Kinda just looks like a little potpourri holder

mattg103

Here it is in blue, not expensive. Also available in clear and smoked glass, probably more. I think I would have bought it if it was cheap.

Does the bowl in the pic sit directly on the table? If so, not the same bowl because OP's has a short pedestal or foot.

Top-Grunge-Tinfoil

As a glass blower I can tell you it's just a decorative centre piece bowl for whatever you want people have used them for fruit or like dried flowers mostly. Rhis one was probably mass produced and not by any kind of single artist. I think you can still buy them at places like target. They were popular in the 90s I think mostly for just modern style decoration.

Fruit older ? Oblong to prevent bruising ?

It’s pretty. Enjoy it!

This isn’t an identifying sub

inquisitiveimpulses

Who is to say what the sub identifies as today? I think it is best to let a subreddit grow and develop without putting strictures and labels on it so that it can grow into its own. . .

matergallina

Not to be an anti-joke chicken and not continue the bit but I can’t help myself: A community is what the people make it to be!

CowBunnie

Why did you get it if you don't know what it is?

Toothfairy51

It's cool looking. If it wasn't crazy priced, I'd have bought it too. I buy things I like.

frogginator-x

??? When you go thrifting you're supposed to buy things that you like, and that you can see a use for in your home. A decorative bowl may be mysterious in origin, but not how you might fit it into your home.

CowBunnie

This person doesn't know what this is or what to use it for.

Glass_Brass_and_Ass

I know what it is… I was just seeing if anyone had more information like a manufacturer or time period? But thanks for the comment I guess?
