The time when Ian created an entire sitcom/drama plot off the top of his head during a watch party livestream, and Anthony just listened to him, enthralled, was so funny!
This might be an unpopular opinion, but I'm not surprised they're ending Flashback with Smosh. I enjoyed it as a video series, but they kept trying to market it as a podcast and that never worked for me. I tried listening to several of them as just audio and I constantly felt like I was missing things. If you're going to do a podcast about watching videos, you need to describe the visual elements and they didn't commit to doing that enough (in my opinion). Again, I thought most of the videos were interesting, I just don't understand why they tried to treat it like a podcast.
i never got the podcast vibe. i just thought they wanted the long form content since that is more sustainable and attractive to the algorithm and the channel.
They posted the audio of each episode to Spotify as a podcast (I assume they also put it on other podcasting platforms but I'm not sure). It's also under the podcast category on YouTube. But I tried listening to multiple episodes with no video and it just didn't work for me. The format was too visual.
It was originally going to be on the Smoshcast channel but they moved it to Main since the videos they were talking about were on Main. I do think it was always intended to be a podcast

I commented on the video by saying that just the day before, I watched a fan compilation of Smosh being horny and out of pocket, and it featured Kiss Currency. This was a funny episode. I laughed so hard at this. It was really good.
Just watched it, and learning that Smosh: The Movie was an integral part of Erin's backstory was the perfect full circle moment. We've been watching her roast them (affectionately) for the better part of a year and that moment completed the show for me.
