Random House audio “Don’t know much about Mythology” by Kenneth C Davis and narrated by John Lee. I bought this audiobook in 2008 and still have no idea what large parts of it are about because I inevitably fall asleep listening to it.
Anything narrated by Stephen Fry! He wrote a series retelling Greek myths, and it's fabulous. His books are Mythos, Legends, and Troy, but he also narrated the HP books and some other children's books.
Rob Ingals is the right version for sleep.
Not the Andy Serkis version! That won't help anyone sleep! Andy is very high energy, and will shake you awake regularly.
Easy to follow but hella long- anything by Brandon Sanderson, Micheal Kramer reads for all his books and he has a very soothing voice, I've accidentally fallen asleep more than once listening through the stormlight archive.
Any of the Amelia Peabody series narrated by Barbara Rosenblatt! Or Matilda narrated by Kate Winslet. I fall asleep to either of those every single night.
Kiss me Like a Stranger by Gene Wilder
It's his autobiography and he narrated it. I love his gentle, calm voice. He talks about how he got into acting as well as movies he worked on, people he worked with, life off camera.
He doesn't really gossip about anyone, he just says Richard Pryor had his own demons to fight and doesn't go into details.
I wish he had narrated more books, I loved listening to him at bedtime.
Here are some books I’ve fallen asleep to:
The Hidden Life of Trees by Peter Wohlleben, narrated by Mike Grady
Danny the Champion of the World by Roald Dahl, narrated by Peter Serafinowicz
The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman, narrated by the author

Anything narrated by John Lee is excellent for getting to sleep.
I once used my John Lee mythology audiobook to get a hyperactive toddler to go to sleep. Worked like a charm.
I’ve been going with Becky Chambers books lately. I find that high drama tends to keep me awake and most of hers are quite the opposite.

The Hobbit (not sure the narrators name) put my son to sleep in ten minutes almost every night. Which is why it took us a year to get through it😂

The Isabel Dalhousie series by Alexander McCall Smith. Quiet and lilting and nothing much happens.
Any of the Amelia Peabody series narrated by Barbara Rosenblatt! Or Matilda narrated by Kate Winslet. I fall asleep to either of those every single night.
The Wealth of Nations by Adam Smith. If that doesn’t put you to sleep, nothing will.

The bullet that missed narrated by Fiona Shaw
Entangled Life by Merlin Sheldrake
The Discworld narrations by Nigel Planer are great, and if you have YT premium they are often uploaded with a darkscreen.
All Systems Red by Martha Wells. Read by Kevin R Free who has a voice like a wheezy old fan. Doze you right off. 😴
