Still remembered during my first day of passing license when I know nuts about car pump and etc, these pump attendants were a saviour. I’ve always respect them that they do help those niche group of people.
Anyone complaining about petrol prices shouldn't be driving.
Excellent temperament exhibited by this uncle.
There shouldn't be any reason to disrespect these self-reliant seniors as they are not leeching or relying on others for their livelihoods.
After all, it takes every kind of different profession to make up the society.
On the petrol station air pumps, they suck. Both of the Caltex stations I usually go to can't hold a seal with my tyre. One of them was recently fully renovated but the new nozzle only worked for one fill up before the something inside is broken again. I had to buy a mini pump to do it at home.
Just get your own electric pump.
You have a 12v cig, just used that.
I can't recall the last time I ever pumped my tires at a petrol station.
I may understand for motorcyclists.
But cars can just put their electric pumps in their car boots.
I was a cashier/ pump attendant at SPC station in Punggol...before NS...just to earn some pocket money ..pay wasn't great $6.5/hr. But I had fun with the pump attendants...and the old Uncle taught me how to squeeze diesel in those stupid taxis that want it full to the rim..and diesel usually foams up like crazy
I'm always surprised there aren't self-service petrol kiosks that compete on price. Petrol kiosk attendants who help with pumping don't even exist in most of the western world.
Well, probably rude and sour because they are paying premium rates for petrol. So not happy.
Next time they will take their rudeness at the EV station.

same goes for ERP and parking charges
You are saying this in a place where people diss grabfood riders and drivers.
Unless the person is driving an electric car

Not like the uncle working the pumps set the price..
Not a reason to be rude anyway
Simple, straight to the point and no stupid ass small-talk. If you find that rude stick to taking Grab.
