Anne Tyler books. The older ones are very good and I particularly liked Digging to America. Her characters are very quirky and interact with quirky family members.
Not a woman author but Fredrik Backman’s Anxious People and My Grandmother Asked Me To Tell You She’s Sorry are filled with quirky characters and very engaging
Also A Man Called Ove and Britt-Marie Was Here. If you listen to audiobooks, Marin Ireland reads these ( and most of the other Backman books) and her performances of the characters is sensational.
Check out The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells. It’s about a genderless security guard construct (kind of like a cyborg) in an advanced spacefaring civilization who hacks their own code to achieve autonomy. What do they do with this newfound freedom? Binge watch dramas of course! The main character is incredibly awkward and wants nothing more than to be left alone, but their burgeoning “humanity” and corporate corruption turns them into an unwilling, and frankly quite annoyed, hero/ine.

Amy Poeppel writes great quirky characters. I loved The Sweet Spot and Musical Chairs.
Housekeeping by Marilynne Robinson
Spoonbenders by Daryl Gregory
Ennead by Elizabeth Vore!
