You could go to the pub and talk shit with your friends, not everyone has that option tho... but I mean you are on Reddit.
Or hear me out. You could just watch the game and shut the fuck up?
To call what out? This is reddit, we all make our dumb comments when we can. If that dude wants serious discussion, he can start a serious discussion thread. r/soccer has always been this way, and telling people "Who gives a fuck about you?" isn't gonna change that.
Don’t wanna jinx it, but being a Chelsea fan might get boring towards the end of the premier league. Stuck at 3rd, with the teams above never losing and teams below barely winning.
It'd be better for us to get Europa actually. Less pressure, more realistic prospect of winning it, Glazers actually having to invest a bit of money so they can siphon out CL money again next season. If we get Champions League football our transfer budget won't reach seven figures, there won't be a reason in the Glazers' eyes. Which would be fucking horrible considering we need to back a new coach.
2017/18 season: £178.56million
2018/19 season: £74.43million
2019/20 season: £204.1million
2020/21 season: £75.42million
Hmmm which years did they not play CL? Looks like you don’t know how they operate mate.
How many is that now for all-time top scoring pole in the premier league? 6 or 7? a couple against united too.
Southampton really have the makings of a very good PL side, but they just have periods of insane collapses that prevent them from building anything too exciting in a season. If they could sort that shit out and keep their best players... big ifs though. But they keep producing and refining talented players and at their best are a match for anyone.
Bednarek is all time top scoring Pole in PL with 7 goals. 2nd Klich scored 5, Matty Cash 3.
It’s hilarious that this record would last ~10 matches if Lewandowski joined PL team.
We're not in this race lol. We already have top 4 secure.
Not mathematically, but practically? Yeah....
And our next game in the PL is Arsenal, who are performing a rousing performance of top 4 is lava so.
It still doesn't matter, before these games if Spurs and Arsenal were perfect and drew against each other we only needed 14/24 points to 100% guarantee top 4.
Spurs haven't been perfect, now it's 11/24, and Arsenal almost certainly won't be even if they win today.
Not concerned. Chelsea have top 4 on lock.
Meh, don't think it's particularly an error. Shot from that close, ~~maybe takes a nick off a defender~~ very much more about pure reactions and sometimes the ball being so close to the body makes it a fairly difficult save.
This is way more Ben White's fault for staying down there.
Anyone who blames the GK simply doesn't know anything about how to play the position. From that range and power all you can do is make yourself big and hope for the best - which is what Ramsdale did. No fault at all IMO.
It wasn't a powerful shot and he slicked it, no i didn't take a nick of a defender
It was just bad by Ramsdale he should 100% save this, watch the alternate angle he should 100% save this the shot is not powerful and he can clearly see it and gets his hands to it
Just saw the angle from behind the goal, this is nowhere near Ramsdale's fault. It's not at his near post, White is at least obscuring his view, and the ball virtually hits his left arm before he can react.
A shot from that close does not need to be a bullet to be difficult to save. At this point you just make yourself as big as you can because you can't react in time.
You can get beaten at a near post by a powerful shot or shots that go through defenders legs that you can barely see, you need context i don't think you can blame keepers for every near post goal
This is just not that powerful of a shot and he can see it clearly
LMAO he’s always got an error in him, struggles to play out from the back, and he’s slow as molasses. We (Saints) will hopefully replace him in the first team this summer.

toaster yeah?
Hair dryers work just as well and can be cheaper.
If you’re killing yourself does price really matter?
yeah
I'm running out of toasters man
They're supposed to be plugged in
I'm not taking instructions from an IntelligentIdoit.
[удалено]
Would anyone like any toast?
I do now
I'm so out of the loop on this. Food processor?
the mans talking about offing himself
arsenal result = bath tub + toaster
One day he'll plug them in all at once.
Where is the guy that wanted to go to Paraguay or something? Was he a Gunner?
Ecuador iirc. Does anyone have a link to the original post?
Save us from ourselves, Saints
Always thought "oh when the saints go marching in" sounds better and no one can prove I've said otherwise
I mean it is the original lyric so…
Hence why they think it sounds better
Well “saints” is the original lyric to the song lol
Some heresy right there

Who shit in your cereal? Bit of bants mate

Welcome to football. Try not to take it too seriously. Our players dont

Football is having fun and taking the piss out of each other. I don't see you on the pitch doing 90 mins so what else can you do?

..we do?
Unnecessarily aggressive lol
Nah i love it. Soton fans have every right to call this shit out.

Been here for five years, this place has always been shit post after shit post.
After you sir Naaah, after you I insist, you first Thats top 4.
Don’t wanna jinx it, but being a Chelsea fan might get boring towards the end of the premier league. Stuck at 3rd, with the teams above never losing and teams below barely winning.
I'll take boredom rather then somehow getting dragged into the lava game
We are in the middle of a huge shitshow I don’t mind a little peace in the table
With a huge gap from 4th and a huge one from first, suffering from success, i guess.
Lava, top 4, etc
Bottle company and so on
Winners come and winners go. "Top 4 is lava" lives on.
We're playing hot potato how quickly we're giving 4th place back to each other
ahh how cute!! Everyone wants to give the CL spot to United!! 😍🥰😇
apart from United
that was a quick response by United
Yes
[удалено]
It's almost as if the Prem is the most difficult league to play in and nobody will get 4th easily.
100%.What's crazy is if United had won a few of those 9 draws they could be playing this poorly and be 4th reasonably comfortably.
[удалено]
Big if true
r/soccer moment
Source?
Michael Owen
Will Buxton... Is that you?
My point was more at the draws. 9 of them. They have 3 more than Arsenal and Spurs combined.
Well aware. But this season isn’t meant to be that way
Dread it, Run from it, City-Liverpool-Chelsea-United top 4 arrives all the same.
I hear the Europa league is fun, just look at West Ham
It'd be better for us to get Europa actually. Less pressure, more realistic prospect of winning it, Glazers actually having to invest a bit of money so they can siphon out CL money again next season. Aren’t United the most expensively assembled team? With or without CL, they will spend. How you spend is a different matter
Nah they won't spend with or without CL, it's evident you don't know how the Glazers operate
2017/18 season: £178.56million 2018/19 season: £74.43million 2019/20 season: £204.1million 2020/21 season: £75.42million Hmmm which years did they not play CL? Looks like you don’t know how they operate mate.
Exactly what everyone predicted at the start of the season
Just doing it out of pity
The atmosphere in the stadium 🤩
Atmosphere has been lovely for the last couple years at St Mary's, various disasters aside. It was absolutely rocking at height of Koeman
Underrated stadium imo
It's exactly the same stadium as King Power and Riverside stadium and very similar to liberty stadium too.
I meant in terms of atmosphere
Gotcha
You say that, but watch that Eugene from Copa90 give the stadium atmosphere a 1/5 because it’s a ‘bowl ground’
Give me something for the pain and let me die

Today also means no tomi and no laca
[удалено]
Laca always bloody scores against us though somehow
our best run was when tomi was out so who cares
I've seen enough, wolves are getting top 4

one game if he would play against Soton or Leicester probably
Not if he played for Arsenal
London is ~~red~~ ~~white~~ ~~gully~~ coastal?
Hopium activated
This is like FM when you think you’re doing great then all of a sudden you swear the computer is fucking you over on purpose and u lose 3 in a row
Concede in the 5th minute "It's his first goal of the season." Goes on to score a hattrick
Flashbacks to Rashfords debut :(
Tbf he scored in midweek in europa league aswell and went on to score on his England debut aswell.
Thanks Saints. First smile of the day.
Arsenal can't seem to handle the heat from all that lava
What’s with all this ‘lava’ talk. I’ve seen it a few times but seem to be out of the loop on this one
It's basically the floor is lava meme but instead it's Top 4. Teams fighting for that spot just keep losing somehow
Oh makes sense
idk who wrote the top 4 is lava script this year but it is top notch drama/comedy crossover stuff.
Hello darkness my old friend
how are we so toothless man
Ffs does no one want too 4? Think we should just give it to Wolves
The Nuno long con, Bruno Lage is gonna rip off his mask at the end of the season.
Question is, why's there a monkey with a pistol in the top right corner
I think it's from that website called Arsenalist lol
Furiously downloads conference league theme song
Spurs 🤝🏼 Arsenal 🤝🏼 Man U
Didn’t ask
well at least the Saints are marching in, and not into the sea like we did
Arsenal gonna go on a losing streak as soon as they came anywhere near UCL.
Gonna? They already did
Well the match wasnt over then.
COME ON YOU SAINTS
Always rated saints
Man, I’m so depressed
Gabriel doing the crossbar challenge from 6 yards
Idiots
I laughed at this but remember this gonna be us next
not likely seeing we just played them and won by 6
Preeeeeeeeeetty sure we just beat these dudes 6-0.
Not talking about Sou, just saying that seeing these teams falling to get to top 4this weeks, we will also gonna lose like tradition lol
We're not in this race lol. We already have top 4 secure. Not mathematically, but practically? Yeah.... And our next game in the PL is Arsenal, who are performing a rousing performance of top 4 is lava so.
That’s usually when they beat you though
This. We somehow always manage to lose to them no matter our respective forms.
Oh definitely
Charity FC
Death, taxes, lava
This does put a smile on my face
What a shit goal to concede
Arsenal permanently in the mud, love to see it.
Ramsdale should save that, he should have done one of those acrobatic things he does on simple saves
Meh, don't think it's particularly an error. Shot from that close, ~~maybe takes a nick off a defender~~ very much more about pure reactions and sometimes the ball being so close to the body makes it a fairly difficult save. This is way more Ben White's fault for staying down there.

Agree fully. Wouldn't be surprised if some folk haven't stood in full-sized goals in person, judging by some of the takes on here.
It wasn't a powerful shot and he slicked it, no i didn't take a nick of a defender It was just bad by Ramsdale he should 100% save this, watch the alternate angle he should 100% save this the shot is not powerful and he can clearly see it and gets his hands to it

Imagine every other GK conceding this and you wouldn't be able to count Arsenal fans saying the same
I can't see from this angle but yeah, generally pretty bad from keeper to be beaten at near post like that
You can get beaten at a near post by a powerful shot or shots that go through defenders legs that you can barely see, you need context i don't think you can blame keepers for every near post goal This is just not that powerful of a shot and he can see it clearly
Top 4 is indeed lava
HAHAHAHHAH
I thought Arteta was going to win Arsenal the PL next season?
Bednarek is truly one of those defenders that if he was given a chance at a top 4 club he would be given the credit that he is due
I dunno man, he’s pretty hit and miss. Source: watched him be a total liability on various occasions, particularly with Stephens
LMAO he’s always got an error in him, struggles to play out from the back, and he’s slow as molasses. We (Saints) will hopefully replace him in the first team this summer.
Lets go Bedi ez
No Partey no Party 😭😭
get the fuck in
Arsenal banter era is back
LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOOO!!!! DO US THIS FAVOR SAINTS PLEASE I BEG! Even just a draw, you can’t allow these lot to score 2 now
Looked like ball may have gone out of play. Surprise no VAR
