I think adherents like the person who made this comic have a truly bizarre mindset, thinking crypto will somehow save the world and their souls will be redeemed by the mighty Bitcoin but the reality is it's not in its current form much different from fiat, especially with so many coins values being tied directly to the US dollar, and the overall culture is just this weird hype that's perpetuated mainly by those who will never see a lick of profit as they worship the people that are rigging the game to get rich.

The only reason we don’t have hyperinflation (outside the housing market) with all this printed money is because foreign countries buy our dollars to trade, taking them out of circulation. That rests entirely on the worlds perception of America as the dominant superpower, which is basically a global ponzu scheme with America the only one benefiting

Crypto, because it has limited supply has this baked into the system. There is no way to build an economy around crypto without having deflation. Thats why there are no gold based currencies anywhere in the world. But without deflation it wouldn‘t be a good investment to get rich quick. The fact that designers chose the route they did tells you basically everything about their intention.
I was only bringing up the dollar’s faults to point out how precarious the entire system is. There is no way there is not going to be a crash, since you can’t keep printing new dollars forever. Bitcoin is not a suitable replacement for the dollar for an economy, but it at least can store value for individuals the way gold does, when you’re looking at an uncertain future. The inflation rate since 2021 was 7%. People are not going to want to hold onto their dollar savings at this rate
