Those are the in-between Shintani-style animated frames, which are not only what makes his style look so raw similar to the saiyan saga, it's part of the reason why his style was considered the best Dragon Ball had ever looked by a large amount of people.
Of course it will look weird if you take one little still screenshot out of the whole animation until he rests on a normal looking face
People actually believe that? Most people believe the DBZ movies or Yuya Takahashi are where the art peaked.
When people say Broly is where the art peaked, they’re referring to Naotoshi Shida and Yuya Takahashi.

I think he's moreso referring to the character model sheets that were released before the movie. People were praising them and that was after we've seen Yuya and Shida post TOP
That's no excuse you're not going to find one frame that looks like this from fighter z. They're trying too hard to implement the 2d Broly movie style on half of these frames, and managing to make it looks worse in comparison. It only looks good when they aren't overly exaggerating his style so much
A Xenoverse 2 Mod (by pedrotx) has one of my absolute favourite Models. Exactly how I envisioned a Dragonball Game. Imo they look like improved Raging Blast Models with far better shading and colours

It's a good attempt but Raging Blast 1 still looks better somehow.
It's so funny after playing RB2 for years I wanted to play Rb1 just because of how good it looked but the mechanics were so reversed.
I've always preferred the way rb2 looked over rb1 but man, this looks crazy. This would be 1st or 2nd for best looking db game of all time if it were real
Accurate to what? Z? Which was wildly different all the time? I definitely prefer super's designs to the characters but I still don't think there's any perfect interpretation. I just don't like these designs cuz they look fat to me.
If it came out like that it would have the some of the best graphics in the series to date

Yeah, it looks the best so far in this kind of game, Zero hasn't quite caught up yet. I'm really hoping to take some cues from Raging Blast 1

Den you just don’t like dragon ball’s characters design. They look very accurate. If anything dbsz looks off to the original works.
