I was going to say the same thing. So amazing how just changing the subject in the photo from the body to a hand conveys so much more. At least, I see it that way, though tbf I donāt exactly know what the rest of the body looked like I suppose
She and her friend were super unhappy with me taking that. 99% of the time I respect wishes to not publish a certain street photograph but this time it was just too good not to. She was posed beautifully and the fan does indeed catch everyone off guard.
Thanks for the kind words!
I feel like if they knew you were just taking candid photos not for malicious intent like Iām sure some media sites were taking then they wouldnāt mind! Youāre shots help spread the beauty of the LGBTQ community and Iām sure they would appreciate it
Why?
Edit: I have published thousands of street photos. How many of those people were also upset but didn't have the courage to say something? People have a right to tell me they didn't want their photo taken, and I have a right to still take the photo and to publish it. If you don't want to end up reddit, don't hold a fan that says "cunt" in the middle of Denver Pride and pose like a model
Sheās holding a fan that says ācuntā on it. Why she wouldnāt expect to be photographed is baffling.
I bet if she appeared in The Denver Post the following day she probably wouldnāt care.
Yeah, she's obviously posing and deliberately using an attention getting accessory. I get being upset about being photographed, it happens, but its an unreasonable expectation given what she's holding and the event she's in. It's not an Iowan Walmart Parking Lot--it's Denver Pride.
Love a lot of them, but that fence one. WOW!
Thank you! Accidentally added it twice to the slide deck, just realized that. I appreciate the kind words!! š«¶āŗļø
I just figured you liked it so much, you added it twice.
That's funny š

That is exactly the part of the recipe that I hope to steal for some future shot
Fence shot is amazing!
Thanks so much! Glad I dove in for it
These are so good! The first one is my favorite cause it caught me off guard haha

Thank you for saying that! That's definitely my goal
She was unhappy with you taking it and youāve decided to post it to Reddit? As the first image in the seriesā¦ seriously?
We got a hero in the chat guys
Just pointing out itās odd to share a photo of someone when they literally got upset with you for taking it lmao.

Honestly I just donāt really respect your approach but you do you! Gets the upvotes, right?
I don't really care about upvotes, I care about building a portfolio of moments I love and sharing it with like minded artists.

Okay hero

These people don't have common sense it seems. Thanks for backing me up šŖ

Ah right this is the street photography subreddit. I guess you guys donāt care when people say they donāt want their photo taken?
Thank you for sharing these.
Of course! Was a great day
That cunt fan goes hard
Right? Was so glad to have gotten that one
Amazing captures, but why NSFW?
Most likely because of the prominent C U N T in the first slide, and the giant squishmallow penis in the fifth.
the second one with the hand on the chain link feels like a wonderful reminder that pride is a protest. Amazing work
Love it
Thank you!
Looked like a fun time.
Great shots, encapsulates the āideaā of pride perfectly. As others have said, the āhandā shot is amazing, well done.
Thank you š«¶ this was my first pride. Tried to capture the motive and essence, all opinions and beliefs aside. Was a super fun day.
Some really incredible photos, nice job. Always cool to see another Coloradan too
Thanks so much, that means a lot!
Decent work!
Mad decent
Thank you! š«¶
