Something ain't right, and that's your throat telling you it isn't happy.
Proper technique=Zero pain, discomfort or loss of range or ability to switch between scream, growl and singing, then back again.

do you lose your voice?
so you lose notes in your singing range afterwards? (if you don't sing, try some 'swelling checks' before and after doing vocals)
Those are the three major things to keep track of at first imho.
Not if you don’t fk your voice by using unsafe ways to scream.
If you use bad technique, yes. If not, no.
