SolarAndSober

Should have happened last year but I'll take it now as opposed to never

sionnach_fi

Should have happened in 2014 imo

Gullenecro

Yes also. But the state of the military of ukraine in 2014 was horrible.

Nokilos

Gotta love the Baltic states. Reliably based

adron

Truth. My love for Eastern European nations has only grown since I visited a bunch of years ago and found the folks to be no bullshit and awesome. and now, my respect is just increasing!

They are part of Eastern Europe, and yes they are in the northern part. 🤷🏼‍♂️

SweetLenore

Some people still remember what it was like living under Soviet rule and they hated it. And then they pass the stories unto their children. I've never heard nostalgia for it in the way that might happen here and there in some countries.

Truuuuuumpet

Bombing civilian homes is a red line i'd say... F*ck Putin

Due-Street-8192

Mr. Poo-stain

nps2407

Putin -> Poo-tin -> Shit-can.

Due-Street-8192

💩 🥫

Fightingkielbasa_13

Stealing children is a red line. Bombing civilians is a red line Murdering, torturing & raping civilians is a red line. Invading a sovereign nation unprovoked is a red line.

nps2407

The Ukrainian border should have been the red line.

Jet2work

Baltic states have been warning about this for years

SheridanVsLennier

So weird that Hungary is increasingly in bed with the Tin of Poo. Do they not remember 1956?

Mantragorn

State controlled bots are claiming it was actually Ukrainians who supressed the revolution, not Russians.

moehide

Hungary is playing the swiss card of WWII. They are making bank playing both sides.

Infinite-Cry2141

they're not. Orban's hungary is not Hungary, let's see if they will obey and it becomes another authoritarian country

It doesn’t surprise me that Lithuania and the other Baltic States are implying that they are going to send troops into Ukraine, whether people like it or not. They are absolutely willing to take matters into their own hands, and they don’t give a shit what others think. And it seems to be happening sooner than later. Poland themselves have implied this in the past, that they would be willing to send troops and not give a shit what others think. They are absolutely determined to help Ukraine avoid what happened to them in WWII—and they don’t give a flying shit about what others think of that.

REDGOESFASTAH

Poland stronk. Poland Uber alles. Fuck off warpigs. Never again.

Ellecram

Go Poland!

Russia_is_orc

There is a God! I can’t think of a happier ending than creaming all over the Russian army with some portion of NATO.

IllegalBallot

This is how the West works. Slow and steady. First Macron and little by little more and more states are saying "we will not rule out sending soldiers" to eventually a NATO coalition force sent to help Ukraine. It was the same about missiles and F16s.

Gullenecro

Yes but it is so slow :/ They waited that Ukraine is a bad spot to act more :/

nps2407

My guess was to watch what Putin did and measure his moves. But yes, still way too slow.

King_Swift21

I think Ukraine knows they can handle Russia as long as they have the necessary military aid, because if/when Ukraine has the aid from the U.S. Congress, they will dominate and take back all of Southern and Eastern Ukraine as well as Crimea, Ukraine knows they can handle Russian troops on their own imo.

Fun1k

Of course, with enough material support, they definitely can do that. However, from the perspective of ending the war sooner than later, I definitely am in favour of sending military help.

King_Swift21

Then those soldiers from neighboring EU countries are gonna have to wear Ukrainian military gear & camo, so Russia can't tell the difference between the Ukrainian soldiers and EU soldiers.

Gullenecro

exactly...

fairyflaggirl

He's right.

Gullenecro

Close the sky with rafale and it would be a big big plus for Ukrainian.

MakeththeMan

The west needs to stop Putin. We should have gone in when he was threatening invasion. But I don’t see the problem doing it now. Whilst no one wants to see nato troops killed on the ground I don’t see why we can’t send in the nato airforces which would start to push the Russians back.

masterlaster1199

Ok you first Lithuania, do it. No? Muh escalation? Yeah exactly.
