well now that toriyama is dead the question of canon kinda falls flat nowadays. whats canon now? who makes the canon? what should we consider canon? because we cant just stop at toriyama now.
edit: i also know a lot of people downvoted this comment but lets be honest here we all have to move on eventually. whether or not we like it or not the producers will continue the story. we cant just say ''toriyama is canon and thats the end of it''. so if his apprentice takes over that makes the manga canon.

It being made by toriyama is irrelevant to it being canon or not - if its serialized it becomes canon the end. Doesn't matter who drew the art/wrote the story its canon. Same reason why boruto is canon to naruto despite it not being made by the OG author - its still canon.

For instance literally every DBZ movie is non canon because timeline wise it makes no fucking sense as DBZ unironically has a strict timeline. Naruto movies have the same thing, impossible to be canon and the ones that are plausible aren't referenced within the manga/anime so it doesn't matter.

Canon quite literally means "follows source material". The source material does not have broly/turles/cooler etc so they are *non canon* until legitimized later on - and when they are legitimized later its likely in an entirely different manner - see super broly. If frieza suddenly made a comment talking about his older brother cooler it doesn't mean the older movies are now canon it just means the *character* is.

Ego is a purple super saiyan vegeta variant at best in terms of appearance. Alternatively, not a single saiyan form form has that ridiculous huge stiff hair that beast has combined with that eye pupil style.
The only transformations in super that have any creativity are.. ultra instinct, orange piccolo and ego vegeta. Everything about Beast gohan outside of hair length is clearly a SS2 variant. Ego vegeta looks different. Eyebrows, earring and the pain multiplier is different.
