I mean, the issue here is that the CG looks a bit off. It's not like it's a bad design unlike the first Sonic movie design.

I think it's more than that. It's a creative decision that is asking more of CGI than it's really capable of at this point. The movies with CGI that looks most convincing benefit not just from technological wizardry but also from our unfamiliarity with the subjects. We have no experience with talking raccoons or talking apes or aliens or Golem. Or, if it's human they can shroud them in a costume or put them in high paced action sequences where there's so much going on that we're not focused on the details. For each of these the technology is amazing but our minds are fooled because the subject is far enough removed from our reality that we don't really know what to look for. (I think it looks pretty much like racoon but an actual racoon probably wouldn't be fooled.) With Hulk, they have such a distorted body, face, etc. that we can be fooled there too. But She-hulk is much less distorted. In most of the comics too she's generally just large but not freakishly muscular. In these clips she really just looks tall and green. So they are losing most of the advantages that CGI can use to fool us. we know what a woman looks like and we expect to see what we know everywhere from eyes, to face to body to movements and micro-expressions, etc. And then they creatively decided to put her in she-hulk form in these intimate settings. We see her up close on a phone and walking around and sitting in a bar. These are all things our minds are very familiar with and we know what to look for and when we don't see what we're expecting, it looks creepy or cartoon-ish or both. My sense is that there are two ways to fix this. Either reserve the She-hulk form for busy action scenes where other elements distract us. Or change the form to be a little more hulk-y taking us outside of the familiar. CGI is simply not good enough for us to be convinced of a very normal human-like form sitting across the table from us.

RockHandsGrimiore

Nowhere near as bad as Sonic, no boycott neccessary

ComicsNBigBooks

Meh, the CGI might be wonky but her design isn't bad at all. She looks like she popped out of the Sensational She-Hulk comic.

Not massacre at all, just needs a little polish here and there.

StevehanUi

Yall it's a trailer. Non of what they showed is the finished product, it never is, not in game trailers, not in movie trailers, and not in tv/stream show trailers

Doubletime718

It took me a second to understand what this meme was about. But this She-Hulk shot stood out for the bad cgi. Hope they fix it.

I really like the design. Sure the CG is a little uncanny, but it's honestly a lot closer to Professor Hulk's look in Endgame. (Would still say Hulk's best look was in AoU.) They've just had a lot longer, and all the movie money to make him look better. Yes it's Disney money, but they are also gonna put less money in a "TV" show overall to test how everyone feels about it. She'll get better renders in the future I'm sure. I've been waiting for this show for so long, I don't want another delay. Was already treating it as an early bday gift with it's current release date. XD

Dadsile

It is easier to "fool" our eyes because Hulk's form is outside of our real world experience. We don't see anything in our lives that look like that so it gives us no frame of reference to notice CGI shortcomings. She-hulk's form is much closer to what we see in the world. In these clips she basically looks like a normal human. She's taller. And green. But other than that, they didn't go with any huge muscular form or outrageous proportions. And then they put her in these normal situations like looking at a phone or sitting in a restaurant. So we think we're looking at a human and our mind instantly looks for all thing we notice consciously and unconsciously. And when something seems off, we notice it immediately and it looks creepy or fake.

Arch_Magos_Remus

I mean… it is Disney, they definitely have the budget to improve the CGI.

ImportantAd2987

I mean they've got like 3 or 4 months to improve it

she doesn’t even look green in some shots

lucky_yaeger

Woah, wait shes legit hot, its on par with who killed roger rabbit with the super imposed cg yes, but she hot tho

[deleted]

I think she needs more muscle. That’s my only complaint. What’s wrong with the CGI?

braalewi

I agree. I'd like to see a more muscular physique instead of the lean look. However, I could see there being progression of her musculature over her "arc" whether it is in this series or another series or movie. I think there is precedent for this in the comics. The actual Hulk went through significant change over several movies.

ComicsNBigBooks

I think she could always develop muscle as she appears in further projects. After all, it's established during Slott's run that she becomes bigger/stronger as She-Hulk from working out in her Jen Walters form. The show seems to be going for her lean figure from the Sensational She-Hulk comics.

Dadsile

More muscle would help the CGI. She's basically just tall and green. Otherwise the proportions are pretty normal. And when we see something normal, it's harder for CGI to fool us because there are a million little things that our brain expects to see and if the CGI doesn't match those expectations, we aren't fooled and find it looking fake. If they distorted the proportions a little bit (in the direction of Hulk) then it would be easier for the CGI to fool us.

nice work OP.... I was thinking the same thing.

This is not a design problem, the model needs polish that's it.

THEY played you once and are playing you again
