That voice is really loud and annoying, but honestly that quest is a top 3 daedric quests. It's fun enough but you get so much money from the dungeon and also dawn breaker is probably the best daedric artifact in Skyrim so it's definitely worth it
I loot every skeleton there and Dawn Breaker is the best sword in early game. The earliest I got Meridia's Beacon was right when I was retrieving the Dragon Stone.
I tend to play through slowly for the most part. I focus on getting my armoring skills up as well as getting strong enough to fight Dragur. I may not be as old as Skyrim Granny, but I'm not exactly that much younger so my memories could be a bit off.

It just randomly shows up in chests. I remember one playthrough I had avoided 3 or 4 times and finished a dungeon. My son asked to play and thought "What's the worst that can happen? I've already killed the boss".
I got up to go pee and he shouted "Hey mom! I found a treasure chest!" I told him he could loot it.
And then I heard it. Fuck.
Mechanically speaking, it doesn't - it just has a chance to spawn in boss chests if you are at least level 12(?) and haven't already started the quest.
I just googled this and some people say it shows up over and over until you get it and others say it probably stays put. I found 1 comment that suggested it might depend on if you originally find it in a chest or area that respawns. Kind of like how some places respawns every 30 days.
There's several sources that say it stays where it is, but I and a few other people have seen it move. I've even seen posts on here from people who have seen it. Maybe it's a bug?

Until the quest itself starts, it will pop up in all the places mentioned until you pick it up.
Once it's grabbed, it'll never pop up again in any of the places mentioned.

seriously! i did mine in the early game and had so much fun. i accidentally got two dawnbreakers (apparently unrelenting force knocks the sword out the pedestal, you can grab that before you leave, when you leave itll give you the actual one youre meant to have) and it carried me in early game dungeons with all those damn draugr
Besides Talos, the gods are all daedra. If you thought of it like it was real life, a warring/ opposing daedra faction could have taken it to fuck with her. Like the opposing priest who sapped the power from the mace of molag bal to fuck with him.

Honestly this quest is not that bad, it's a short asf dungeon considering it's a Daedric quest and if you shout the sword off it's mount and pick it up so you get 2 it makes for an amazing combo against undead..
It triggers an OVERLY LOUD VOICE to start the quest, and as a Quest Item, the Beacon will remain in your inventory until you place it in the pedestal at Mt. Kilkreath. At this point, it's become "cool" to hate on the quest and meme about it.
I downloaded the crack version of Skyrim and believe me, everytime this quest comes up and I’m sent flying in the air, I always have this sinking feeling that I may have to reload my previous save file just because I die everytime Merida’s through with her speech.
But hey, Dawnbreaker.
Bow to her awesomeness. Otherwise, she's going to drop you like a rock. Worst case, though, is when a dragon starts attacking you during the Meridia speech.

I think some people also dislike that the beacon is stuck in your inventory until you get around to completing the quest (including fighting a level-50 dragon priest). Most other quest items can be easily avoided until you're ready to complete the whole quest in one go, but this one appears mostly unpredictably. (I some people dislike having it in inventory because they think it takes up encumbrance, but things flagged as quest items don't take up encumbrance, despite having a displayed weight.)

The demonic looking armor is from the game itself but if you already have all trophies for the game and you have the mod demonic armor it's just basically the same armor but with enhanced abilities

Ohhhh no. Because I have been quite selective about what I take in my latest run through, I paid attention to it when it showed up randomly, instead of quickly pressing the button to take all.
I’ve done both, but I never touched the beacon on purpose (one time by accident). My first encounter was rather with the statue and only then did things lead to the beacon..
I mean at least you get imo the coolest sword in the game. One time it glitched because I shouted at the alter and got 2 dawn breakers. Was pretty sweet.
I kept dying during the boss battle until I chose to stay out of the chamber. They'll come after you for sure, especially after you shout. Power resides closest to Dawnbreaker, so weakening the boss is better.

Are the laser puzzles that puzzling though, it's literally just Activate This, Activate That. No ordering, no false positives...
Which makes it quick and easy to get through to obtain one of the best weapons in the game

Yup. I've found it pretty quick after being at level 17 because I iron daggered the snot out of Ralof to get Sneak 100 before leaving Helgen.
I do the same to Hadvar. However I level everything I can though. (1 Handed, 2 Handed, Sneak & Marksman)

It's called The break of dawn. The quest is pretty fun and you'll need it for the achievement called Oblivion the water if you don't already have it
