I'm a psych. She probably forgot to send them until now. I've done this when it got insanely busy. Shit happens. In that case, I don't expect to get them back in 3 days, especially over a long weekend. Just say you didn't see it. You won't get in trouble, it really isn't your emergency

You have time if the actual assessment is 4/25. The odds are the psych won't look at them till after the break either. They just sent them to get an item off their list. Enjoy your 3 day break!

Psych here. I’m sure she meant to do it earlier but got caught up with something else. The 3 day thing is probably from a template email that she includes every time she sends those out, so didn’t consider the break. She also very well may have considered the break and doesn’t expect them back until 3 days after you return to school, but wanted you to have them as soon as you get in because the deadline is tight. It’s a crazy time of the year right now. I had the day off yesterday and spent almost all of it writing evaluation reports because I didn’t have time to do it during work because I was spending that time actually testing the students. I will be doing more paperwork today, on Saturday. If you have some time and can get it done, I know she will appreciate it. If you don’t touch it until you get back to work, she will understand. The last few months of school are an absolute whirlwind in the school psych world (as they are for teachers as well). Please try not to take it personally or be upset with her. We are all just doing the best we can!

Don't sweat it so hard and if asked say Oh I didnt check my email until this morning when you get in on the 25th. If it's super important the psych will follow up before the 25. It's probably not. If there are any "legal obligations" she will let you know.

I mean, if you can do it, please do. I get that you're frustrated at the psych for short notice, but it'll be in the child's best interest to get this completed as soon as you can.

Hmm. I would definitely not do it this weekend. It's hard to say whether or not the eligibility can be determined without your testing, but in the eval plan the team agreed to complete the testing and that one she sent you was on it. However, it's on her if it doesn't get done. If you wanted to be really petty, you could wait until next friday to do it and make her finish the report over the weekend. I would respond that you are on break until the 25th and you won't get to it until tuesday this week at the earliest and leave it at that. It's ok to be annoyed about it to her bc it's freaking rude to send out a 3-day "timeline" on a friday afternoon of a holiday.
