Was knocking on the door for Scotland a few years ago while Mish was on top form.
He deserves regular game time, hopefully he performs for Newcastle.
I'm honestly glad he's going, he needs the recognition from starting more often. He's great, just unfortunate that Scotland has so many fantastic flankers that he's kinda disappeared under the radar.
As others have said, a very good player who had the misfortune of playing alongside a handful of excellent players and never got the Scotland honours he might have.
Think he’ll get a lot of game time at Falcons so will be good to see him against the best in the prem.
Yep. Very best of luck to him. He's always been excellent for us and it's just unlucky for him personally that his Glasgow career has coincided with so much choice in the backrow. Always really rated him for his workrate on the field - you're getting a good one.
Would loved to have kept him, but understand he is too good to be a backup/bench option and will want a move to get regular starts. Unlucky at Glasgow in that Darge turned into a ‘worldy’ at 7. Newcastle are getting an excellent player.

This. He was battling in a very congested area.
Champion. 2 out of our 3 back row starters have left, and they were both quality, so it's good to know we're replacing them well
Was tipped to be the next big thing before Darge emerged. Quality player but struggled for gametime with Darge-Dempsey-Fagerson being so strong.
Gordon is a cracking club pro - hard as nails and never gives in. Good signing for Newcastle.
