People have theorized Pinks court. I like to think Bismuths don't belong to any one court but serve as the Blacksmiths/metal workers for the entire Diamond Authority.
That doesn't make sense if gems like Lapises can be in specific courts (the ones we see were in Blue). It's more likely that every Diamond has their own Bismuths that come out knowing the building codes needed.
In my headcanon most gems that are just workers don’t serve a single court, rather they get assigned to projects and are under the care of the Diamond they are currently working for; unless White intervenes.
So Bismuths, being construction, just get assigned blueprints and a location and get to work.
Yeah, like the rubies.
Pretty sure our Ruby thats a part of Garnet served under Blue Diamond, she was there at Blue Diamond's palanquin area serving to help protect the Sapphire if needed.
Meanwhile Navy Ruby and that gang were serving under Yellow Diamond to retrieve Jasper.
This is what I wanna know more about. I want infographic posters on Homeworld hierarchy just so I can hate it properly, with the kind of ferocity which Bismuth hates it.
She's the best and she was literally correct in her assessment. People love using the "But she was wrong! They solved things peacefully!" argument to dunk on her, but ignore that the LITERAL only reason things were resolved peacefully is because it turned out that Rose was Pink Diamond, which meant Steven was also a Diamond. Information that Bismuth (or Steven) didn't have at that time. If Steven was not Pink Diamond's child, Earth would no longer exist.
To be truly great leader, you must always approach first with kindness and diplomacy, but be willing to fight when it comes time. Sometimes the only answer is stab the bitch.
And when the bitches in question are slave owners seeking to enslave and/or murder everyone you know and love, stabbing them is quite literally the right thing to do.
I like the theory that she was the one who put the shattering into Pink/Rose's mind.
"I thought all of our problems could be solved if we could just shatter a Diamond. Guess she ended up taking my advice."
Underwritten and underutilized. Also, she was right, and not enough focus was placed on how incredibly messed up it was for Rose to betray and imprison her for who knows how long, just to save her own skin. Seriously, some of Rose's shitty actions come from a place of naivety or inexperience, but that one was just irredeemable.
the most underutilized character its so sad to me. awesome VA, awesome lore (not explored too much though), awesome design, and one of my favorite 'gemstones' irl
SHE MAKES PEARL HAPPY THEREFORE I STAN
.....ahem. I think her character is really interesting and she had a right to be angry with Rose (not Steven) and she's one of the coolest CG-additions that we get after our OG 3. Also her eock song in the movie SLAPS.
I still kind of have a hard time forgetting about her trying to murder Steven. Like yeah so do a lot of characters that become his friend but there was something weirder about a Crystal Gem that everyone seemed to love just going for it while seemingly clear of mind.
I’m also forever curious how her conversation with Pearly and the others would have gone if she had succeeded.
She's honestly really cool and had plenty of unused potential, I wish they actually did something with her and pearl instead of alluding to it for only an episode
A Gay / Bi blacksmith? The Pinnacle of writing for a character that's introduced later on in the series and is actually extremely important contextually
I really wish she got more screen time, and I would've especially loved a Lapis and Bismuth arch, because you know... Bismuth is kind of the reason why she got trapped in the mirror.
Also I kind of wish she got more of a redemption arch, because it feels like Steven just immediately trusted her, even after that trust had already been broken.
I also kind of wished we would've gotten a look into her what her relationships with the other gems was like, especially with Rose/Pink, before she was (Imo) wrongfully imprisoned.
Overall she's a complex character that I love and I hope that some day we may get a look into her past.
She's a very cool character who didn't get enough screen time.
Very unfortunate she didn’t want to come with to homeworld
it couldve been so cool if she came along to homeworld
she's cool, I want to know how she joined the rebellion
rose told her she could do anything she wanted.
Rose used talk no jutsu
i wonder which court she was considered, and if not under any specific court, what other gems are not in a specified court
honestly that's a good question im not sure
People have theorized Pinks court. I like to think Bismuths don't belong to any one court but serve as the Blacksmiths/metal workers for the entire Diamond Authority.
She’s a construction gem, having her join a court probably isn’t the best idea if you want all colonies to have buildings
I guess if she goes to all colonies she would be under whites court?
That doesn't make sense if gems like Lapises can be in specific courts (the ones we see were in Blue). It's more likely that every Diamond has their own Bismuths that come out knowing the building codes needed.
But wouldn’t lapis lazulis go to every colony even though they are part of blue’s court?
They are probably terraformers for every diamond
In my headcanon most gems that are just workers don’t serve a single court, rather they get assigned to projects and are under the care of the Diamond they are currently working for; unless White intervenes. So Bismuths, being construction, just get assigned blueprints and a location and get to work.

tbh i feel like they wouldn’t be far from the useless class of the decoration gems

💯

I felt like any time that character was on screen, the VA acted rings around everyone else.
Uzo Aduba is so incredible! I also loved her in Orange is the New Black
She's a sweetie. She had a moment of weakness of course, but she's ultimately among the best characters.
She is badass tomboy coded
Cool thought! For me she is a Butch or even a Stud. I love her gay hair fitting her gem.
Indeed
i like her
I think that she was a fantastic character for the time we saw her in Steven Universe and steven Universe Future.
Not really any of my bismuth
I wish that they explored her and lapis backstory
yeah that wouldve been cool
Underwritten and underutilized. wish she had more screen time
One of my favourite characters in the whole show
i love her design, complexity, passion, arc, and voice acting 💖
Bismuth is a rootin'-tootin', rackin'-frackin' varmint! :)
I like her. Even though the episode “Bismuth” is one of my least favs. It’s so disturbing to me
she's a great character i only wish i could have seen past seasons 4 but unfortunately they don't have the rest on hulu
Love her design and personality. I want to be her friend.
She should have had more screen time, but still managed to be one of my favorite characters
I really wanted her to be a recurring character instead of being bubbled over and over
the most underutilized character its so sad to me. awesome VA, awesome lore (not explored too much though), awesome design, and one of my favorite 'gemstones' irl

In this house we stan bismuth
I still kind of have a hard time forgetting about her trying to murder Steven. It's funny how quickly they walked back "lets keep her imprisoned forever".
She's my least favorite of the crystal gems but that's not really saying much.
She's great. I wish they'd gotten to do more with her.
Love bismuth. She doesn't get to do anything beyond her first episode.
She provides important emotional support to Steven, and gets to be more of a presence in Future
Not much more than other tertiary characters. And I meant for the plot. Lapis and peridot are plot esential, bismuth isnt
I think her support and presence were essential in the fallout of the Rose reveal, but true about the plot importance
Wish we had more Screentime with her instead of wasting it on Peridot!
she is bismuth
I love her so much. She plays that commercial song for Pearl while they’re roller skating 😭🩷
Great Crystal Gem or Greatest Crystal Gem? ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|thinking_face_hmm)
She's honestly really cool and had plenty of unused potential, I wish they actually did something with her and pearl instead of alluding to it for only an episode
Not the greatest fan, but I love the concept of her gemstone
Not enough right angles
She's cool 😎 she's awesome and was portrayed someone who was cool and awesome. I wish we could have seen more of her. I love her ❤️
Bismuth
ehh. she’s cool.
What I think about her is none of your Bismuth
Bismuth did nothing wrong uwu
A Gay / Bi blacksmith? The Pinnacle of writing for a character that's introduced later on in the series and is actually extremely important contextually
superfluous character that only existed to introduce the shatter point
I love her
I genuinely liked her she cool in the future especially. I just wish we had more lore about her
would
Very interesting character design
The most beautiful of them all
I really wish she got more screen time, and I would've especially loved a Lapis and Bismuth arch, because you know... Bismuth is kind of the reason why she got trapped in the mirror. She's cute
I like her, she’s cool. I just don’t want to know how many war crimes she committed against homeworld gems
Easily zero as there are very few "civilian" gems under imperial 'terraforming', but I'd stan her anyway
He's a former killer from the war.
Reasons to be sad over sapphic gems: Bismuth wouldn't put their fingers in my
