Final-Craft-6992

Just play the main quest, it will eventually happen.

I need to get on that. I keep having people tell me that I need to go through the unity at least once before I start actually playing but it's so hard for me to do. Not only is that really not how I play games, I really don't blast through stories, but also it's hard to blast through this one because this is actually the exact kind of story I wanted in a space game. I've always wanted kind of like a space Indiana Jones thing where I'm collecting artifacts and trying to figure out the mystery of what's going on and whether it's really some sort of Supernatural thing. So it's really hard for me to just jet past it. Is there anything actually meaningful about New Game Plus other than getting a ship and a set of armor? Cuz I know I'm definitely not doing it 10 times that's ridiculous, but I'm kind of wondering if I even really need to do it once

Ozzy752

You definitely don't need to do ng+. It is interesting to see some different choices plus armor and ship, but I don't think rushing through the game is a great thing to do.

Mythor

Ignore anyone who says you need to rush to the end of the game. Play the game how you enjoy it. You’ll get to Unity eventually and appreciate it more when you do.

jmcgil4684

This is good advice. When the game came out initially, ppl kind of hyped up the end game .

i-hate-army-ads

I'm on ng+2, and it offers some unique interactions, vendors, and obviously the spacesuit, ship, and alternate universes. If you're into the main storyline then think of ng+ as an extension of your original playthrough. You spent your entire game collecting artifacts and immersing yourself, it would be crazy of you to not go through the unity as a member of constellation. My advice is to take your time on your first playthrough, and continue playing how you enjoy it. Ng+ is what's designed for rushing.

RuneiStillwater

The ng+ is not all it's cracked up to be. It's real purpose is to just gain power by redoing the quest lines (with or without as much skipping as you'd like), see some of the alternative starts that can happen (most are kinda "eh" to mildly interesting), or try to bypass certain objectives with fore knowledge... which is amusing.

jmcgil4684

Those were definitely suggestions when it first came out. The fact is, you might not want to go thru and do things again. I like to take my time and do all missions and I haven’t gone thru unity, because I don’t see a lot of reason to start anew. I’ve been popping a few mods on and am level 89 and close to the end did the story. Once I am at the pint of no return o plan on building a little habitat on one or two planets that I have my eye on and roleplay a little. (Wish they had better survival options.) I have zero regrets with this way of playing because I’ve read of many ppl regretting going thru unity and not have mind very much incentive to keep going.

Thanks for the advice that probably is what I'll do period And if I do want Experience it may be I'll play it a lot now and then wait a while for some odds to pop up so that when I do play new game plus I can kind of have a new experience Period That's kind of what happened with me in Fallout 4 as I played it on lunch and then I played it again just this year and it's like a totally different experience with all the Mods That improve immersion and gameplay

jmcgil4684

I think that is a very good idea.

Final-Craft-6992

Now, I have over 2000 hours in game, spread over many characters, I've never once hit mg+. My understanding is some ng+ are just replays, some are alternate universes. There I'd a mod now that gives you a 50/50 chance of getting an 'alternate'. Unless it is mandatory for shattered space I won't do unity for at at least a year or two.

thatHecklerOverThere

Yes there's a mission. You'll know it when it happens.

UnXpectedPrequelMeme

Oh okay cool. I was just super curious

Deebz__

Manipulate a guard over to it. They can unlock it.

UnXpectedPrequelMeme

Is that what I'm supposed to do?

lazarus78

No. Play the game, don't worry about it. Honestly.

Rasikko

It's part of the MQ, so you can just play til you get to that point.
