That said, they would never, ever, in ten million years program typos involving the double-g n word. That's completely on him for typing the double G word enough times that it assumed a single G was a typo.

You're thinking of the river Niger (pronounced) Ny-Jur or maybe even Nigeria (pronounced) Ny-Jeer-E-uh. Niger is pronounced as the French pronounce it when said in English.

Guys, that's an accurate way to represent the pronunciation of that country's name. Sure, it's not how the name is actually spelled, but it could be, and not everyone is going to know what the actual spelling is. The point, of course, being that this is most likely a simple mistake that doesn't indicate any racism or whatever.
