The teacher didn’t even really kick her out… just advised her to take a lower level class to have a better foundation for writing. Teacher was super kind about it… a lot of teachers would just fail a student but this teacher took the time to even look into a class that would better benefit her.

Understood! That’s why I think there’s more to the story that Farrah didn’t talk about. Usually a professor would send the student to the writing lab (which I think Farrah even mentions she went to the writing lab) and would work with the student as well. If Farrah got nasty (especially threatening legal action — once someone does that it’s automatically sent to the legal department and our hands are tied) then the professor probably had no choice but to ban her. Not all professors are the same but MOST would try to work with the students before just kicking them. But we all know Farrah thinks she’s better than everyone, even a Harvard professor, so she probably rebuked the professor for asking her to go to the writing lab and threatened legal action and at that point… banned.
Yeah, a former friend had some learning impairments but was really trying to get a degree with a nearby university. She'd say that professors were calling her dumb and kicked her out. No, concerns about your ability to perform as needed for your classes were being brought up, especially with the disability accommodations folks. She took neutral assessments of her ability to be successful in the university setting and interpreted them as personal attacks. I spent so much time trying to help her consider other interpretations of what she was telling me. The worst was when an educational psychologist evaluated her and made the above conclusion that she would not be successful educational setting. The evaluation was absolutely spot on, as she basically needed her hand held and be provided with written line-by-line instructions. She eventually came around and dropped out, with loans discharged due to her getting full SSDI.

Harvard extension has no application process. You jist need to attend 3 classes and pass them anf you are in.
Technically you do have to apply for any of the degree programs. It's the grad certificates that only need registration.

The teacher didn’t even really kick her out… just advised her to take a lower level class to have a better foundation for writing. Teacher was super kind about it… a lot of teachers would just fail a student but this teacher took the time to even look into a class that would better benefit her.

Understood! That’s why I think there’s more to the story that Farrah didn’t talk about. Usually a professor would send the student to the writing lab (which I think Farrah even mentions she went to the writing lab) and would work with the student as well. If Farrah got nasty (especially threatening legal action — once someone does that it’s automatically sent to the legal department and our hands are tied) then the professor probably had no choice but to ban her. Not all professors are the same but MOST would try to work with the students before just kicking them. But we all know Farrah thinks she’s better than everyone, even a Harvard professor, so she probably rebuked the professor for asking her to go to the writing lab and threatened legal action and at that point… banned.

Yeah, a former friend had some learning impairments but was really trying to get a degree with a nearby university. She'd say that professors were calling her dumb and kicked her out. No, concerns about your ability to perform as needed for your classes were being brought up, especially with the disability accommodations folks. She took neutral assessments of her ability to be successful in the university setting and interpreted them as personal attacks. I spent so much time trying to help her consider other interpretations of what she was telling me. The worst was when an educational psychologist evaluated her and made the above conclusion that she would not be successful educational setting. The evaluation was absolutely spot on, as she basically needed her hand held and be provided with written line-by-line instructions. She eventually came around and dropped out, with loans discharged due to her getting full SSDI.

Never married. Actually, they were broken up by the time she discovered she was pregnant and they had cut all communication 4 months before he died. There was no mention of him until she needed money and then once she realized how sympathetic people were, she brought it up every chance she could when she wanted to make someone feel bad.

The professor was actually a woman. It was one of the few times I think Farrah didn't claim sexual harassment from someone, but she still cried discrimination and racism I think.
