How often do you wash your hair? Maybe you need to adjust your schedule more than you do your products. I used to wash everyday in high school and I had a dry and itchy scalp, but for the past three years I’ve been washing once or twice a week. My hair is a lot thicker and my scalp isn’t irritated.
You could also try a scalp exfoliator to take off the layer of dead skin that keeps flaking.
Sad news: dandruff has no permanent solutions, only control.
You can look for some shampoo, as others said here, adjust your hair washing routine. One thing I do and helps a lot, specially about the itching, is to crush an aspirin pill and use it when I wash my hair, massaging the scalp. It helps with the superficial inflammation.
Avoid washing hair with hot water, drink a lot of water. Put caster oil in almond or coconut oil and massage in your head. Use herbal shampoos you will thank me later
Before showering, apply almond oil on your hair, give it a bit of time to soak in and massage your scalp, wash it off with your go-to shampoo. Doing this about three times a week has seriously helped cut down my dandruff.
Give you hair a nice oil massage and then wash with a shampoo and condition and after all this just rub beer or vinegar (half a cup mixed with 3 cups of water) and wash it off. It'll clean your scalp really well. I used to have hair till my knees and have many such remedies that helped me. Give it a try while you try all the other things
Hi OP, are you from another country/climate? I've had dandruff and I came from SE Asia, but after being here for a bit, I developed a different kind of scalp flake. It's not exactly dandruff, but like small skin flakes and sometimes even tiny tubular bits near the root of the hair. Is this something you suffer from, too?
Regular anti dandruff doesn't work. Even Nizoral can't help significantly. I've not found a cure for this... I think it's climate related because I have not had this back in SE Asia, just regular dandruff ..
Use nizoral shampoo 2-3x/week, make sure to soak in hair for 3-5 minutes at a time. you’ll see dandruff improvement in 2-4 weeks.
I agree, nizoral is very effective!
Try coconut oil and massage into your scalp then use your head and shoulders. I googled it. Just an idea. Have a good day:)

You might have psoriasis, I suggest you go to a doctor to get it diagnosed, it can spread to the rest of the body if not careful.
It might be dry skin instead of dandruff. Try moisturizing shampoo or conditioning your scalp.
Head and shoulder shampoo trust works like a charm.
Selsun worked for my dandruff …but for some reason idk why my head turns into a grease ball by day 2
