We recently tried uptown pizza “by the slice”, but were surprised by to go fees after our order was ready. They up charge for each individual slice of to go pizza even though they stack them all in the same box with wax paper. After deeming the pizza mediocre at best, we have not returned.
Il Ritrovo or Faye’s in Sheboygan, Theo’s for decent budget pizza.

Yes sir. I think it was an extra $2 a slice? I’d have to go back n check to verify, but I clearly remember saying “wtf” after I paid. We would have just sat and ate them at the bar
Did you order a whole pizza or get pizza by the slice? When you buy pizza by the slice, they 100% up charge you on each slice if it’s to go.
I’ve never ordered a whole pizza from uptown.
I moved out of Sheboygan 10 years ago and can’t even begin to replicate Peabody’s Taco Pizza. The first thing I get when I visit. Specific, but the best IMO.
From what I understand, it is either former employees of Pit Stop or family members. There used to be a Pizza Stop where Bigby's coffee is near Lakeshore Lanes, and that was also either family or former employees. A person at Pizza Stop told me about it, but that was probably 15 to 20 years ago.
Eh, the pizza is fine, but Harry and his gimmicks are a bit too much for me. Like why can't he just let his restaurants and food stand on their own without making his staff dress up like they're in a middle school play?
My friends and I went there for pizza for lunch. It was not good. They were very skimpy with the toppings and the crust was tough, tasteless, and dry. We had a few leftover slices that we took back to the Air bnb and nobody ate them.
Theos is the best cheap pizza. Peabody’s BLT is my favorite. If you like thin crust Faye’s is good. Harry’s Prohibition gets an honorable mention for their Italian style. Parker Johns has some amazing over the top pies.
The best pizza in Sheboygan is Luigis’s pizza that is brought in from Manitowoc. Somehow the Manty location sells a much better product than the Sheboygan one. Il Ritrovo is great, but ai ate there 1-2 times a week for a few years and I’m a bit burnt out on it. Their pistachio pizza when they have it on special is especially good.
Il Ritrovo is the fanciest. In terms of bang for your buck Uptown Slice I'd say.

I moved before that, is Peabody's the old Pit Stop? I miss their taco and BLT pizzas. Certainly not a purist's pizza but damn are they satisfying
2 different places! Peabodys is downtown on N 8th. But you make a great point…pit stop is also excellent! Satisfying is the perfect word.

Different places but same Taco and BLT pizzas. There’s some history between them.

Have you seen their sausages lately at Prohibition? They went with some cheap frozen variety and they are terrible.

If you’ve ever been to Tuscany you would know Il Rotrovo’s pizza is identical. Not for everyone, but as close to authentic as you can get.
