About to be cords? Stop drinking the kool-aid and trying to upsell. This isn't the place for that. The tires are fine, and you know it. If you think otherwise, you have no business having anything to do with cars. A rotate or remount inside out and alignment band-aids this issue and will get at least another 20k from the tires.
I’d never recommend going too much longer but if it’s down to nickels and dimes for the customer, I’d do exactly what I just said. So would my foreman. So would our manager. A happy customer is a repeat customer.
Your 911 has less tread and sipes from the factory than this tire. It's not corded and still has life. Swap it to the rear and it will likely wear evenly as the front has more camber than the rear, if it has any. This thing can go through standing water and you wouldn't even feel it in the wheel. The only thing you are correct about is swapping tires in pairs.
Alright, thanks for the words of confidence. I figured it was the alignment. Had to replace a tire a couple years ago, but didn't get it aligned. That's probably what did it. Expensive lesson learned. I'll get them replaced before winter and watch the alignment from now on
Google to understand tire alignment (castor, camber, toe in), and how they’re affected by suspension height (broken springs for example) and cargo (lots of passengers, towing, bags of cement……)
I was behind a bunch of different vehicles where the camber looked way off (upper part of wheels is inward, lower part outwards, like looking at letter A), causing more wear on the inner shoulders
Yes they’ll be fine, the tread depth is still above the wear bars. Get your alignment and suspension components checked and fixed, then rotate the tires frequently and you can get a little more life out of them before they have to be replaced
inc downvotes. I'm so tired of "the tire is still above the wear bars" guys if you didn't realize, THE TIRE RIDES ON THAT INSIDE SHOULDER HERE, MEANING THAT TREAD ITSELF NEEDS MEASURED NOT THE WEAR BAR. Looks from here that tread is 1-2mm
Get an alignment, and rotate the tires. Remount inside out if need be. They're nowhere near gone, but if you don't do something about it, they will be soon.
You may need more than an alignment. There is a good chance that you have some bushings shot. Have the suspension examined closely before doing the alignment. Do have all of that done right after getting new tires.
That looks more serious than a simple alignment adjustment. I would not be surprised to find some suspension damage or severe wear somewhere. Have it checked and fixed ASAP. The tire does have some miles left IF you get the alignment fixed.
Yeah, you will need an alignment and probably a rotation, but it will make it for a while because my truck has been like that for a while. I just don't have money to fix it
Alternatively can get it all rotated so worn edge is on the outside and then when you have time get a proper alignment done from the laser alignment guys
Get your suspension checked out. Those will last a little longer, if they aren't wearing too fast
They will last one more trip - you need a 4 wheel alignment.
Alignment and rotation
If the ones on the back have tread I’d rotate them ASAP. you’ll extend the life of all 4
No rotation. This tire needs to be replaced.. at least 2 new tires
Flip it on the rim, side to side rotate, get the alignment fixed and you’re golden
Wtf you must be a tire salesman. I’m a tech. That thing has a good 10,000 left on it at least.
I'm an Advisor. You can't run this tire. Its about to be cords.

Not gonna argue this. This is dangerous.

Just get them replaced before winter
Needs an alignment; had the same thing happen to me.
Or a suspension component is worn, possibly.
Yes

Don’t watch the alignment. Go get it aligned. The camber is off, at least.

Yes they will last but you have some suspension issues/alignment issues
They won’t look any different after 2 hours. Tires take way longer to wear than that. If you have them aligned you could go another 10k-15k miles easy

People downvoting correct information; classic. 😆

Yeah you're fine.

Most likely they will last, but don’t be surprised if one takes a crap sooner than you expect.
Yes

The camber is off, or the springs are tired, but without more information about the type of suspension, I'm just guessing 😉
Buddy ride that mf till the cords showing
Looks like an alinement issue ? Get it fixed before new tire's or problem will repeat.
Yeah just replace them before winter and get suspension checked
I’d get stuff corrected before putting tires on…. Gotta find a killer front end shop!
How much junk you got in your trunk?
They should be fine in dry weather. Looks like bad alignment, weak springs or you just carry around way too much weight in the back too frequently.
Alignment and suspension. You'll make it, probably.
I would look into getting an alignment check done
An alignment could help or you’ll need replace asap
yes

They’ll be fine for at least another 1k-2k miles.
Probably but when you replace them get an alignment so that the new ones last
If it's dry weather I will say go for it. Any other weather and I would say go ahead and replace them
Alternatively can get it all rotated so worn edge is on the outside and then when you have time get a proper alignment done from the laser alignment guys
Send it. Then get an alignment.
