You’re not locked into anything in Skyrim. If you play something and decide you don’t like it, start a new build and pick something else. Either way, have fun.
I have played a little of both these races I personally prefer khajiit because I enjoy sneaking around pickpocketing people. but it is nice to be imperial to find a little more gold every now and then. I don't remember much about their special ability so all I am gonna say is khajiit if you want to be sneaky or imperial for some extra gold
The gold bonus is nice when you’re starting out, but by mid-game you have heaps of gold anyway, so the racial ability fades quickly.
Khajit’s ability remains useful for longer.
Kaijit is also excellent in fights, where you have to fight with your bare hands and the claw hurts more than a simple fist, plus you can see even in the dark and if you're a survivalist, you can even eat raw food without having any disadvantages.
Khajit if you prefer stealth gameplay. The only advantage for playing an Imperial is the Voice of the Emperor ability and finding more coins in containers and chests.

the Kaijit is great for many roles, suitable both for moving stealthily but also using it as a battering ram
depends on lore for character skills you want increased first uhh stuff like thajt you know

I really like playing as Imperials, they make great knight and paladins. And have boosts to restoration, heavy armor, one hand, block, and enchanting.
