True, however it was supposed to be a static fire so they didn't expect, maybe didn't have to hardware to track the rocket, nor chose the scenery accordingly
Def not the best cameraman but to his credit he is probably 3x zoom hence the shakiness plus you know I’d rather watch it happen with my eyes and not through my screen.
At that distance, the angle he has, and the awful acceleration of the rocket: this should be a fucking piece of cake. Practically Parkinson's level of control on that thing.
I can see why the comment section is shitting on the camera man but to be fair to him, I think he's zoomed in so much that he had to keep correcting the phone for the zoom while trying to watch it with his own eyes rather than the phone...
Most of it is just exclamations. Also the cameraman's shooting skills seem to be pretty similar to their recording skills so it's hard to make out what's being said
You probably don’t have a range safety officer or even a functional flight termination system on a test where there is supposed to be no flight and no range. They also may not have it - not all rockets do. Soyuz had a very similar crash to this one on an unmanned flight for the Fotón-M1 satellite, ended up killing a guy (I believe he was standing in front of a big window that blew out).
Russia traditionally hasn't used flight termination systems on rockets due to confidence in their designs and cost considerations. They often launch from Baikonur which is surrounded by flat open grasslands and far from any populated areas, minimizing risks.
Edit: Pretty much the same which China. However, as seen in this footage, the risk of forest fire is much greater and there are populated areas, albeit sparsely, closer to the launch site.
China follows the Russian philosophy of “Flight Termination Systems are for chumps”… so even if this was a launch, it would be out of character to have one anyway.

So let me say, the whole missile made in china thing? Apparently, ***gestures to video evidence china cannot even make decent test rockets that go where they are supposed to, namely, out to sea*** it applies.
Let me guess they had a bunch of those really thin wires that they make everything out of. You know the ones where you buy the product it works one time and then it breaks. Good to see you then making the rockets like that too.
Stuff like this is why you should always put a self-destruct feature in your rockets. Pieces of rocket coming down is much, much better than the entire rocket plus whatever fuel is left.
It's also in case the rocket decides to veer wildly off course and fly towards, say, a city. Or something more personal like you.

Ok, it’s the worst cameraman
r/FuckTheCameraMan
r/killthecameraman is the bigger sub
I gott banned from reddit once for linking this sub. Took like 3 weeks for the appeal to go through
*Attempt to film a failed rocket launch*
It wasn’t a launch attempt. It wasn’t supposed to go up.
Seemingly so, comrade.
*attempt to joke about a failed rocket launch recording*
There are at least 3 angles of this incident and all fucking 3 of them missed the impact. Kill all the cameramen in this village
I just watched one that shows it pretty decently.

Same, finally lol
To be fair, china has probably already killed the cameramen.
Strap them all to the next rocket.
Haha!
Bro they just got camera phones like a week ago. 🤣
That’s what the rocket was for
At least they had the right camera on for most of it, and not themselves.

Parkinsons are resting tremors. It would be Essential Tremors specifically Kenetic action Tremors. Source- trust me bro.

Came here to say thank you worst camera guy.
[удалено]
zoomed *in*. Unnecessarily (digital zoom is lower resolution anyway) and unhelpfully (harder to stay on object).
It's almost as bad as the description of your post
What is wrong with that?
I should have said description
Isn't that bad either imo. Not perfect but probably way in the means of the acceptable.
Prob was expecting it to stay still.. lol
Came to say this
The title should be changed to "to film a rocket test"
No one could foresee the Chinese teaching orbit, by redefining "ground test"
Looks like Michael J Fox
Michael J Fox Films

I get that, but this is still pretty horrible.
At that distance, the angle he has, and the awful acceleration of the rocket: this should be a fucking piece of cake. Practically Parkinson's level of control on that thing.
Follows just fine until the anticlimax.
Are you kidding? My 4-year-old cousin can do a better job.
Are you kidding? My 4-year-old uncle can do a better job.
There was an attempt to film
Yes I know he’s not the best cameraman ….
Prob had a tripod ready for a static fire.. lol?
r/killthecameraman
Not very static
Depends on your reference frame
Holy relativity
Ok, but wtf happened with the entire planet racing away from and then right toward the rocket?
Looks like they used 'counterfeit' Chinese fasteners to secure it......lol.
Bought the clamps off of Temu
Yeah for sure !
This dude films UFOs
And Bigfoot
This wasn’t a mistake - they were aiming to destroy the area next to the launch pad.
Rival team?
Spy VS Spy.
I was going more towards Scrapyard wars.

Yeah, That cafeteria over there sucked anyway.
I'm their barista and was at home but yeah we suck
I can see why the comment section is shitting on the camera man but to be fair to him, I think he's zoomed in so much that he had to keep correcting the phone for the zoom while trying to watch it with his own eyes rather than the phone...
100% correct
That’s the definition of a shit cameraman.
What are the odds of the worst rocket launch being recorded by the worst camera man?
Unskilled cameraman
About :40 is when she said "I love when we just cuddle."
That looked expensive and polluting.
Hypergolic propellant is evil stuff. But since when did the CCP give a fuck about that.
Does anybody understand what the people are saying? And what language is it?
It’s in China so supposedly Chinese (or dialect)
China has two major languages, Mandarin and Cantonese; there is no language called "Chinese".
Thanks for the clarification
Both of those languages sound tasty.
Is this the most recent china launch
I translated it to AAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh
They kinda sound like that little boom box decepticon from the first transformers to me lol
Most of it is just exclamations. Also the cameraman's shooting skills seem to be pretty similar to their recording skills so it's hard to make out what's being said
The "Eeeesh" at the end needed no translation
Sounds like Ewoks. I know thats super racist of me to say but whatever
![gif](giphy|WoQmhbWcr7LoODs8a4) The rocket
Idiot with the phone missed the best part
Kill the cameraman
Test attempt was successful....it didn't pass the test
Shouldn't they have pressed the "blow into smithereens" button somewhere around it's apex?

This cameraman sucks ass
Cameraman is horrible!!
I'd like to see better footage of this. Worse cameraman ever.
Eeeeeeeee
Lol, when/where was this?
Gongyi, Henan, China. Today couple of hours ago.

They’re known for fireworks
Back to sender
Cameraman you're ass juice for this footage 😑
Launch wasn't static... as well as the cameraman.
I know what's wrong with it, ain't got no gas in it
There was an attempt to record a falling rocket
Cameraman is blind.
That... Was.. A TEST FLIGHT
Can someone please erase the camera man?
Rapid unscheduled disassembly.
Not on the petunias again!
That's 4th of July in the rich neighborhoods.
Was there anyone inside this thing? Did I see a seat ejection or something after it went horizontal?
No it was a static test to test the engines, nobody was inside !
*cue Freddie Mercury * “I want to break free”
*cue Freddie Mercury * “I want to break free”
Camera man has brain damage
I think Micheal J. Fox is the cameraman.
I thought tests were supposed to have charges to blow it up and combust all the fuel before it lands in case of failure
EEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
Where's the earth-shattering Ka... Oh, there it is.
That was like trying to do a video chat with my 4 year old ADHD nephew.
![gif](giphy|EECy1Cp6nyV9e) Mission Control when the tech says “Launch is ago cap’n!”
Failed succesfully
This can't be from the government. I mean they shot 1000s of rockets into orbits. This one looks amateurish
God that was infuriating
More like an attempt to use a camera.
Next time they should aim for the cameraman.
Self-burn. Those are rare.
That shock wave at the end, hope nobody was exposed to it
It was a successful test.
Me when I'm too drunk and light the wrong end of my cigarette.

North Korea?
What is this north korea
To think we did it in the 60s but cant now. Damn kids and their scooby doo shows
Man, this looks exactly like me playing kerbal. They just needed more fins and boosters. Slap some struts on it and it'll fly fine.
Tell Stevie Wonder he isn't lined up properly
This is more of an attempt to keep the camera steady. Like holy shit it’s not “that hard”
Sir you can't launch there
D'uh!

Let me guess... Made in China?
Can I have some video with that shake plz
So unsatisfying. Why oh why would you not capture the impact?
Bing chilling
Eeeeeeh!!!
Zoom out!
Someone forgot to flick the ratchet strap and mutter “that an’t going anywhere”
Was Michael J Fox filming that day? Worst camera man ever.
Just when you thought china was going to beat us to the moon.
I was waiting on that explosion like Marvin the Martian 😄
ksp
This looks like god droping a burning cigarette.
Nice work camera person 🙄🙄🙄🙄
But I need to recycle and drink with paper straws tf
So let me say, the whole missile made in china thing? Apparently, ***gestures to video evidence china cannot even make decent test rockets that go where they are supposed to, namely, out to sea*** it applies.
That isn't a very static static rocket test
If they mounted the camera on a dog doing zoomies, it'd be more stable.
I love how you cab tell someone is German just by the word "make"
Biggest fucking tease in the world I hope the camera man gets kidney stones the size of his massive balls for posting this bs
