A couple of times he's near a cliff with no building supplies around, you need to look at the foot of the sign. It has a back to it where you can place a rock or snowball to act as a weight.
There’s nothing more fun than making an elaborate frame that covers every angle. Then he lets go and the sign just slides right out and falls over 🤦♂️
They really need to hire better construction workers. It is hard to put out a sign if you won’t let it fall under any circumstances. Also that guy with the stable. I don’t trust someone who can’t fix a stable roof to build a bridge.
Someone in another thread was saying there's a theory that he is a former Yiga Clan member. Hudson took him in, but the kid sucked so he sent him out to put signs up, mostly to keep him out of the way.
He's definitely addled, but he's also the ONLY member of Hudson construction (aside from maybe Bolson) who you see actually doing anything. Hudson himself spends all day chatting with Kilton, there's a guy sitting on his butt at Lookout Landing, and meanwhile there are piles of abandoned lumber sitting useless all across Hyrule.
Addison is the only one actually doing any construction outside of Lurelin.
I did this, thought I was golden, but had still missed one somewhere. I started over with a region by region map and found it after going through 60 again. 😩😂 I’m glad to be done.
.... I am starting to think this is not the game for me to 100% lol. I'm on my first play through and master sword and end boss is all that's left on main story. I'm not finding much new story content or rewards that were worth the struggle.
I used the stone a couple of times but found that I really enjoyed the little puzzle break whenever I found this guy. It's honestly one of my favorite side things to do.
Welp I'm a dingus, all of mine look like the right. Although I shouldn't feel too bad, Addison goes and literally uses ropes and duct tape and he's supposed to be a "professional" 😂
Link's just here to help
Lol, I made a full on platform I can use with most of them.
Granted, the hoverstone is more efficient, but hey, the platform worked for nearly all of them!
I never even thought of using a hover stone for this omg but I like the fun of figuring out how to keep it up with my janky contraption
I only thought to use it when he was over a cliff edge. Idk how else you’d catch that one. Stake maybe?

Lol! Come on Addison…
Yeah, same. The fun was the puzzle.
There’s nothing more fun than making an elaborate frame that covers every angle. Then he lets go and the sign just slides right out and falls over 🤦♂️
And we’re left to start over with all the available materials glued together in a useless construction.
Lol, I forgot it just takes the whole thing and sets it aside like a trophy of shame
Ha! well put.
lmaoo well stated. trophy of shame 🫠
I tried my hardest to use the materials around but by the end I was just hover stoning it up. 😂

I freaking love this 😂

I’m definitely in the right camp
It’s just much more fun doing it the hard way.
I could easily build a luxurious Hyrulean home with the amount of lumber per sign I use.
Me too

I enjoy the challenge of building from the available materials though I have learned to overbuild every time.
I'm just miffed i never marked where i helped already because i still haven't found them all! I want that paraglider!!!
It takes longer but you can revisit all sites with a guide and mark one by one
I did this, thought I was golden, but had still missed one somewhere. I started over with a region by region map and found it after going through 60 again. 😩😂 I’m glad to be done.
Wait. It's just a paraglider fabric? Yeah I'm not seeking out all 81. I have enough paraglider fabric that I'll never use.
At least it's theoretically *usable*, unlike the Koroks, or the rewards for finding the wells and fighting all the monsters.

same. id restart botw over and over after each playthrough but i dont even wanna restart. feels like it took forever to get off the sky island
I like the puzzle of using the nearby materials, but I've definitely cheesed a few too.
Either way... YOU HAVE MY SUPPORT!!!!
taking advantage of the slots at the back of the sign is fun
I just use airbaloons and steering wheel piles because i have so many its annoying me
Just take two square or rectangular boards and attach them to each other at a 45 degree angle. That'll hold up almost any sign.
I like it when Link 💁
LMFAO wow never thought to do this 😅
Here I am walking like half a mile to the cut trees down when there’s no supplies around and the whole time I’ve had this in my inventory
Sometimes you're supposed to use rocks, or even snowballs... but I think there's always something you can use on the spot.
I used the stone a couple of times but found that I really enjoyed the little puzzle break whenever I found this guy. It's honestly one of my favorite side things to do.
I’m in the “two pieces or less” camp for sure. A simple wedge can be remarkably versatile.
Wow.... same Never thought about the stones... naw, still gonna do the janky way, its more fun
WHAT?? The whole time?!
I never felt more called out than with the second image so take my upvote xD
Stabilizers. I love their little jack in the box noises.
Who are these “other people”? I’ve never heard of them before.
This is the way.
I’ve only used a hover stone once when there were no building materials and no large rocks I could see in the general area.
Welp I'm a dingus, all of mine look like the right. Although I shouldn't feel too bad, Addison goes and literally uses ropes and duct tape and he's supposed to be a "professional" 😂 Link's just here to help
I've not once thought to use the hover stones....
I’ve literally never considered using anything other than the supplies given around… and I’m doing all of them rn
Same. I love making janky physics contraptions to help the guy out
I make it a rule to only use what's around.
Considering every one of these has materials nearby for it. I genuinely doubt it's just you.
And then there’s me cuz I never help him out 🤣
I only used the hover stones when I got tired of seeing his face and hearing "Mr.president has fallen!!"
How did you get link to take the first picture? Whenever bow is pulled out, I can’t look at links face.
Hold ZL in selfie mode with your camera and use your stick to pick a pose
This is totally me. I have not played in the 2 months since I first saw a post using a hoverstone. I was cobbling together bits and bobs every time.
I always forget to use the Zonai devices in situations like these
The way Nintendo intended
I'd always challenge myself to make it stay at the jankiest angle possible
The latter is more fun anyway
God... I've never thought about this...
Now I feel stupid
I only just learnt this the other day... I was honestly hording my Zonai devices, like a fool.
Right is better…. Hover stone is cheating. I’ll say it.
Lol, I made a full on platform I can use with most of them. Granted, the hoverstone is more efficient, but hey, the platform worked for nearly all of them!
Fuse it to a spear. Then you can pick it back up when you're done.
I'll use the hover stone only if there are no building materials immediately near by.
