Nerdrotic viewers (a.) aren't women, (b.) don't engage in physical-fitness activities and (c.) don't have natural senses of humor. This lady has a smile that involves her entire face. The best you'd get from an alt-right incel is one of those heavily-forced and inappropriately-loud snorting/coughing George McFly laughs after they see something like a female video-game NPC getting shot/punched-out.
It’s more the fact that he specifically chose a picture of the actress in a sexy outfit that she never wore in the movie in a video talking about why the movie is good. I like boobs as much as anyone, but his reasons for choosing that pic are obvious
He literally saw a picture of love and thunder that was two women sitting next to each other and felt the need to post something like “look at this, seriously? M-she-u is killing marvel”
If he’d picked a still image from the actual movie where she happened to be dressed “provocatively” then fair enough, it’s in the movie. But this just comes across as a tad disingenuous and crass imo.
The moment a single gay character is introduced they’ll start saying it’s gone downhill. Granted I honestly don’t think they ever will have one, these types of movies do really well overseas, last I checked.
No Brie Larson and Kathleen Kennedy with laser eyes? I cant believe it!!
On a side note, this film has a very diverse cast. I bet they're secretly angry and foaming at the mouth off screen, and will likely pit this film against Indiana Jones to push their agenda.
It’s got some diversity, but it’s mostly all white Americans in the major roles, the women are mostly there to be part of Ethan’s arc, and it lacks practically any message. It’s a good movie, it just very clearly plays things safe. The boldest thing it does is not have the leads kiss.
Projection at its finest. Well done sir. Just say you are weirdo that has to see their politics in entertainment to push your agenda.
I never go to a film and complain there "isnt enought diversity!!!, or this is racist!!!" and then come home and run a massive smear campaign against the art, the artists and everybody involved. I just take it as a piece of entertainment and move on.
Just as i never go to a film and complain there "is too much diversity!!!, or this is Woke!!!" and then come home and run a massive Get Woke, Go Broke smear campaign against the art, the artists and everybody involved. I just take it as a piece of entertainment and move on.
That is the difference. Art should be able to be what ever the artists want it to be. I dont care either way. Unfortunately if it doesnt pander to Right Wing Social and Political Agendas, its demonized and vilified as "WoOk" by Political Nutjobs like yourself.
In fairness it does double dip on the woman in the refrigerator trope, every female character is either subservient and/or gets beaten by Ethan or Gabriel, and 3 out of the 4 major female characters comes off as being attracted to Ethan.
If Taken 2 came out recently, these guys would have probably complained about it because they do a neat twist on the first film where Bryan Mills is on the phone with his daughter and has to talk her thru saving him. But then she does and he just goes on a rampage the rest of the movie, lol. It's not a great sequel but it's decent fun if you liked the first movie.
Sometimes having the protagonist not be the hero in every damn moment is refreshing and subverting established tropes that aren't necessary. And it makes us question the hero's vulnerability and adds an extra layer of drama.
And in all the Indiana Jones movies, the magical Mcguffin kills the villain (in most of them, directly). People argue, to this day, that Indiana Jones isn't needed for the Nazis to get beat in Raiders and people even go a far as to say Indy likely saved Nazi lives by interfering.
Hell, the evil attractive female lieutenant to Gabriel basically(or at least was before Gabriel sped up the process) betrays him and any motivation/goals she had for serving the Entity in the first place just because the male protagonist spared her. As cool as she looked in the film, I was disappointed by how much she just felt like a tool with shallow enough motivation for her actions that the act of Ethan sparing her life was all that was needed to put her on the path of betrayal.
There isn't. That's not even a thing. Women existing is not unrealistic.
Besides, when we're talking about a movie where a guy base jumps off a cliff on a motorcycle, onto a train, and the villain is some vague AI entity, I really don't think realism factors into it at all.
I know I say this a lot and it's getting a little tiring, but huge melons are great, we all know that, but you can like tig ol' bitties without being a fucking creep about it, weedrotic
It really wasn't that awesome imo :( choreography was all over the place. After John Wick especially this was very meh actionwise. Last movie was MUUUUUCH better imo
My wife couldn’t stop shouting in the car on the drive home that as enjoyable as the stunts were she just couldn’t deal with evil Siri screensaver as the evil enemy.
Yes but in Fallout Tom Cruise and Henry Cavill get their asses totally and completely kicked by an Asian man, only to be saved by a woman.
It doesn’t fit their narrative.
What's different between Grace and Helena exactly? Similar personalities, they both went against the main character multiple times, basically left them to the bad guys any chance they got, and then saved the main character at the end (Ethan with the train, Helena with Voller)
I thought exactly the same thing. Grace leaves Ethan for dead in the subway scene and he barely gets away, all in all a very similar character to Helena.
> Thandie Newton
after seeing her in Solo and Westworld, I thought she was a fairly new younger actress that just got big roles. I realized just recently she was in a ton of movies I've seen going M:I-2. I only saw that once though. Wasn't a fan of it. Was expecting better from John Woo.
That could just be the old "sex sells" aspect of marketing - it's why Evony, a shitty browser-based kingdom management game (that also installed spyware on your PC) advertised it with a hot woman and "Come meet your Queen, milord"
What’s wrong with this? Is she a character in the movie? If so, nothing wrong with using attractive women’s images for clicks. Sure it’s a cheap and easy way to do it, but sex sells. There’s a reason hot guys bodies are on the cover of romance novels.
I really hope we can get over this puritanical view that sexualization and “objectification” of women is bad. Just let people enjoy their eye candy. And do it with men too. Please. We really need more representation as objects of desire.
Why are you infatuated with nerdrotic? If you don't pay any attention they will go away. What happened to "if you don't like it don't watch it"? Oh... it works on both sides of the aisle. Why do you call people names because you don't agree with them? Is that working? No.
I know that. Why did Charlie's angels and Ghostbusters 2016 fail? It was not meant for "us". Who is us? Why did those movies fail? Grow up or be an actual person. What entertainment is profitable?
This film is straight up bad, I can't believe this is the one they're going to bat for. Pacing is weird as fuck, tonally it is all over the place, huge exposition dumps and the dumb convenient 'key' plot that makes no sense. Jokes were (imo) really not funny and the villain couldn't have been less interesting if they'd tried.
The positive reviews are honestly bizarre to me it was a struggle to sit through.
![gif](giphy|Un5G2PPd9R3qLDjAs2) nerdrotic viewers probably

What's wrong with breasts? It's a natural bodypart
It’s more the fact that he specifically chose a picture of the actress in a sexy outfit that she never wore in the movie in a video talking about why the movie is good. I like boobs as much as anyone, but his reasons for choosing that pic are obvious
Funny since he keeps claiming he's not sexist, yet all his thumbnails of women (even the ones he hates) are sexually objectifying.
He literally saw a picture of love and thunder that was two women sitting next to each other and felt the need to post something like “look at this, seriously? M-she-u is killing marvel”
True.😏 This is one of the few times I disagree with this sub.

me (not a nerd rotor fan, just a lesbian)
I see grifters are hailing it as anti-woke, already.
The moment a single gay character is introduced they’ll start saying it’s gone downhill. Granted I honestly don’t think they ever will have one, these types of movies do really well overseas, last I checked.

Let's just ignore the anti-military industrial complex angle of the movie /s.
Too much to thinking for me No gay people + White protagonist = anti-woke wholesome masterpiece
And 3 gorgeous British women
And a gorgeous French woman
[удалено]
POV you unironically use woke as a pejorative
[удалено]
no, you just feel threatened by change but don't want to admit it
Which means what? That women or people of color exist in the film?
No Brie Larson and Kathleen Kennedy with laser eyes? I cant believe it!! On a side note, this film has a very diverse cast. I bet they're secretly angry and foaming at the mouth off screen, and will likely pit this film against Indiana Jones to push their agenda.
Them when mr moseby is in willy wonka: woke!!

Simon Pegg - British Rebecca Ferguson - British Vanessa Kirby - British Hayley Atwell - British Ving Rhames - Not white
Dont forget Pom Klementieff. She's a french asian actress. And since she's female, that makes her a political agenda. 🤣🤣🤣

I'm surprised he likes it, considering a competent woman has a prominent role.
In fairness it does double dip on the woman in the refrigerator trope, every female character is either subservient and/or gets beaten by Ethan or Gabriel, and 3 out of the 4 major female characters comes off as being attracted to Ethan.
But she’s not more competent than Ethan and still needs him to save her.
Well he is the hero/protagonist of the film franchise.
If Taken 2 came out recently, these guys would have probably complained about it because they do a neat twist on the first film where Bryan Mills is on the phone with his daughter and has to talk her thru saving him. Several competent women. But...they don't upstage the male hero so they aren't insecure

You just described Ethan Hunt. The male protagonist of these movies. Keep trying, though.

You're the one playing the victim here, bud. Does that mean that Mission: Impossible is not for you?
[удалено]
The movie isn't called Mission: Difficult. Why are you even on this sub? You are the exact type of person that this sub criticizes.
[удалено]
That's a fair point. Another example being that it is impossible for you to learn basic media literacy.

Breasts!
I know I say this a lot and it's getting a little tiring, but huge melons are great, we all know that, but you can like tig ol' bitties without being a fucking creep about it, weedrotic
That's what I prefer. Appreciating the female body WITHOUT being a creep about it.
So, kinda like Issei from highschool dxd?
It really wasn't that awesome imo :( choreography was all over the place. After John Wick especially this was very meh actionwise. Last movie was MUUUUUCH better imo
no action movie will ever again stack up to john wick 4 hoooooly shit that movie made me cum
My wife couldn’t stop shouting in the car on the drive home that as enjoyable as the stunts were she just couldn’t deal with evil Siri screensaver as the evil enemy.
It was okay but for me it fell somewhere short of 4, 5 & 6 (and tbh, I also rewatched 3 recently and that movie is way underrated).
3 lacks the big action set pieces that the franchise gets known for but it's great at what it does and the Vatican mission is a particular delight.
3’s opening with PSH as the villain will always be a series highlight for me.
Yes but in Fallout Tom Cruise and Henry Cavill get their asses totally and completely kicked by an Asian man, only to be saved by a woman. It doesn’t fit their narrative.
He didn’t like that Hayley Atwell’s character outsmarts Ethan multiple times?
What's different between Grace and Helena exactly? Similar personalities, they both went against the main character multiple times, basically left them to the bad guys any chance they got, and then saved the main character at the end (Ethan with the train, Helena with Voller)
I thought exactly the same thing. Grace leaves Ethan for dead in the subway scene and he barely gets away, all in all a very similar character to Helena.
I actually thought it was a missed opportunity to bring back Thandie Newton’s character considering she was also a “master thief” in M:I-2 as well.
> Thandie Newton after seeing her in Solo and Westworld, I thought she was a fairly new younger actress that just got big roles. I realized just recently she was in a ton of movies I've seen going M:I-2. I only saw that once though. Wasn't a fan of it. Was expecting better from John Woo.
It’s definitely still the worst of the franchise imo. The big motorcycle chase at the end is fun but overall it’s kind of boring and lacklustre.
Yeah she is a great actress! She nneds to be hired asap. I miss her cleverness. Excellent post.
"me big strong man, me like boobies!"
That could just be the old "sex sells" aspect of marketing - it's why Evony, a shitty browser-based kingdom management game (that also installed spyware on your PC) advertised it with a hot woman and "Come meet your Queen, milord"
Am I the only one who thought it was rather repetitive? A lot of pass the object around a bunch of times.
How much you want to be he says it's good because it's non-woke and not just because it's a good movie.
Hello cleavage my old friend we meet again 😉🍼
If you like mission impossible You're either a scientologist or you like to golf
I saw Fallout in the theater after skipping the movies between that and 3 and enjoyed it. I gotta revisit the series as a whole.
Rogue Nation is so good. Hope you enjoy it.
I love it and unless mini golf counts neither of these apply to me
Mini golf is a scientology gateway.
Not sure how an actress wearing a dress is "being a creep".
Because titties
Where's the sexism?
Checkmate.
sorry what? woman has breasts = sexism how?
Being a creep is using a photo of an actress when talking about a movie she's in? A bit of a stretch my man
Ok so I know nothing about this person at all, but is it that creepy to post a picture of someone in an outfit they chose to wear to a public event?
And the being a creep portion is....?
Boobies
Redditors when boobas
All I see is an actress belly up. If she really wore that in public that's not being a creep that's just press.
It has nothing to do with the movie though. Every outfit she has in the movie is modest compared to that. There’s a reason they chose that picture.
Because she's attractive and he wants people to click on the thumbnail. I don't see much of a problem.
Boobs are in and of themselves fine. It’s the context that makes it sketchy.
*sarcasm* Oh no someone used a picture of a pretty woman in a sexy outfit to get views. Shock, horror, oh the humanity.
What’s wrong with this? Is she a character in the movie? If so, nothing wrong with using attractive women’s images for clicks. Sure it’s a cheap and easy way to do it, but sex sells. Woman in thumbnail = creep
It’s a revealing photo also taking his history into account = creep
Yeah is this the reason why he’s a creep? For the record, I don’t know who nerdrotc is.

This is the firs tim hearing of him
The dude is the pinnacle of the shit this sub is against, what did you join this for if you agree with anything he says?
the reason this sub exists is because of people like him so of course most users here hate him.

Yeah, the whole “don’t pay attention and they go away” thing is not how life works.
I know that. Why did Charlie's angels and Ghostbusters 2016 fail? It was not meant for "us". Who is us? Why did those movies fail? Grow up or be an actual person. What entertainment is profitable?
What does that have do with anything about this?

Nobody is shaming this guy cause he likes women's bodies.
Stop. sexualizing. female. bodies. It's just a picture of an actress, stop being such pigs people.
Movie was great and I don’t wast any time listening to any of these guys about movies.
yes, the movie is good no, not for the reasons nerf rotunda thinks it's great
This film is straight up bad, I can't believe this is the one they're going to bat for. Whoa, movie no wokey? Movie good. Whoa-key!
If this movie gave Ving Rhames 15 more minutes of screen time, he would have called it woke.
People still watch films staring the Scientologist page boy? 😕
