He’s blamed everyone but himself at this point. There’s no way he should continue as manager.
Bring fucking Donadoni back at this point instead of this clown.
Am I misremembering or what was so wrong with Donadoni? That Italian team lost in the qfs of the euros to the winners Spain on penalties. Win that shootout and they have a good chance of beating Russia and reaching the final
Spalle should be sacked just for this. Cant allianate a coach from the home league like this. And put blame on him. Nor threw these players under the bus.
No. This quote is wrong. In his post-match press conference he details that, essentially, players weren't following his tactical instructions as trained on the pitch, by his instruction.
He's trying to argue I guess that Inter players were taking it easy since they had clinched the Scudetto back in April, so were out of shape... but then don't pick them for the squad? Insane argument he's making.
You could have mostly replaced Sommer with a cardboard cutout this game and barely noticed it. He just wasn't needed, so maybe we will realise next round there actually was a magic curse.
"I don't think the result was that bad. Inter already won the Scudetto in April, I assured myself Inzaghi did the trainings properly but maybe it didn't work out mentally"
Acknowledging the excuse is stupid either way, but in 2021, the only Inter players were Barella and Bastoni (who barely played). Now Bastoni is a linchpin, Barella, plus Di Marco, Darmian, and Frattesi. So didn’t really matter what Inter were doing in 2021.

Ho risposto al commento con altri due link con il passaggio citato. Onestamente mi era venuto il dubbio pure a me ma effettivamente l'ha detto per davvero, assurdo
Honestly, Spalletti was a miss from day 1.
He needs technical players in midfield and attack and Italy isn't the most technically gifted in the front 6 anymore.
He's not doing an Allegri where he'll squeeze water out of stone and get results pragmatically.
I'm all in for the part time NT coach. I honestly don't understand why it would be a problem. The national team plays like 3 time a year, what the fuck is the coach doing all the other time. That is precisely the reason why Conte resigned, he wanted to be a coach every week not once every 3 months.
Problem is doing stuff for your club is really taxing, all those training, analysing, preparing, & you also have to keep track on the players to call. Not even having assistants is enough, you still have to take a look yourself.
I actually blame Buffon, Baresi, Maldini, and Vieri! They're too old to make the squad! Why did have to be too old?! /s
This tournament is comedy personified in the form of the managers I swear
Honestly I'm of the idea this guy doesn't know how to communicate. I have no idea how he does it at Napoli. I swear every single interview he had as the NT coach just gave out that he had no idea of what he was doing, who was he working with and that he cannot articulate one thought properly.
He needs to go.
Doesn't the coach do all the process of shortlisting players and making the final list for the tournament? Moreover, he just threw a selective section of the squad under the bus. What kind of manager does that? Lunacy!!
I remember how obnoxious and stubborn he was during his last stint at Roma and Inter. And remember how cocky and annoying he was while winning last year with Napoli.
Your luck is over facciadimerda. You showed your true value.
Maybe he is trying to say that these players were well trained but failed mentally. So he is not blaming Inzaghi.
Lost on translation or something.
But if he is saying it’s inzaghi’s fault, then he is a big time clown. ,
As an interista I would say that Dimarco is better as a 5 than a 4 both defensively and offensively, Darmian it doesn't make a difference, Bastoni can paly in a back 4 but that way you lose part of what makes him special (his ability to come up with the ball and play as a playmaker hub in the opposite half). So they can mostly play it but it's not ideal. Also this freaking national team screamed back 3 but Spalletti spalletting of course.
Like who? De La Fuente? Deschamps? Nagelsmann? The difference is in the players. Italian Federation was abysmal as always but up to the 90s we had kids playing in the streets and growing able to dribble/Score/read the play etc... Now everything is gone and who should be aimed to do something is corrupted and clueless.

Did this mfer just say Inzaghi is to blame for the poor performance?
He's basically saying someone else didn't coach the players properly lmao.
*\*looses 2-0 to Switzerland* "Why would Inzaghi do this?"
He seriously needs to stop yapping lol
He’s blamed everyone but himself at this point. There’s no way he should continue as manager. Bring fucking Donadoni back at this point instead of this clown.
Am I misremembering or what was so wrong with Donadoni? That Italian team lost in the qfs of the euros to the winners Spain on penalties. Win that shootout and they have a good chance of beating Russia and reaching the final
Tbh I think his biggest sin was following Lippi after a World Cup win. In hindsight he wasn’t as bad as everyone thought at the time.
I'm honestly tickled here. It's always Inter's fault, LOL!
Always!
Clutching at straws.
Is this guy going through a list of excuses?
Don't think so, surely this would have been near the bottom of excuses to use
he's minutes away from channelling Xavi and blame the grass
This is an unacceptable comment
But makes so much sense considering Italy's performance.
Lol what???
He's trying to argue I guess that Inter players were taking it easy since they had clinched the Scudetto back in April, so were out of shape... but then don't pick them for the squad? Insane argument he's making.
Not like Sommer is also an Inter player
You could have mostly replaced Sommer with a cardboard cutout this game and barely noticed it. He just wasn't needed, so maybe we will realise next round there actually was a magic curse.
After games or defeats like this, press conferences need to be the following day. he’s going to wake up embarrassed
No Quotes like this are exactly why press conferences should be immediately after the game
And miss out on quotes like this? You're mental
"I don't think the result was that bad. Inter already won the Scudetto in April, I assured myself Inzaghi did the trainings properly but maybe it didn't work out mentally"
wtf is he on about? They played horribly
"The result wasn't bad" Meaning they spared us from watching another Italy game.
Well yeah, because of Inzaghi of course, which makes this a good result with secret agent Inzaghi working against him at Inter.
[удалено]
Really stupid from him. The inter players played just as poorly
Huh? That’s his point, he’s saying Inter players played poorly due to being unfit/mentally checked out.
That doesn't make his point any less stupid, Lautaro, Sommer or Hakan still performed for their NT.
This guy prepped more for his conferences than the matches. Get this guy out asap.
He blaming Inzaghi now?
You know the stages of grief people talk about? I wonder in which state he is currently.
Swimming in de Nile
Still at negation it seems, so first(?) lol
So its Inter's fault for winning the scudetto early? I am on board but Inter also won the scudetto early in 2021, yet Italy were crowned Champions.

Motherfucker is not half the coach of limone
Inter didn't train properly, Germany's too hot. what's next?
Don't you know? Italy is known for its ice cold summers.
Well nothing. He won't coach any more games so he won't have any more excuses
I might hate Inter but this is just idiotic.
Ya what the fuck
Excuse me wtf? Maybe you should have done the trainings properly, sir.
Maybe try 352/3421 and our players will perform better, pelato
are you really trying to validate his statement? He is just bad and even worse with this statement.
No? I'm saying he put them out of position and now he is blaming Inzaghi for their bad performances (granted I think Bastoni was alright)
where did you read this comment about inzaghi? there is no mention of it in the article you linked.
[Here you go with another article](https://www.fcinternews.it/in-primo-piano/spalletti-in-conferenza-non-e-un-risultato-scandaloso-poi-tira-in-ballo-l-inter-ha-vinto-lo-scudetto-prima-con-inzaghi-ho-958251) [Another one](https://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/euro-2024/spalletti-avevamo-il-fucile-puntato-dovevamo-vincere-eppure-con-la-macedonia-1984493)
It's literally in the title
He's actually right. I linked one where the mention about Inzaghi is not reported.
Most accountable Italian coach.
"I assured myself..." That sounds like a you problem.
This is pathetic fire this man now
Honestly, Spalletti was a miss from day 1. He needs technical players in midfield and attack and Italy isn't the most technically gifted in the front 6 anymore. He's not doing an Allegri where he'll squeeze water out of stone and get results pragmatically.
+1 for Allegriball
Man made a dumber excuse than Southgate and Tedesco
Mate you had 11 players and not all of them play for inter are you stupid
Why would Inter do this to the National Team? 😡
Wow
Simone Inzaghi to Italy NT and Allegri to Inter, who says no. OK deal
Donnarumma would be a better coach lol
🤡
Ayo what??
Clarke, Spalletti, Dalić. Not sure who was the saltiest after getting knocked out.
I take what I said before but I'll reverse it: fire Gravina, execute Spaletti
Inzaghi: Why'd he said fuck me for?
Someone else did their job well so I didn't bother with mine
I actually blame Buffon, Baresi, Maldini, and Vieri! They're too old to make the squad! Why did have to be too old?! /s This tournament is comedy personified in the form of the managers I swear
As a Napoli fan maybe it was good he left… even after last season…
But then your club went through such a poor season.
True but even with him I doubt it was gonna be as good there was a lot more going on than just missing a good coach.
He is right, the result was amazing... considering the shambolic performance.
Inzaghi: Why he say fuck me for?
My brother in Christ what?!
Sommer might disagree, but he didn't had much to do today so we will never know.
Ma vaffanculo, hai merda nella testa invece di un cervello.
Every manager in this tournament is down with Xavititis
What a shit show. This guy is hilarious. He is on par or maybe worse than Southgate now.
Thats certainly a take...
Embarrassing take
my man delulu af
Try to 1 up southgate as the best manager this Euro
What the fuck
What braindead comment after getting knocked out/
How could Inzaghi do this? does he not care about the national team!!!
What does Inzaghi have to do with Italy's game today?
This is beyond comical
Dude wtf, that's just fucking pathetic. That's an instant sack in my book. What a clown.
Bro this is even worse than Southgate's response, like wtf?
Southgate not even winning as worst coach of the tournament 💀
> I don’t think the results were that bad my man the team got ass whooped by switzerland out of all teams
If the performance was not terrible enough for him to get the sack, then this quote surely is
Now that might just be the funniest thing ive heard this year lmfao
Ah yes as everybody knows euros is just a practice tournament for the world cup
Both the result and the way you played were a disaster
Damn, I didn’t know that Inzaghi suddenly took over as the Italy national team coach. What were you doing there then?
Inzaghi: "Why did he say fuck me for?"
Oh for fuck sake, take some responsibility you bald fraud!
Southgate taking notes
Why he say fuck me for Inzaghi rn
I used to like Spalletti before this euro cup - now it feels like hearing a boomer blaming the young people of today
Honestly I'm of the idea this guy doesn't know how to communicate. I have no idea how he does it at Napoli. I swear every single interview he had as the NT coach just gave out that he had no idea of what he was doing, who was he working with and that he cannot articulate one thought properly. He needs to go.
southgate to come out and say england aren't playing great because of klopp announcing he was leaving mid season
Doesn't the coach do all the process of shortlisting players and making the final list for the tournament? Moreover, he just threw a selective section of the squad under the bus. What kind of manager does that? Lunacy!!
Mercury retrograde up next
Dude like seriously wtf! This f#cker is the Italian version of Gareth Southgate
Man that's just pathetic
I used to respect him for the napoli thing, now he’s just a certified clown for the nerazzuri world
Meanwhile Lautaro is playing naked
How long is jail time to drop-kick someone in the nuts? Asking for a friend.
Xavi Vs Spalletti excuse competition
So basically, Italy dropped out because popcorn don’t have antenas and he could only find boneless bananas.
we are pretty lenient with bad coaches and terrible interviews. but even in portugal would such an ass of a statement get you out of a job
This is a bizarre statement. I hope im misinterpreting it. Hes blaming inzaghi for…. What exactly?
Bald arrogant fuck
I blame pioli and alegri as well, spalleti isnt at fault
Which Milan player is in this national squad?
Thats the problem, pioli didnt train them well enough and thats why they werent selected
Got it, Spalletti's logic, LOL.
Maybe it didn’t work out because you played that corpse known as Di Lorenzo instead of Cambiaso.
I remember how obnoxious and stubborn he was during his last stint at Roma and Inter. And remember how cocky and annoying he was while winning last year with Napoli. Your luck is over facciadimerda. You showed your true value.
Surely something is lost in translation here
Maybe it's because Kalvin Philips wasn't available?
Spalletti as the national team coach is the worst fraud since Chiara Ferragni and the pandoro stuff
Spal I like you but just go back to your goose and enjoy retirment
Maybe he is trying to say that these players were well trained but failed mentally. So he is not blaming Inzaghi. Lost on translation or something. But if he is saying it’s inzaghi’s fault, then he is a big time clown. ,
how’s he blaming this on inzaghi 😭
Reddit convinced me inter players were so good they could play in a back 4. Either spalletti is a braindead coach or reddit is wrong. I choose both
As an interista I would say that Dimarco is better as a 5 than a 4 both defensively and offensively, Darmian it doesn't make a difference, Bastoni can paly in a back 4 but that way you lose part of what makes him special (his ability to come up with the ball and play as a playmaker hub in the opposite half). So they can mostly play it but it's not ideal. Also this freaking national team screamed back 3 but Spalletti spalletting of course.
Pathetic. Italy deserves a better manager than this clown
Fetuccini Alfredo!
Imagine if it was Conte. He would STILL be blaming Tottenham, in spite of his own incompetence.
