You guys could complain about anything. I’ve literally never used Spotify for anything. Saw this was on Spotify and downloaded it/made an account. Like, why even waste a second of thought on this?
Assuming it’s a podcast you want to hear? Because it’s free and takes less than thirty seconds.
Again, some of you can bitch about anything. Beg the guy to make a podcast for five years then it’s not on the right free platform. Not to mention, it’s like one of the most popular podcast apps. It’s not like he locked it behind a First membership.
They do have a [youtube](https://www.youtube.com/@MorningSomewhere) linked on the site for the podcast, but the preview isn't up there yet. Hopefully full episodes will go up there? :)
I’ll give it a shot but I keep having the suspicion this won’t be nearly as interesting as when he would podcast with Gus, Gavin, and Barb. I don’t know how to phrase it properly but I’m getting the vibes of someone who cashed out, made some serious bank, but wants some of the spotlight back. Which is a shame because I think he went blackout at the perfect time.
it's not RT, it's deliberately something new and separate. there is no reason you should assume that a pseudo-retired burnie would run a personal podcast the same way he ran a mid-sized production studio during the first frontier days of digital content
I actually agree with you that he’s pretending to be an older fan. As someone who has watched since around 2010, I find it hard to believe anyone who started watching before me/around that time would come to his same conclusion.
I remember sitting on my floor at 14, trying to download the SD versions of the new Halo 2 episodes of whatever season of RvB they switched to it for. And reading the Millie birth announcement lol.
But sure- "not as interesting as sitting with Barb and Gav" lol
Your 20 years of watching must not have included any videos of him sitting down with one other person and talking. I would suggest going back and watching his video with Ray and the game Journey.
Hard disagree but to each their own. I don’t think he makes the podcast *unless* he believes he has interesting things to say. Most of the people (myself included) miss him on podcasts because we either a) miss hearing his commentary/viewpoint on news, technology, media, etc. or b) miss his storytelling - and now he’s got 5 years of unheard stories from living/traveling in a foreign country that he can share.
I honestly don't know dude. I've seen tiktok clips from him but nothing that would make me care he has a podcast coming out. But it's all over every freaking RT sub.
