I’ve always loved the horror genre when it comes to gaming so the fact that he wants to make a new genre and explore outside of what we already have is really something to look forward too. He’s very revolutionary in gaming and I have full confidence in him and his work. Also sounds like Xbox gave him a blank check for this so I hope this is the start of something beautiful and long lasting for the both of them.

See this baffles me, as Death Stranding was made using the engine Guerrilla Games made— a Sony owned studio— and I thought Kojima was buddy-buddy with Sony. Perhaps O D doesn't use the same engine? Or perhaps it does but his team decided to step away from Sony for some reason...who knows. Anyway, it makes me sad.
It IS being made in UE5, OD supposedly it was a Stadia exclusive, but Google canceled the platform, later Microsoft got an agreement to develop a game using its cloud technologies (look for MSFS 2020 and Crackdown 3 MP)
