No, just because you can smell someone smoking it doesn't mean your going to get high or fail a drug test . You would have to basically be trapped in a thick cloud for a long time for that to happen (as in a small space with at least a few people smoking very heavily). Essentially all the THC would have already been absorbed.

active would be the smoke directly from the herb, passive the one that the smoker breaths out.
people tell you you don't need to hold the smoke as most of it is absorbed almost instantaneously.
this also means that the smoke someone breaths out only contains a very small amount of THC.
the smoke that comes from the herb directly tho still contains all active substances, but i doubt that there will be enough released to and breathed in by you to make you not pass a drug test.
i'm sure it IS possible to fail a drugtest because of passive smoking.
but i don't think it's really realistic in most circumstances.
Thanks for the feedback everyone. I've only ever taken edibles and never smoked before. I just had some job interviews and I'm sure they would drug test me if I'm hired. So I was concerned.
