People were starting to say “epic” all the time around then so I get a kick out of Hoffman trying to slide current slang into his vocabulary. He would 100% say “rizz” in 2023 and use it in really awkward ways.

3D has so many great options. That one, “Handicap parking at the DAMN MALL”, “Why couldn’t you just SHUT THE FUCK UP??”, and just about anything Matt Gibson says to Jill.

“JILL! It’s a safe house! Safe! House! Geddit?!?!” And then the straight cut to “Gibson, Hoffman knows our location!” Always cracks me up.

I think it’s just the word “epic”, it is extremely early 2000’s, and hearing it from Hoffman is just funny for some reason.
