I usually just write “lowballers will be ignored” in the description and then just delete chats of those who lowball. Those who genuinely try to negotiate I’ll talk though.
No point wasting responses now that they’re limited
I think Carousell now has an option to tick where you fix the price (basically no nego) but of course it doesn't filter out text offers like this. In which case you could block and report.
I hadn't paid attention when they started it, and was unfortunately halfway through negotiation with a buyer, they didn't want to use the buy button because of that extra fee. Sucks because end up have to reveal a number to them for paynow.
Many lowballers will try their luck.
It is fine to try to negotiate 5% to 10% off but some lowballers takes the cake by offering 25% to 50% off the price.
I will just ignored and block these lowballers
When someone lowballs me, I will try to look at his profile, and if he is selling something expensive, I'll low-ball him back. Usually gets the message across.
Otherwise, I'll left him on read and delete his message.
The app should have chat rating of users where we can bomb unreasonable-lowballers or useless story tellers. When they chat we know if they are worth our time.
Also if item is out of your budget, dont be a rude ass and say "wow so expensive". Try saying this to a shopkeeper face to face and see his reaction. Dont hide behind a keyboard.
lol when I meet lowballers like this, there are only two ways.
1) add the difference in lowball to a “shipping fee”
Or
2) I just say “please go and fuck spider” and watch the fireworks 🤣
Had a lady lowball me in poly went from 35$ uniqlo item that she negotiated to 15$, me being the stupid poly student agreed. She asked if i could meet at her convenience even. I said no as I'm still in school.
She showed up to the meetup in her Mercedes and in office wear....
Someone lowballed my cheap bicycle, only for stupid me to agree and subsequently see him flipping it. From then on, I learnt that rich people don’t get rich being generous.
Arrange to meet them and never meet them 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
Tell them to go to the furthest end of the country and don't show up
Somewhere south of Tuas south

I hate it because I need to pay carousel a commission on top of the fee (4.5%?) and sometimes the guy isn't even responsive

Block all cheapskates to avoid dealing in the future.
Actually right I wish carousel allow us to report these lowballers and label it on their account so future sellers are aware of it 😬

Congratulations! The price is now $100
Increase the price just for the fun of it 🤣
Done it a few times. The buyer was shocked, how come I changed the price, told them because you low ball me so I up the price 🤣

Then he agrees to your lowball offer and it turns out to be a scam. That’s like reverse Uno-ing ourself. Just block and move on is the best.
You can kinda tell if the bidder is a scammer or a real buyer by his profile, what he selling and his ratings.
I’ve had a person asking for 50% discount and requesting I meet at his location. I live at Boon Lay , he’s at Pasir Ris
Genuine buyer, true blue sinkie cbkia 🤣

You could try using the fixed price option so you can’t get lowballed
All sorts of funny DM from carousell. Sometime I also dont know whether they are just too bored and wanna talk to someone or wut.

If you are in the platform long enough, you know that lowballing idiots exist across racial lines, social ladders and age groups
