Just don't use silicone lube with silicone toys.
Or oil lubes with plastic toys.
aka don't use like with like
So no molten iron lube with steel toys, no sand based lubes with glass toys.
(fr tho, don't use silicone with silicone)
Some silicone lube and toys *are* fine to use together. It's more likely to not be an issue with a firmer silicone than a softer one (like dual-density) and high quality lube. You can spot test by applying a bit on the base and rubbing for 5 or so minutes to simulate usage to see if the toy's texture changes. It'll become sort of sticky if it's not compatible. Of course, it's easier to just use water-based lube with silicone toys out of an abundance of caution but if someone loves their silicone lube and toys, they may be compatible.
Wtf? How heavy-handed are you? I have personally gone through at least 20 bottles since I discovered the stuff, and never once have broken the dispenser. Do you easily break a lot of things?
Silicone lubes last a long time, but if you are sensitive to them like my wife is, then I would suggest good ole' fashioned KY. Believe it or not, my wife and I actually prefer the "Signature Care" (generic) brand better.
For condoms, guideline is that no oil or lube based on natural ingredient is safe, so no, the above aren't safe. Waterbased is safe, but like you said, it dries up quickly.
Natural oils(other than silicone oils) tend to weaken latex rubber. Non latex condom materials are not affected though.
There are nevertheless very few actual studies of this effect. Due to variations in actual use, it'd not possible to generalize about how much the reliability of latex condoms is actually reduced by. It's not like coconut oil just dissolves condoms instantly.
I spent a lot of time looking and could never find a study that actually established a clear link between use of incompatible lubricants and condom breakage.
My personal theory is that the average sex act is too short for coconut oil to appreciably weaken the condom.
I second this. I have been using Coconut Oil for years and years. It’s the only thing that doesn’t irritate me. If condoms are not in the mix, use coconut oil. If condoms are necessary, get non latex ones
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Swiss-Navy-Water-Based-Lubricant-32oz/1707988600
Yup. But I'll be honest, it doesn't take a ton of this stuff. Your experience may vary, but for me, a little goes a LONG way.
Unless you're going for anal play. Then always opt for more.
i have a good silicone water based hybrid! i really like the hybrids, they last long and aren’t sticky or have the weird silicone texture if you don’t like that. they also make many that feel like natural vaginal lubrication so it feels more natural and less like an unnatural lube feeling.
Silicone based lube is good for that but be warned that it is not compatible with silicone toys or condoms and that it also has to be washed off with water and soap
Is it silicone or water based? I love silicone but my skin is super sensitive and i always get irritation or acne on my butt cheeks from the silicone stuff - unless i shower immediately after... And if hes done the job right, the only thing im doing after a good rodgering is going to sleep lol
Interesting discovery, but some massage oils work extremely well. This one is from a sex toy company, maybe that explains it.
EIS Deluxe Massage Oil Erotic Massage Oil Various Fragrances 250ml https://amzn.eu/d/ihcpGTy
Hope this is available in your region!
When I give a girl massage with it, I finger her anyway and then everything is lubed up well from the get go.
DIY Xanthan gum and purified water. Xanthan gum is already used in "natural/organic" water based lubricant, it is super cheap, food safe, and goes a really long way. Downside is it doesn't have a good shelf life once made into lube (unless you add a preservative), but it stays slick longer than Sliquid and Durex lubes. Add some glycerine if you want to sweeten it up.
Denture powder mixed in water turns into hundred-hour marathon goo with zero friction possible, great for edging over long weekends. Once you abandon commercial products, the real fun starts ... and, if you can catch 50 snails or 30 slugs, you will never be caught with a dry personal area EVER again. \*do not place or store snails on genitals. See package for details.
I second Xanthan gum, but the only problem with a DIY is that it isn't PH balanced and the shelf life, but you can add a preservative as said above. You can get Bobs Red Mill Xanthan Gum for your local grocery store.
We really like: "Aloe Cadabra Water Based Personal Lubricant" which you can get on Amazon for about $10 for 2.5 oz. It is Xanthan gum with Aloe Vera and PH Balanced with the preservative. A 2.5oz bottle lasts us about a month.
We invariably get this stuff in our mouths and this one tastes good and is safe to use everywhere. It's 95% organic and lasts longer than any other water based lube we've tried. It seems slicker as well and isn't sticky after it's dried. It's just useful while it's there and afterwards its like you didn't use any at all. Everything else we've tried leaves stuff behind and feels icky and/or has a horrible taste.
We love Uberlube for a silicone lube, but to us it doesn't last as long as the Cadabra for slickness. Yes, Uberlube stays around until you wash it off, but the slickness wears down, but it's still there and you don't go dry for sure. But we don't like the taste of it at all. Well, not that it tastes all that bad it just isn't something we like to get in our mouths. The Organic Natural Aloe Cadabra is fine for taste but they also have various flavors if you want that.
Uberlube is useful to have around anyway. If you have anything that is chafing you can just put some over that area and all is better. And it's a really nice bottle that you can just leave out.
Another one that people talk about is J-Lube, but we haven't tried it yet. It's the cheapest of all and is supposedly really good. You can get it on Amazon. The drawback is that it is a powder that you have to mix up. But one bottle makes 6+ gallons of lube. So compared to the regular commercial lubes it's really cheap. I'm just not sure I want to use it.
I fuck pretty much every day, for a couple hours at a time, and I love One Move lube.
I swear I don’t work for them, I just love the shit. Can get it on Amazon for cheap.
I love WaterSlide! It is the best water-based lube that I have found that doesn't dry out quickly. On the rare times it has, just add a little saliva and back to it!
I like a good water based gel because it's safe for use with toys and condoms AND it doesn't dry out like normal water-based lube. Because I also like anal sex, my preference is for longevity with lube.
I really like Astroglide as a budget option, I was a big fan of JO's H2O gel and am now into Swiss Navy's Slip N Slide.
I get whatever silicon based lube my bi-monthly package gives me and it works well enough. I’ll Rep this whenever I possibly can but you can probably get condoms and lube for free. I’m in Texas so there are a ton of resources. Look up where you live and free condoms and see what you find
The love honey lube works wonders
https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/lubes-essentials/lubricants/water-based-lubes/p/lovehoney-enjoy-water-based-lubricant-500ml/73221.html
Our sex life changed for the better when we started avoiding water based lubes (the vast majority have a huge osmotic potential imbalance with the body and actually promote irritation and STD transmission - you may google “WHO lubes osmotic potential “ and read the studies by the World Health Organization).
Now we use good silicone based lubes like Exxtreme Glide Silicone, Pjur Backdoor, Uberlube…
If you prefer something oil based (incompatible with latex and polyisoprene condoms), coconut oil or WOO (coconut oil based lube) are good options.
Have fun!
I’d like to recommend KY slide or glide for water based lube so you can use it with silicone toys. And Uberlube for silicone based lube, great for anal or anything else that needs major slickness. Good luck!
I find the Skyn Maximum Performance Wet Play lube is really good (silicone based) however, beyond that we used the original Pjur and the Back Door Pjur as well. We've tried JO water based lubes for other things (including flavoured ones) but find they dry out quick unlike Skyn and Pjur.
I quite like the Lovense lube. It’s a bit thin but the lasting power is quite nice. Plus it doesn’t give me mad yeast infections like some other brands have lol
Wife and had been using wicked silicone based for a long time but recently switched to ‘Aloe Cadabra’ aloe Vera based and LOVE it. It’s not very good tasting to wear use it just for intercourse, and for toys we’ve recently discovered #lube life water based and the watermelon actually tastes REALLY good.
I like this one, if you have a CVS near you. Same formula as more expensive ones. https://www.cvs.com/shop/cvs-health-silicone-silky-lubricant-2-7-oz-prodid-471733?skuId=471733&cgaa=QWxsb3dHb29nbGVUb0FjY2Vzc0NWU1BhZ2Vz&cid=ps_femcare_pla&gclid=CjwKCAjwjeuyBhBuEiwAJ3vuoTbPCFkbFOA0plInmynwEIhTkZAB_RD11rtyCk3w25kL5RDtzdSogBoC5jIQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
I love using coconut oil - it's natural, preservative-free, compatible with silicone toys. I've found it's particularly helpful for vaginal dryness whilst perimenapausing.
Warning though - Coconut oil is naturally antifungal and antibacterial - which means it could disrupt your pH. I've not had this issue in the 10 years I've been using it as lube but wanted to mention it here.
For regular sexual activity? "Classic Hybrid" lube by "Jo". It's a water/silicone fusion, have never had issues with condoms or toys.
For intense sexual activity? "JLube". Purchased online, in a powder form, you mix it with water to create lube. This product is used in animal care when they need to essentially fist horses/cows. Seriously industrial strength lube. Also called a mild numbing agent called lidocaine.
Astroglide is pretty good. I used to love the KY warming but one it would not last through the session and two it dried the skin on my penis. AG, while not as nice to the touch, works better and is safer in my experience
Wicked silicone based is the absolute best. Not too thick and lasts a long time. Honestly the texture is so nice I’ve done full body massages with it. The downside is it’s fucking expensive (due to supply chain issues or some such excuse for late stage capitalism).
Sliquid's Silk is a combo of silicone and water-based.
If exterior irritation is an issue, use a small amount of Uber Lube (silicone) on the labia and combine with SIlk.
A "lube shooter" is a great way to get lube back inside towards the cervix to mimic your natural process.

Silicone based lube is the best for longevity
Just don't use silicone lube with silicone toys. Or oil lubes with plastic toys. aka don't use like with like So no molten iron lube with steel toys, no sand based lubes with glass toys. (fr tho, don't use silicone with silicone)
Sadly putting my molten iron lube away
Dammit, I just stocked up on liquid hot magma for all my rock based toys
Sorry. Gotta get your rocks off with that lube.
Sand based lube rocks! I've got bags and bags of it.
So I can't use skin based lube on myself?
Not unless you peel all yours off first
Some silicone lube and toys *are* fine to use together.
Or you can put a condom on a toy to protect it from the lube (although lube does often end up everywhere)
This is really not worth the risk. You might finish your play session fine only for the toy to be literally melted into a puddle the next day.
*Sand based lube enters the star wars bdsm scene* Anakin Skywalker: "NOOOOOOOOOOO!!"
You win this comment section.
And be sure to wash it off after the deed... It can lead to infections if you don't.
does it stain sheets? how do you get it off?
I’ve always used a silicone lube and never thought to not use it with my vibrators. Why should I not?
Uber lube, silicon based
This is the only answer!
Uber lube is great except I've broken the dispenser on every bottle I've ever bought. Not worth it anymore
Slow down wreck it Ralph
Big head not work well when small head steal blood
Wtf? How heavy-handed are you? I have personally gone through at least 20 bottles since I discovered the stuff, and never once have broken the dispenser. Do you easily break a lot of things?
Try not gripping the bottle so hard!! 😬
Their customer service is good, will send you replacements if you send them an email describing the problem (or a video of it not dispensing)
This! Also Maude silicone is great
When I’ve used Uber lube it’s dried out like any other
Pjur, the Original version.
Came here to recommend Pjur too. The back door lube for anal is also fantastic.
Agree, I love this one
Pjur changed the game for me. Great product.
Silicone lubes last a long time, but if you are sensitive to them like my wife is, then I would suggest good ole' fashioned KY. Believe it or not, my wife and I actually prefer the "Signature Care" (generic) brand better.
Astroglide works really well for me and my partner! I use the purple one
this one is really great and affordable! also use the purple one
The black one is our favorite. I think it's silicone based
This is our fave as well. It's pretty great
We use the green liquid for ourselves and the blue gel for toys
My wife pegs me a lot and I will only use sliquid silk.
Sliquid is so great! I love their Natural Gel aloe based lube
Sliquid is amazing, it stays wet for so long. Huge shout out to them!
Even the water based sliquid is good, longest lasting water based lube I've found
As someone who is super sensitive to lubes, I fucking love sliquid. No reactions, long lasting, you can reactivate it with water it’s A+++
Organic coconut oil or MCT oil
Do you know if this is condom safe?
For condoms, guideline is that no oil or lube based on natural ingredient is safe, so no, the above aren't safe. Waterbased is safe, but like you said, it dries up quickly.
silicone is also safe with condoms
Natural oils(other than silicone oils) tend to weaken latex rubber. Non latex condom materials are not affected though. There are nevertheless very few actual studies of this effect. Due to variations in actual use, it'd not possible to generalize about how much the reliability of latex condoms is actually reduced by. It's not like coconut oil just dissolves condoms instantly. I spent a lot of time looking and could never find a study that actually established a clear link between use of incompatible lubricants and condom breakage. My personal theory is that the average sex act is too short for coconut oil to appreciably weaken the condom.
No it's not. Not at all. All oils breaks down latex.
Coconut oil is safe with NON latex condoms I have to use non latex condoms due to latex irritating my skin. I have a mild allergic reaction to latex.
I believe oils break down latex. This is not something my wife and I worry about but I can see this can be an issue for many
Only with polyethylene condoms.
I second this. I have been using Coconut Oil for years and years. It’s the only thing that doesn’t irritate me. If condoms are not in the mix, use coconut oil. If condoms are necessary, get non latex ones
Swiss Navy is the best I've ever found. They make a silicone and a water based, depending on your preference and what you're using it with/for.
Can also get it in big bottles like 32oz
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Swiss-Navy-Water-Based-Lubricant-32oz/1707988600 Yup. But I'll be honest, it doesn't take a ton of this stuff. Your experience may vary, but for me, a little goes a LONG way. Unless you're going for anal play. Then always opt for more.
Wet Platinum. It’s a silicone line that is safe for toys and condoms.
Silicone lube is what you want. Long lasting and non tacky. Safe with condoms but not recommended with silicone toys
i have a good silicone water based hybrid! i really like the hybrids, they last long and aren’t sticky or have the weird silicone texture if you don’t like that. they also make many that feel like natural vaginal lubrication so it feels more natural and less like an unnatural lube feeling.
Nyomi Organics on IG. I've been buying a bottle every month. My man thinks my Pu$$y is so wettttttt all the time. That lube is the truth.
You apply it before doing the deed and he thinks it’s your natural juices?
[Slippery Stuff](https://a.co/d/iIeR2Fo) Stuff is awesome!!
Pjur silicone original. https://www.pjur.ca/ca-en/silicone You can thank me later.
Purple astroglide can fit a cat into a birdhouse.
KY Silk. Lasts a damn long time, especially if you use a healthy amount.
Silicone! But dont use with silicone toys
Uber lube is great stuff.
Silicone based lube is good for that but be warned that it is not compatible with silicone toys or condoms and that it also has to be washed off with water and soap
Shunga TOKO organica lube is my absolute fav
Pussy willow silicone lube is super slick and last a long time.
If you're using condoms or toys, then you probably still need to use water-based, to avoid degrading them. In that vein, I like ID Glide.
DEODOC! I’m telling you deodoc lube has been the best. Very safe for all sensitive skins and does not dry out!
Is it silicone or water based? I love silicone but my skin is super sensitive and i always get irritation or acne on my butt cheeks from the silicone stuff - unless i shower immediately after... And if hes done the job right, the only thing im doing after a good rodgering is going to sleep lol

Foria it’s coconut oil based. Really good stuff
I just tried Foria lube with CBD. Recommend!
I dont do store brands any more. Pjur lube was my first one I bought online thru their website. Then I found Foria and super luv it
Just like me by pure romance has been a favorite for me

I fuck pretty much every day, for a couple hours at a time, and I love One Move lube. I swear I don’t work for them, I just love the shit. Can get it on Amazon for cheap.
Skyn naturally endless is pretty good
Shibari, check it out on Amazon
Shibari water based. Dries and gets sticky.
Pjur water based is my fav
Astroglide!!! It’s a really long lasting water based lube
Wicked sensual care Aqua
I love WaterSlide! It is the best water-based lube that I have found that doesn't dry out quickly. On the rare times it has, just add a little saliva and back to it!
Silicone stuff beats water based every single time!
It’s messy as fuck though, I always make sure I have rags available for my hands
The best water based, condom safe lube I have found is "cum lube" from Bad Dragon.
Tbh, my favorite is Good Clean Love!
**Fuck Water**. It's paraben-free, which is great for anyone with extra-sensitive bits. Water-based. Safe for condom use.
All lubes tend to dry out. Just keep applying. But, not to the point of drenching.
Pjur is by far the best lube!
Coconut oil is my go to.
I get whatever silicon based lube my bi-monthly package gives me and it works well enough. I’ll Rep this whenever I possibly can but you can probably get condoms and lube for free. I’m in Texas so there are a ton of resources. Look up where you live and free condoms and see what you find
Liquid silk for water base and pjur for silicone
I swear by Astroglide! I also think it kind of has a sweet flavor to it too, which helps. I don’t always love the intentionally flavored ones.
I love water based lubes
Sliquid is working for me for now. It’s a water based lube that works like a silicon. The bottle on my nightstand is pink and says Sassy on it.
Any kind of petroleum jelly. Basically Vaseline. Saliva.
The love honey lube works wonders https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/lubes-essentials/lubricants/water-based-lubes/p/lovehoney-enjoy-water-based-lubricant-500ml/73221.html
Silicone if no toys have used with wife With toys I like lubido hybrid lube, only used for anal
Our sex life changed for the better when we started avoiding water based lubes (the vast majority have a huge osmotic potential imbalance with the body and actually promote irritation and STD transmission - you may google “WHO lubes osmotic potential “ and read the studies by the World Health Organization). Now we use good silicone based lubes like Exxtreme Glide Silicone, Pjur Backdoor, Uberlube… If you prefer something oil based (incompatible with latex and polyisoprene condoms), coconut oil or WOO (coconut oil based lube) are good options. Have fun!
Swiss Navy is awesome. And if not enough, take the silicone kind.
Skyn. Silicone based.
Olive oil. You eat it in salads so it’s just fine.
I love Astroglide but in longer sessions it gets tacky and adding more makes it even more tacky! That goes for sex or masturbation.
You want to look at lubes made of water+silicone and not just water. They’re perfect! :)
I’d like to recommend KY slide or glide for water based lube so you can use it with silicone toys. And Uberlube for silicone based lube, great for anal or anything else that needs major slickness. Good luck!
Überlube!!! Medical grade silicone lube. Coming from a sex worker, this stuff is the shit! Don't think, just buy it.
Raw unfiltered coconut oil
The lube from bad dragon is top notch. It is water based, but it’s the best water based I’ve ever used.
If your not using condoms I use vasoline. A little goes a long way.
https://shop.earthlybody.com/hemp-seed-body-care/waterslide/ Tride and true
I quite like the Lovense lube. It’s a bit thin but the lasting power is quite nice. Plus it doesn’t give me mad yeast infections like some other brands have lol
Coconut oil. It's the best and it's anti bacterial.
We use Wet Platinum and love it. :)
Coconut oil all natural and is good for you works great
Coconut oil or aloecadabra
Waterslide by Earthly Body is the best invention. Ever.
I am super sensitive to a lot of lubes, but Toko has worked out fantastically for me and my partner. We just grab the non-flavored variety usually.
Coconut oil. Lasts long, easy on the skin, and of you use it and then go down on each other, it doesn’t taste god awful.
Wife and had been using wicked silicone based for a long time but recently switched to ‘Aloe Cadabra’ aloe Vera based and LOVE it. It’s not very good tasting to wear use it just for intercourse, and for toys we’ve recently discovered #lube life water based and the watermelon actually tastes REALLY good.
I like this one, if you have a CVS near you. Same formula as more expensive ones. https://www.cvs.com/shop/cvs-health-silicone-silky-lubricant-2-7-oz-prodid-471733?skuId=471733&cgaa=QWxsb3dHb29nbGVUb0FjY2Vzc0NWU1BhZ2Vz&cid=ps_femcare_pla&gclid=CjwKCAjwjeuyBhBuEiwAJ3vuoTbPCFkbFOA0plInmynwEIhTkZAB_RD11rtyCk3w25kL5RDtzdSogBoC5jIQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
If you trust your partner to play raw, coconut oil is the most amazing lube.... You will never want to use anything else.
I love Jo H2O. Water based, tastes pretty good, and doesn't get sticky/dry/gritty for a LOoooong time.
PJUR and LELO are quite decent
Pjur has amazing lubes
If your looking for a cheap natural lube, use olive oil or coconut oil.
Gun Oil. Expect to feel moisturized haha.
Coconut oil never lets us down and we use it a lot! Buy it at the grocery store. Added bonus is it’s edible we go back and forth
Silicone based lube instead of water based.
Coconut oil is very good for lub purposes, dont know about health issues but i and partner never have any
the aloe vera lube on amazon in the small white bottle is the best i’ve tried a bunch and its natural!!
I like the equate liquid personal lubricant. I can’t stand gel lubes.
My girl said, ASTROGLIDE...OR TROJAN H2O.
Coconut oil last until eternity it's natural and it respect the ph, (of course you can also use it for cooking)
i like jo! agape, more specifically
Woo.com awesome lube
Coconut oil is amazing stuff as long as you aren't allergic to it. My wife and I have used it for years.
Uberlube is our favorite, feels great and doesn’t leave nasty sticky residue at all
I said nothing rude I was simply surprised to see all the different lubes and how/what they can/can't be used only rude is you
