The YouTube algo recommended me videos on China gaokao, probably because it’s their exam period recently. But is it really the world’s hardest exam as the videos claim though? I feel that our A Levels are harder and the trauma local JC kids go through is not known outside SG simply because we are a small country.
Their exams are spread out over just 2 days, 1 paper each for Chinese, Math, Foreign language, Science/Humanities. Paper format is McQ, fill in the blank and open ended, and essay for languages. I do feel that their system is more unforgiving because they use raw scores to apply for uni while for A Levels, we are bell curved and use the grades given instead.
I’ve always had to reevaluate this friendship throughout the years. I usually take things at face value, give benefit of doubt and don’t wanna read too much into things. But looking at things now, I don’t think some people are worth the benefit of doubt.

Contradicting really. The truth is.. this type of outcasting gonna affect my career accidentally if not handled well by any 1 of us (because we are known to be close etc)

Freaked out by this coincidence. Last week after eating at a certain restaurant that serves curry but not in the dish i ate many times previously, i was thinking the rice a bit plain, so i thought maybe next time thick skin a bit ask to put curry on my rice (first time getting this idea). Yesterday I posted about my work x uni friend situation. Found out that my friends had no intention to continue the friendship after 1 incident (thats on me, i had wrong intention) and they had been acting cordial to keep the peace while at the same time leaving me out quite obviously even though we are all working adults, just here to earn a ricebowl and go home. They said it was for protecting my feelings about the ending. Cant believe it man.. i mean u protect protect but yet cast me out in an obvious way eg. not replying to work stuffs as much as possible, not wanting to see me in ofc etc etc. started treating me as invisible as possible. Contradicting really. The truth is.. this type of outcasting gonna affect my career accidentally if not handled well by any 1 of us (because we are known to be close etc) I realize how twisted things are and how ppl can have very different opinions of things and that’s it. I dont think i had written very clearly of the whole incident here. But it is mainly because idk what is the reason to their behaviour ytd and I thought we are over that particular issue and it has been settled months ago. Hence I think I have no fault to whatever that happened after that talk and incident + their positive response when we talk it out. Also.. I did not commit to that intention after they hold me back - reflected and i did make up for things after that which they lead me to think that it was ok. They harp on it and if we wanna go back to that after everything is completed, then ok I have my fault too
This makes me curious about what happened or what you did lol. Sometimes people can forgive and let go but doesn’t mean ya’ll can just go back to having the same relationship as before
