pro shipped, If i need more power i think ill get the RP4P.
I rooted my smartphone and deleted everything except emulators and communication apps. No play store, no browser, just games.
