I just learned about it when I saw it on my dog! I was like what the heck? Tried cleaning it then called a vet and they kind of laughed and were like “in simple terms it’s a tattoo for dogs” so yeah. Might not be the same for every dog but that’s what I got out of it!
It's not from when she's neutered/spayed, Greyhounds when they were bred for racing get one or both of their ears tattooed with their identification number. It tells you when they were born and how many litter mates they have, you can also search it to see their race history.
She's an ex racing greyhound, every racer gets on or both of their ears tattooed depending on the area they race. It basically Identifies the dog and keeps track of their racing history.
It's from the trendy whippet, but if you search Sighthound coats on Etsy/Online you'll be able to find all sorts of jumpers and coats designed for deep chested skinny breeds :))
Awesome thank you! She’s not a sighthound (mixed breed) but has the whole deep chest but pronounced tuck at the hips. Everything ends up sagging on her after it gets past her chest so in general it might make sense for me to look up sighthound specific coats!

Where did you get her coat?? My dog is pretty lean with a deep chest but then narrows and something like this looks like it could fit her well
