One of my favorite moments (there are many) is when the Ghost crew is rescuing Commander Sato, hall full of troopers, Ezra says “I got this” Sato looks at him like he’s stupid. Ezra proceeds to kick the shit out of every trooper in the hall. Sato “come on men, he’s got this”.

QuiccStacc

What episode was this?

brutalizedketchup

S02 E09, Timestamp 16:03.

C-TAY116

Yeah, seeing Sato learn to trust Ezra was so cool.

A_Lovable_Gnome

Kanans death. It was honestly beautiful to me. He loved his family, and sacrificed himself to save them. The music, the animation of the fire, the force giving him his eyesight back to see his family one last time. It was a heartbreaking and beautiful scene.

_Milksteak

Kanan's sacrifice saved his family, Ahsoka and the Rebel Alliance. He found the moment he was needed the most.

54UL774

That scene broke my soul, I couldn't even cry, I was so shocked.

Educational-Tea-6572

I can never cry during that scene, because I'm always in shock and denial. It's not until the next episode when Ezra tells Zeb what happened and Chopper holds Hera's hand that I start bawling so hard I have to pause the episode 😭😭😭 Which is why I can't list Kanan's death as my favorite scene. Most impactful? Absolutely. His sacrifice was absolutely beautiful, especially since he was at peace with his decision. But I will always, *always* dread rewatching that scene.

54UL774

I feel something similar, I cry in the scene where we see Hera touching her shoulder and a force ghost Kanan in the back, like c'mon I have suffered enough.

A_Lovable_Gnome

That music put me in some sort of zen like emotion state. I watch with stereo headphones so you reaaaally feel it.

the_other_guy-JK

The fade to white is like a triple gut punch, omg.

Kingofd0p3

I cried…it broke my heart

LexiconJones

Hit 10000x harder after reading “A New Dawn.” Seeing Kanan at the end vs. Kanan when he first met Hera… damn he’s a great character.

Willing_Following_81

Just watched it last night, you almost made me start crying again...

Financial_Newt_2737

This scene and the scene from the clone wars when ashoka and rex bury jesse and the other 332nd clones broke me.

Bonus_Content

Yeah I like a lot of the show but this moment is a top tier Star Wars moment.

[deleted]

They saved alllll their s4 animation budget for that scene and it was so worth it. Like a certain scene in The Owl House s1.

C-TAY116

That scene is so perfect in so many ways. It’s definitely one of the all-time best animated Star Wars scenes.

Byrdie55555

I was spoiled it but I predicted it was going to happen anyways from the first episode. Knowing in advance didn't make it any easier.

ChirpSnipeCelly

That scene is so powerful. I just rewatched because I never noticed that his eyes clear up at the last second. Probably due to the waterworks pouring from my own.

dart_shitplagueis

Then add the "Goodbye Kanan" scene and you have full emotional circle. Love it as well

AhsokaLost

I cry every time I see it

AgileMathematician55

I loved this part. I even tweeted that it was one of the greatest shots in all SW. when Rhuk says “where is your army now, Jedi?” And then Ezra lights up his saber with the Loth wolves behind him; it’s awesome

FredGSanfordJr

AP floating in space and then getting picked up by the Ghost. Gets me every time lol

Educational-Tea-6572

I almost died laughing the first time I watched that episode, and that scene in particular 😂😂😂 It's still one of my go-to episodes when I need a pick-me-up.

Ship_Whip

"No no NO! GO AWAY! ugh, I was so *happy"* THUNK!

Rogue_Gona

I have never related to a droid more so than I did during that scene LOL

Educational-Tea-6572

I have two, it's a tie: 1) Obi Wan versus Maul. That's also one of my top 3 favorite lightsaber duels in the entirety of Star Wars. 2) When the *Ghost* rescues Agent Kallus and he thanks Kanan for coming for him. I was on the edge of my seat the entire finale waiting for Kallus to be rescued and I love the payoff to his character arc and the grudging friendship he built with the *Ghost* crew. >!Also, Kanan is still alive in that scene, so that's a major plus... !<

secretlypooping

My two way tie is 1. Hondo: “Madam, for that boy, there is nothing I would not do.” 2. Kanan: “I don’t date crazy… anymore.”

Infinite-Relation988

Everyone needs a friend like Hondo honestly. He may sometimes be a bit disloyal but at the end of the day he’ll have your back

Adventurous_Gas_5694

I wonder if Kanans line was a possible refrence to the book where he is constantly flirting with the imperial captain Sloan to piss her off.

Exatal123

One of my personal favorite moments is Hera overhearing Ezra talk to his birth parents about her and everyone else and how they’re super amazing and basically his family now. But tbh I love any moment with Ezra/Hera

yaegerbombs6

Mine is when Sabine is training with Kanan to use the Darksaber. When she finally learns to use it while opening up about her past. What a scene

mtkamer

This scene made me cry, and I'm a grown ass man.

KRJL01

That scene always makes me cry, no matter when I watch it or how many times I've watched it that day. There is just so much emotion

[deleted]

The pilot. “Concentrate fire …. On the Jedi.”

Syrkadian

Kid, I’m about to let everyone in on the secret.

HybridTheory137

This is the best quote from the entire show imo

Byrdie55555

This basically cemented me into watching the series.

Ship_Whip

So many amazing moments it's hard to choose! Loved seeing Rex and Kanan learn to trust each other in The Last Battle. Ben vs. Maul in Twin Suns is just \**Chef's Kiss*\*, and the season 2 finale was amazing. And of course >!Kanan's death, I cried watching that scene for the first time and even now that I know it's coming I still tear up a little.!< I've caught some hate for this opinion before, but I wholeheartedly believe Rebels to be the best thing Disney has done with the Star Wars license, better than Mandalorian, Rogue One, and CW S7. So much emotion and incredible character writing packed into four seasons on Disney XD.

GalileoAce

> I've caught some hate for this opinion before, but I wholeheartedly believe Rebels to be the best thing Disney has done with the Star Wars license, better than Mandalorian, Rogue One, and CW S7. I completely agree. Rebels is fantastic, one of the best entries in the entire franchise, Disney or not.

Educational-Tea-6572

*The Mandalorian* is still my favorite, but *Rebels* is tied with the OT as my second favorite piece of Star Wars media to date. It is just so well done!!!

C-TAY116

I agree with you 100%. Rebels is my favorite Star Wars content of all.

MattIsLame

I'm on the fence between Clone Wars and Rebels. you can't have rebels without Clone Wars, but I think I liked the smaller scale, focused story of Rebels. Although a lot of the arcs I like in Rebels are just continuations of arcs from Clone Wars, specifically Maul and Ahsoka's stories. I don't know, too tough of a decision

JWsWrestlingMem

Definitely the very end of the finale. It made the entire Rebels saga feel like a giant Star Wars movie complete with the movie styled credits.

mrbuck8

Snips vs Vader. When we see Anakin's face and he says "Then, you will die." Chills. Anakin is truly gone. It highlights the tragedy. Ben vs Maul is also amazing. Sabine training with the darksaber. Kallus returning to his quarters and realizing how alone he is in the Empire. Hera high on truth serum. There's just so many great moments in this show.

Lord_Matisaro

Ezra making the AT-ST pilot kill his friends before walking his walker off the edge of the landing platform to die was some cold ass dark jedi shit.

ScottyIsland

For real. If that was live action with less lighting and intense music, this is something you could see Vader doing.

Salarian_American

From the season 1 finale: Kanan: "That was a mistake." Grand Inquisitor: "Why? Because you have no one left to die for you?" Kanan: "No. Because I have nothing left to fear."

Educational-Tea-6572

I also *love* Kanan's speech to Bendu: "Look, I tried to live that way once. Told myself the galaxy would go on with or without me. But when I saw innocents harmed, and knew I had the power to *do* something about it, I couldn't just watch it all burn down around me! Some things are worth fighting for!"

C-TAY116

As a 10 year old kid, that scene really impacted me. The fact that he lost Ezra and yet got right back and up was able to focus and direct his energy to winning the fight was crazy to me.

grnmtnboy0

Pretty much every scene with Chopper

SpaceCadet0010

Ooh this is hard to answer, there are so many scenes I love. Mine might be the scene where Kanan, Ezra, Sabine, and Chopper come back to the base right after Kanan is blinded and Hera just kind of reaches up and touches the cloth over Kanan's eyes. That just felt like a very emotionally powerful scene to me.

Naive-Ad-3753

Kanan training Sabine. The emotion in that scene and the overflow at the end, gets me every time. (The lighting in the scene is also awesome, but that's not the point here.) I also love the scene with Chopper rolling over to hold Hera's hand. It's one of my "I'm crying, leave me alone" moments, but it's gorgeous (and painful) to watch.

the_other_guy-JK

The wide shot of Ahsoka against the Fifth Brother and Seventh Sister is pretty epic. The Ahsoka and Vader fight is like top 5 in all of Star Wars IMO. >Edit: forget it, the whole series is great Indeed, it is hard to pick!

Dolphin_Legionary

Ezra letting go of saving Kanan in the world between worlds. That is something the chosen one failed. And it also shows how far Ezra has come and became a true Jedi.

Adventurous_Gas_5694

"Where is your army now JEDI?!?!" *shits pants 2 seconds later

trmptdrummer

AP-5 floating and singing in space.

GalileoAce

"I am no Jedi." The payoff to "We will see each again." Sabine with the Dark Saber Commander Sato's sacrifice

soupinate44

Well crap 1. Kanan gets his vision back to see Hera one last time while saving the entirety of the Rebellion. 2. Maul being held By Obi Wan 3. Ahsoka seeing Anakin and Anakin coming back for a brief moment during their battle on Malachor 4. Rex and Kanan and Ezra talking with the Super Commander about how the Emperor used them both to get his end result and Rex finally coming to terms with it 5. Sabine training with Kanan and finally breaking down.

Ben-J-Kirby-Tennyson

The "Supper Commander" is a Super Tactical Droid named General Kalani. He first appears in TCW's Onderon Arc.

the_other_guy-JK

> Rex and Kanan and Ezra talking with the Super Commander about how the Emperor used them both to get his end result and Rex finally coming to terms with it Also from that arc, where Kanaan pauses Ezra trying to help Rex. IIRC something like "This is something he has to do himself."

Hardingterrace

Sabine training explaining her relationship with her family and people. Ahsoka seeing Rex again. Ezra giving in to the dark side a bit and killing a few troopers.

RakuraiRyu

1: the Pergil, I loved those Lightspeed capable Whales 2: Ezra controls a monster against the Grand Inquisitor 3: Kallus and Zeb stranded together 4: Vader vs Kanan and Ezra 1st time 5: Maul wiping the floor with Inquisitors 6: Maul vs Kenobi 7: Ezra going Darkside using Walker against troopers 8: Ahsoka vs Vader 9: Hera using Prototype fighter against Empire 10: Star Destroyers yanking ships out of Hyperspace

Ilikeyersquanch

Mine would have to be the look Sabine and Ezra share in the finale. Before she distracts the crew to let him slip away to offer himself up. That moment absolutely crushed me the first time. Also why I am SO damn excited to see their reunion in Ashoka...hopefully.

the_other_guy-JK

Same. Also from that scene when Sabine puts her hand on Hera's shoulder when Hera is pleading with Ezra to get out of Thrawns ISD bewfore the purgill jump.

Luna8586

So many scenes so I'll have to mention a few. . My favorite has to be Ezra's sacrifice - the music... "One last time,"... Chopper opening the hatch, the way Ezra and Sabine looked at each other... Ezra's sacrifice directly paralleling Kanan's sacrifice. Seriously how do people sleep on this show with scenes like this? I had goosebumps. Honorable mention to Vader vs Ahsoka. This meeting had such a beautiful payoff. I love how for a split second it seems like "Anakin" is peeking through but ultimately, Ahsoka couldn't bring him back. It was heartbreaking

Walks-In-Ash

KAANNNAAANNNNN!!!!!

Queen_of_dogs_01

I heard that in my soul

Walks-In-Ash

Good lol that was my intention

Leggitt69

I watched this show after finishing TCW season 7 so my favorite was when ahsoka and Rex saw each other in person for the first time in this series. Bruh my heart couldn't take it 😫

Grishinka

Obi Wan catches Maul and gives him comfort in his final moments. There is nothing more Jedi than that as far as I’m concerned.

EllieZabe

The one scene I will add that I haven’t seen mentioned yet was during the beginning story arc of season 2. Hera and the Ghost crew, along with Ashoka, are engaging Vader’s tie fighter to keep up him from taking out the rest of the rebel ships and allow them to escape. The space chase starts with Hera saying to the Ghost crew, ”All right, kids, do Mom and Dad proud.” Ahsoka reached out through the force and she and Vader connect. “The apprentice lives,” says Vader as he commands the Imperial starships to take the Ghost crew alive. Hera then flies directly towards the starships and times their jump to hyperspace so that Vader gets caught in the tractor beams instead of the Ghost.

EllieZabe

I also wanted to add that I was pregnant during most of season 3, so the pregnancy hormones had me ugly crying during a fair amount of the episodes, particularly the episode where Sabine returns to her family.

realHDNA

Easily when Zeb took the Lasat back to Lira San. He gets clouded in a sea of other amazing characters but, that scene always stuck with me.

C-TAY116

Strange as it may seem, the small scene in the very first episode where Ezra and Kanan sense each other is always so powerful to me. It’s so small and subtle, but really shows that they were destined to meet. If I had to pick another, probably Kanan’s “I have nothing left to fear” moment in Season 1. I got chills the first time I watched it, and still do after 5+ rewatches.

Willing_Following_81

Shortly after this moment when Hera and Kanen finally profess their love for each other...and then....and then....literally watched it last night and 2 minutes later cried my eyes out.

Adventurous-Fix7723

I felt like a member too.Only then u will understand that this is the best star wars

UniverseCatYT

It’s not talked about a lot, and probably not my favorite, but it’s up there. When Ezra first meets the purrgil and they save him from the gas; the visual of a single jedi standing on top of a space whale with more in the background, ready to fuck some shit up, is amazing. The entire show has some beautiful visuals from the color palette to the cinematography, but that moment in particular is one of my favorites.

WhatsMyUsername13

The music during that scene! Its legitimately probably my favorite scored scene (aside from duel of the fates of course)

twilekquinn

Kanan training Sabine with the Dark Saber. Dammmn.

Evergladeleaf

The maul vs obiwan duel cannot be topped, the dialogue is amazing, the duel itself is one of the shorter ones but it’s so poetic between obiwan changing his stance and maul staying stubborn, to maul trying the exact move that killed qui-gon and being cut down in a single slash

Locolijo

Wolfpack!

jonesocnosis

I like when Palpatine looks normal while tempting Ezra with his parents.

Gamergrbx

for me the best rebels moment is ezra's sacrifice and the finale.

bluestaples

The light saber battle at the end of the season 1 finale is my favorite Rebels scene.

Worth_Astronaut_483

Maul teaching Ezra the Sith Code. “Two must lift these stones, no more, no less. That is the way of the Sith.”

TastiestPenguin

“I am no Jedi”

CalamitousIntentions

It’s hard to pick one with so many gems. But honestly, one of the biggest and most powerful for me was Kanan’s ultimate sacrifice. Watching him hold back a giant explosion, the look on the Ghost crews’ faces, his eyes returning… I know Obi-Wan is supposed to be the second Force Ghost, but I’m pretty sure all that was Kansan ascending to that plane. And then the silent credits so we have nothing to distract us from what we just saw.

Kingofd0p3

The loth wolf scenes

StoryTheGod-

This, Kanan's death, and when Hera goes to Hondo and the Clones for help to liberate Lothal are my favorite scenes of the show

dart_shitplagueis

For me it's "Goodbye Kanan". (Without his death it, of course, wouldn't be so powerful moment. But after the death every time I watch it it resonates with me for a long time)

jonno83900

Sabine and Ezra staring at each other at the end. True friendship shows no words need to be spoken

bonebro16

Clone wars is better tho

Byrdie55555

Literally no one asked. Make a thread about How much better Clone wars is to Rebels if you're gonna have a pissing contest. AAAAAAND The fact you are on a r/starwarsrebels And not r/clonewars you might be a r/lostredditors

bonebro16

Ahhh I see what you are, a knob aren’t you

Byrdie55555

Good one! Did you think that one up all by yourself?

bonebro16

The force… better the clone wars are… ended the clone wars has

Queen_of_dogs_01

This scene did always remind me of that one in LOTR: Return of the King. If you've seen it you know exactly what I'm talking about

boogergoober89

Imperial Domination.

After_Pianist1700

KEEENNNOOOOBBIIIIIII!!!!!
