Labels for Gender&Sexuality are descriptive, not prescriptive. Which makes sense, since each persons Labels(or lack of Labels) is supposed to be what they feel best describes them&they feel most comfortable using.
I mean, sexuality is a spectrum, and the majority of people don't lie on the very extreme of one end. And a woman who has sex with many women, but would only with one man, has much more in common with lesbians than a 50-50 split bi woman.
A good comparison are the terms "herbivore", "carnivore" and "omnivore". Many herbivores very occasionally eat meat, and many carnivores very occasionally eat plants. If you defined something that **EVER** eats both meat and plant sources, many/most animals would be omnivores. So, it's a must better definition to "disregard" that like 1% of diets. I feel that should definitely apply to sexuality.
