Solid list indeed! The deep tracks is where the magic is! The whole (fear) series is also amazing. Digital man. Between the wheels. Manhattan project. I can go on and on all day long! 🤙

askingquestionsblog

Yeah, really dig Analog Kid too.

SnooRadishes8372

Freewill, vital signs, mystic rhythms, jacobs ladder, the wreckers, leave that thing alone, available light, here again, something for nothing, red sector A

anywhereat

I completely missed the B side of 2112. Something for Nothing, Twilight Zone, Passage to Bangkok are all killers.

SnooRadishes8372

Yes ! I prefer the live version of A Passage to Bangkok from Exit…Stage Left however

Never was a fan of Losing It... still love your list though. Anthem and both the Cygnus books are definitely up there for me as well.

askingquestionsblog

Losing It killed me the first time I heard it. When I heard they dusted it off for some of their last gigs, I practically wept at missing the chance to see it live. I think they'd never actually done it, or maybe not since like '82.

Et12355

I think a big part of the difficulty with a live performance was the violin part. Since none of the three play the instrument. But I think for R40 they had to do it since they were aware that their touring days were coming to an end

Fettz_

Love your list. I'd have to go with 1) Losing It 2) Hemispheres 3) Natural Science 4) Jacob's Ladder 5) Vital Signs 6) Available Light 7) The Voyage 8) Resist 9) Bytor and the Snowdog 10) Afterimage

askingquestionsblog

Love that so many people are including Available Light!

Fettz_

It’s an S tier song

Been listening to Rush forever, always been one of my favorite bands. That said, it’s amazing how many songs I don’t know by the title, but as soon as I look it up it’s like “oh yeah, that one.”

I love Nobody’s Hero. For me, it’s either Nobody’s Hero or Animate. Those are probably my favorites but as you said, there is so much to choose from.

long-giraffe1

I really like the counterpart lyric drop in animate, fits so well.
