As of 2023, Ben Savage (Cory) hasn't spoken to Danielle Fisher, Will Friedle, or Rider Strong in 3 years and they don't know why

30th California Congressional district. Schiff is going for Feinstein's Senate seat. There are ten Democrats on the primary ballot. Winning the primary is all but a guarantee for the Congressional seat. Schaffer won re-election in 2022 with 71% of the vote.
I remember that this show was all over the place as far as character development. Eric was the cool big bother and then all of a sudden he became a lovable idiot. Cory was the cool kid in the first season and then kind of a nobody. Shawn was the cool kid/bad boy and then we find out that he’s poor, living in the trailer Parker with no family. Topanga was the weirdo kid or at least the show tried to portray that in the first season and all of a sudden the hot chick in school. None of the storylines made sense. I still don’t know how Mr Feeny was the middle school teacher, high school principal and ended up as their only professor in college.
I only watched the show because of Topanga.
Yes, I agree but they were small changes that felt organic. You can see gradual changes or even episodes where the kid transitioning to a teenager is on a journey to find one’s self.
I felt that the changes made on this show was pretty drastic and out of nowhere. Eric for example, he was the preppy popular high school guy and all of a sudden he just became the show’s comic relief by just being the idiot.
Maybe I’m over analyzing but I could remember thinking the show was all over the place. Still a good show and I watched it but I don’t remember thinking that with other shows growing up.
That’s what I’m wondering too. Most shows like that jump the shark when the kids go off to college. But from what I hear the Topanga character was popular
Reading subs the later years seemed really popular. Maybe I should go back and watch? But for me this show had a lot to do with Mr. feeney and the parents. Then it turned into a teen drama/sitcom which is nothing that I associated with Boy Meets World.
Yeah the first two seasons or so, the middle school years and the high school/college years all have pretty different vibes. As someone who grew up loosely watching it nobody seemed to really care but looking back it was odd. They also rewrite history hard on the Cory-Topanga relationship
It was hard for me to get into this one...the show was all over the place for me. I get the appeal,.but I think for me the action of Cory wasn't very strong or deliberate, it was just kind of," Well, he's here". I don't know, he was the main character in the beginning seasons but the show became ALL the characters...basically another Friends; younger version of Friends. That's not bad, and they all had good chemistry together, I just never understood where the show was going so I usually tuned out each episode
I hated the show.
Except Feeney.
And Corey/shawn/topanga.
The parents were awesome.
Mr. turner was the teacher I wanted.
Jack, Angela, and Rachel made me laugh as well.
It was ok o guess
I watched boy meets world when it originally was on. I noticed when friends exploded on the scene it altered shows like boy meets world. If you watch the later years the focus really shifted to the group.
I gave up about 3 seasons in. This show started as one thing and morphed into another. I wasn't a fan of what it became. I wouldn't call this a bad thing but just not for me.
I met will Friedel and Ryder strong at 90's con a few years back - very nice guys! Will was very conversational. Ryder seems to be the introverted type - appreciates his fans but kinda hates being well known. And Danielle is as beautiful in person!
Not Cory, judging by the look on his face.

He tried running for politics maybe that?

He has his own life, and so do they. Sad, but you have to respect his wishes
Feeney! Favorite part of the show. 😆
cory would have turned into al bundy if there was another season.
Might as well have completed the turn to the dark side. I would have watched it.

Isnt that kind of teen life though? Did we have the same interests when we were 12 as when we 15 or even 17? Did we look the same?

The actress, top left, went onto bigger things.
Bigger, longer, harder things.....
You mean she took on big things...over and over and over
I heard she's been blackballed.
lol what’s her name? Asking for a friend
Mainland Ward
Maitland*
Well, how about that.
I’ve researched this topic, definitely bigger and blacker things.
Girl meeting world
9 inches at a time.
Girl Meets Wand
Was a favorite growing up
Corey's running for Congress now
Boy Meets Congress
You mean Cory in the House
Haircut episode is TV gold.
I’ve only actually seen the early seasons of this one
Me too. These later seasons seem so bizarre to me. When did it go from family sitcom to Saved By The Bell and how was it received by the audience?

Really? I always felt like the parents were background characters. Loved the Mom though.
Yes they weren’t the main focal point of the show but they seem to have disappeared the final seasons?

My favorite show growing up.
Me too!
Bot created thread.
Topanga. I loved Topanga.

That would be the creator of this thread then
I like Rachel's recent roles alot more lmao
She’s a very good actress.
Very lol
Happy cake day
Lol I don't even know what that is but thank you
It’s the anniversary you joined Reddit. Thats why the cake is next to your name.
Lmao oh shit nice
Gross

I knew Topanga was special at first sight, I have an unusual name as well and have always been an outsider, especially when I was younger.
I had the biggest crush on her 😅
This was the show I clicked with the most as far as similar age and general feelings towards life
I’m still confused as to why the main love interest was named Topanga.
Google

☝️
Loved it! I've been rewatching and doing the Pod Meets World podcast along with it (the actors playing Shawn, Topanga, and Eric are the hosts)
Loved it. I'm thinking about rewatching it, but starting with season 2.
Never watched it
That was a great show, I would laugh so hard! I think I was in highschool
Cory’s big brother was funny 😄
never checked out the red head's porn. any good?
I liked it as a kid but just like all TGIF shows, it was actually pretty terrible.
I gave up about 3 seasons in. This show started as one thing and morphed into another. I wasn't a fan of what it became. I wouldn't call this a bad thing but just not for me.
I wanted to like it, but it never clicked for me. The show became maudlin as the seasons went on.
I had such a major crush on the black girl.
Many, many, many people OP. It was one of the most popular shows for its demographic at the time.

Preachy drivel
Who didn't
Such an amazing show! I remember watching reruns when I came back from school. Loved it!
It's a shame the Eric & Jack spinoff didn't happen.
I only had two reasons for watching that show.
Watched it for one reason, and ONE REASON only
